I must say that I miss Faythe’s development alot nowadays cause she’s picking up words like choo choo train. Everyday when I go pick her up, she’s got new words under her pocket to amaze me…and the things she says, really can make all of us laugh.
Satu Ringgit means a whole world to her
Last saturday, we were in MIL’s car (hubby, myself, MIL’s maid, Faythe & MIL – driving). This was what she said in the car:
Faythe: Satu ringgit…
Mommy: What you say Faythe?
Faythe: Satu ringgit…
MIL: wahh..who teach you to say that?
MIL’s maid: saya ajar lah (I thought her)
MIL told us that she gave Faythe a dollar yesterday and Faythe hold it all the way to the shopping mall. Then she dragged MIL and pointed on so many things to buy with her satu ringgit. In the end bought a cotton candy, that also MIL gotta top up…money value so small eh..
2 days ago, she said Satu ringgit again while I was driving to MIL’s house to drop them off.
Faythe: satu ringgit…buy…
Mommy: What you want to buy with satu ringgit girl?
Faythe: Buy pizzzaaaaaa (she said the zaaaa pretty long)
Mommy: giggles…girl, satu ringgit can’t buy pizza lerr (Maid was also laughing in the car)
Faythe: Buy pizzaa
Mommy: Mommy teach you, twenty dollars..that can buy pizza
Faythe: *she kept quiet, probably trying to digest what I was telling her*

Wake up
Faythe enjoys reading a lot at this stage. Sometimes, she will just take her books and sit there quietly flipping the pages. Every night she will request Mommy to read to her.
Mommy as usual, so tired n sleepy (esp. on weekdays) most of the time I’ll read 2 books to her (if the book is short story) and 1 book (if it’s long story). I’m quite amazed that she can let me finish the whole long story (about 30mins) without losing attention.
After 2 books, usually I will tell her book oi oi…then I go to sleep and tries to put her to sleep too. Lately, she refuse to sleep and this is what happens:
Faythe: *Still flipping the book and talking to herself* whale…swallow..daddy…fish…and some funny language I don’t know what she says
Mommy: Faythe, oi oi OK. Mommy sleepy liao..*I start to doze to wonderland, eyes really can’t open*
Faythe: Mommy mommy…wake up!! *she slaps her hand on my face*
Mommy: Ouch!! pain lah…Cannot beat Mommy OK. When you wake people up, you have to be gentle, like this (I showed her what’s the diff within whacking me up and patting me up)
Faythe: she gently patted on my cheeks and say Mommy wake up..
Mommy: Yes..clever girl..Mommy’s eyes continue to close and doze off again…
Faythe: Mommy, wake up!!
Mommy: *this time I really can’t already, so tired*
Faythe: Mommy, wake up..*She used her fingers and open my eyelids!!*
Mommy: Mommy oi oi liao..see eyes closed
Faythe: Faythe open..kakaka…Mommy read…
No choice, I went to switch off the lights OR else this lil fella will not gonna sleep and leave me alone as well..FInally, both of us went to visit Zhau Gung

Bilingual
Faythe learns a lot of Malay words nowadays from the maids. Sometimes she uses them and mix together with other words. Most of the time we can understand what she’s trying to speak. Sometimes when we can’t, she does translation for us too
MIL’s maid: Faythe come..kakak give mom mom (food)
Faythe: don’t want…runaround and playing with her toys
MIL’s maid: Faythe come lahh…kakak give mom mom (food)
Faythe: Tak mau lahhh (she thought the maid didn’t understand, so she told her in Malay language LOL)
Another scene:
Faythe: Faythe cook
Mommy: What you cooking?
Faythe: Cook rice
Mommy: OOhh..what is cook (trying to pull her legs)
Faythe: Masak…masak rice
Mommy: *giggles*…Faythe cook for who?
Faythe: Daddy!! (Whenever we ask her she cook for who, she will only say daddy)
Mommy: rice only ah…no dishes?
Faythe: *kept quiet to think* fishhhh…
Mommy: ooh fish, nice, how bout choi (veg) got or not?
Faythe: Got…
Daddy has a yummy meal LOL

Nyanyuk
Sometimes she’s so playful that she can address people wrongly. This happened in MIL’s house one evening when I went to fetch them home. MIL was sitting on one side of the sofa, and I was at another different sofa. Faythe was running within the 2 of us, climbing up and down the sofa set.
Faythe: *run to MIL* grandmaa…and went to hug MIL
Faythe: *ran to me* Mommy…and climb on top sat on my lap
She did a few rounds of running within the 2 of us at one time:
Faythe: *running towards me* Grand..she paused for a while, then Mommy
Mommy: What..u call Mommy grand ma..kakakaka….
MIL: Nyanyuk already lah you girl
Faythe: hahaha…she was giggling away
That was a quick pause and change..never thought she can do that at such a young age, so pandai twisting words liao kekeke
