She must be thinking…

seriously, I don’t know what she was thinking, when she put this on her head.

Can you imagine my shocking face when I saw this…LOL

It was on a saturday noon, I was busy typing away on my computer and they were playing in their room (which is just next to each other and joined by the toilet).

Suddenly, Faythe hop over and said, “Mommy see”

So I turn around and that was what I saw LOL. Couldn’t contain my laugh, I quickly snatch my camera and took a photo.

She found a good use of the Tarzan paper bag from Wendy’s, but I’m just curious why she put it on her head.

She told me it’s a mask.

Then she pretended walking like a blind back to her room.

Do you have child like this at home?

Wait till I show you a picture of her sitting on the broom pretending to be a witch :P .

Deciphering Vyktore’s Language

Vyktore is a serious late talker. When we celebrated his 3rd birthday, that was the 1st time he said Nemo (2 syllabus word) after so many months saying MO.

Soon after that, he started picking up words like a sponge absorbing water, repeating every word we say. Sometimes he seems like an old man, keeps repeating his words over n over again until you acknowledge what he says and repeat it yourself.

And the words he speaks are totally out of pronounciation (80% of the time) and we all have a hard time trying to figure out what he’s trying to tell us. Unlike Faythe, when she started talking, she speaks with clear pronounciation without us having to guess what she was saying, Vyktore is the total opposite.

Here are some of the words I manage to decipher for the record :) .

  • Wa chi wa-ter – Want drink water
  • Wa chi chu-chu – Want drink susu
  • Toh fah – you’ll never guess what is this, it means Optimus Prime. Don’t ask me why he says toh fah LOL, we try to teach him say Optimus Prime, he just some how short cut it
  • Toh fah big wo-li – Optimus Prime Big Lorry
  • Bar bee – Bumblebee, another short form from him
  • Fider – spider
  • Sh eat fider – fish eat spider
  • A-wu – ants
  • Ra way – runaway
  • Tock up – buttock up (when I wear pampers for him at night I usually say buttock up)
  • Put meh shene – put medicine
  • Yelo – saying hello over the phone
  • Papa jak big sh – papa catch big fish
  • Mac-do-wer – Mcdonald
  • Chi-chen – chicken
  • Sell sory – tell story

Although I have a hard time deciphering all his words, I totally enjoy it because they sound so gibberish and cute. Seriously, I never been thru this phase as a mother of 2, hence I’m enjoying myself decoding and we sometimes have a good laugh after decoding these words. But sometimes it’s quite confusing and frustrating for him and us as well, cause we try to hard to think what he tries to tell us and we keep getting it wrong.

When Daddy came home last week, the 1st thing he asked Faythe, “Can di di talk now”. This is what our witty girl answered:

He can.

In the morning, he will say, “Bad robot, bad robot”

In the afternoon, he will say, “Bad robot, bad robot”

At night, he wll also say, “Bad robot, bad robot”

hahaha……..that is so Vyktore!!

Rough Play

Sometimes people ask me, isn’t it tiring to have 2 kids with such a close gap.

Yes, I admit it’s sure tiring, especially during the 1st 2 yrs, when 1 can barely walk, but the other one talks like a parrot.

But now that Vyktore is 3+ and Faythe is 4.5, I simply love having 2 kids with such close gap. They are the ultimate playmate, warmate and what haves you.

Some weekends ago, as usual, we will take our 2pm nap on Saturday.

Faythe charging up herself with MILO

So it all started off with milk drinking session but ended up with gusti over my king size bed. They had so much fun wrestling with each other. And I had so much fun testing out my new lense with my stash of blur photos.

Yup, even with a DSLR, you can still get blur photos, but to me, it doesn’t matter cause these are great moments for 2 of them.

All photos were taken without flash, I just open up my rooms curtain for natural light, bump up the ISO and set my camera with the desired settings & snap snap & away.

So lets get the wrestling session rolling….

Vyktore charging up himself with SUSU

Faythe showing her strong legs

Both of them raised their legs to see who’s is longer. Obviously Faythe’s.

Finishing off her power MILO.

Almost done with his SUSU.

ROUND ONE – ATTACK…

Faythe started to attack Vyktore

But he’s will not loose out so easily. He tried tickling Faythe LOL

Then Vyktore attempt a jump on Faythe while Faythe raised her legs up

Tadahh…caught my victim

Faythe trying to runaway LOL

Vyktore caught Faythe

Now Faythe try to catch Vyktore while he runs off

And down he goes…Faythe wins over…maybe?

Both catching a breath..continue ROUND 2

Leg up

Pushing each other away

Opps..and Vyktore sat on Faythe and caught in action

Faythe got up and hugs Vyktore

He’s down by Faythe!!

Not quite yet, Vyktore rolls over Faythe now

And goes on top of her

Victorious smile LOL

Both of them go sommersault

There goes the kungfu feet

One last jump on Faythe

And he walks out as winner…Look at his cheeky face

But Faythe is back with revenge

Try so hard to wrestle Vyktore

But seriously, Faythe is not his match

She’s still not giving up though

And more legs from the kids

So tired he gotta take 5

Faythe, she doesn’t want to loose

But Vyktore is smelling victory again

Roll over Faythe once more

And there…in the end Faythe surrender

No worries, nobody were hurt during this rough out session. No bruises or cuts. They totally enjoyed it and after that we all went for our nap. All so tired, so dozed off very quickly :) .

Her birthday & Ice Age

Weekend was packed to the brim. 2 photoshoot in the mornings, 1 birthday celebration & a movie night.

We celebrated Sue’s birthday @ Umaiya Japanese Restaurant on Saturday. Earlier before lunch, we were at Sunway for a family portrait photoshoot. We vowed that we must finish on time, so that we can speed off home to grab the kids and head to the restaurant. We managed to finish off the photoshoot on time and off we went to Umaiya Japanese Restaurant. The last I visited the restaurant was during my Anniversary Celebration.

This round we booked a room, knowing there are 4 toddlers + 1 baby. But I don’t quite like the room setup, cause it comes with tables and chairs instead of tatami style. Come to think of it, it’s quite space consuming.

Birthday Girl & the kids were late. When they arrived, we (Evelyn, my bro & gf, myself, Faythe & Vyktore) already polish off most of the 1st round ordering. So we went ahead with 2nd round ordering when they arrived.

Then we had 3rd round, 4th round, and the final 2 rounds of ice creams.

Evelyn brought cupcakes for Sue hehe…but oops, we didn’t have the candles. So we just sang song and ate the cupcakes.

We were the last to leave the restaurant at 230pm.

All went home and took a long nap till 6pm. Then I bath the kids and we got ready for our 2nd activity, Ice Age 3.

Vyktore been I-Sage-ing (he pronounce Ice Age as I-Sage) me the whole week, even when we were at 1utama, he kept Ice-Sage-ing me and I had to repeatedly tell him that, “Yes, we are watching Ice Age later, now Mommy must go buy some stuff first”.

Again, we meet up with Sue, Ivan & Izac for the movies. My brother & gf came along as well, so I could ditch my maid at home nyek nyek nyek…

I enjoyed the movie as much as the kids did.

Faythe had her own seat and were glued to her seat from the start till finish. Some parts of it, she even shouted “Run faster run” and her legs and hands were moving as though she’s running haha..No, we didn’t watch 3D, it’s the normal screening. She sounds as though she’s part of the movie.

Vyktore, speechless. When the dinosaur came on screen, he got a scare and didn’t want to watch. So I asked him to close his eyes. From then on, my hands were literally stuck to his face so that he could half cover his face, half watch the movie LOL. He adores dinosour, but not very sure why he’s afraid of them when they are on big screen.

That was pretty much what happened over the weekend. Sunday was another photoshoot at Kepong. Then I brought the kids for a haircut. I went for a haircut too. Then we had some fun at the park and had dinner before heading home. Packed weekend but enjoyed it totally. I must maximize all my time usage before Daddy comes back :) .

More photos taken during the lunch at Umaiya Japanese Restaurant.

Faythe also busy taking photo with my camera phone. She got upset when all of us were busy taking photo and nobody wanted to pose for her.

This is some tofu *yong* with some meat and deep fried. Love this. First time tasting this. Recommended by Evelyn.

With all the meat & fried food, we need to stay abit healthy with some Umaiya Salad. It comes with Avocado, crabsticks, lettuce & other stuff. I find it a bit salty though.

Izac, having his share of chawanmushi.

Eve & Sue, classmates in school. I knew Eve via another net friend, only to find out later we were schoolmates. Then I met Sue over the net only to find out we were schoolmates too, then I intro both of them online since they are from the same year and voila, they were classmates LOL. What in the world is this LOL.

Some sushi I ordered can’t recall what’s the name. It has some crunchy stuff in it, with some raw salmon. I finished most of it cause everyone else were stuffed to the brim.

I think this is softshell crab sushi, come with omelette. Can’t recall if I ate this or not though.

My all time favourite, fried Unagi with Teriyaki Sauce. I ordered 2 plates of this and can you imagine I polished off most of it cause most of them don’t eat Unagi!! Gosh, this is Daddy’s all time favourite!!

Yakitori, grilled chicken. Sue’s kids love this, we had 2-3 plates.

My bro’s GF, Joni. So happen it’s long weekend in Penang, she came over. Enjoying her green tea ice cream.

Who else, me and my handsome boy. So difficult to get him pose for photos nowadays.

Vyktore, he had a great time running in circles in the room. The only thing we love about the room was the wallpaper, DUHH!!

Ivan, just arrived at the restaurant looking blur. And that’s my dearest brother. He’s older than me, let me tell you this before everyone thinks I’m the oldest :P .

Evelyn, busy playing with her iPhone 3GS. Slurps slurpss…Joley, almost going to Lala-Land.

Busy placing orders on the order sheet. This is Faythe, her expression enjoying salmon. She had like 10 slices or more of salmon!! And I told her it’s good for brain, so she thinks by eating more she’d be smarter than Mommy :P .

Softshell crab. The kids love this. We ordered like 3-4 plates. Dragon roll, you can’t miss this, 2 plates please!!

Baby Octopus & another variety of tofu. Didn’t quite like this one though.

Are you hungry enough? Hehehe…So what did you do during the weekend?

Syabas R.O.C.K.S

Tonight as I was sitting in front of my PC blog hopping, Lawrence came and told me that there’s water rationing.

Then he reminded me about this email my colleague sent out last week about water disruption throughout Malaysia. So I thought oo, could be our turn today. But I didn’t recall reading my area affected in that email.

Anyway, so off I went to try dig some info from our dearest Google.

I look for water rationing and it didn’t provide much info, hence I thought, might as well try Syabas.

Guess what, Syabas is on Twitter!! This is really cool!!

And to add more coolness to this, they actually twit about their water disruption on twitter!! ROCKS totally!!

It’s very rare that our service provider are on twitter announcing disruption. If you expect this from screamyx, I bet you will never get it, cause to them they are never down, only your line has problem :P . Not that I use screamyx, but I’ve heard enough complains about them.

And I did a Ctrl+F (Find function) and tadaa…here’s what I found. Strike lottery also not that tepat LOL.

Ptlg(5pm 13/7-6am 14/7)sched disruptn.PELANGI DAMANSARA,TROPICANA COUNTRY HOMES,SELURUH BDR UTAMA,BDR UTAMA 1-12.
Bravo to Syabas for being so up to date with technology, in fact I’m not even a twitter user, getting too old to catch up with all these stuff.
OK, back to my OT :) .
In case you want to check your area, here’s the twitter website: http://twitter.com/puspel

> LA <

A friend recently told me that she might be moving to LA soon due to work relocation. I simply can’t imagine that at this time of economy dowturn her company is still giving her a relocation to high cost country :| . She must be a lucky fella. Lets hope that she’s not gonna be VSS after that :P . She’s been telling me about moving companies Los Angeles and what they offer, seriously, I have no idea if their charges are reasonable or not. Compared to here, it’s surely much more expensive, but I guess these are more professional movers compared to our local ones.

> Ageing gracefully <

Now that I’m into my 30s, I start to feel that I’m ageing slowly. Signs of wrinkles are popping up. I no longer can stay up late at night, but instead opt to sleep early most of the time. Or is it because I’m lack of exercise that causes this. Before this, I’ve never looked into investing some best wrinkle cream, but I think it’s time for me to look for a reliable one which can reduce the wrinkle particularly at the eyes area.

> What’s the best <

There are just so many weight lost pills in the market, sometimes you are not even sure if that’s the right one for you. Each of them gives you different effects & side effects. But to me, the best is to get some advise from the expert before you decide to make your purchases. I don’t think anyone out there would want to end up becoming otherwise with the wrong usage of weight lost pills. If that’s the case, even the best weight loss supplements available would not be of much help.

> More buffets? <

Come this weekend, we’ve arranged yet another Japanese buffet lunch @ Umaiya Restaurant. My dearest husband been craving for it and he insist he must go this time when he’s back. Whoa, within 2 weeks I’ve been going to non stop Japanese buffet. With crazy plans like this, I need to calling my doctor to prescribe me with top diet pills pretty soon.

Rewind: Mid Term Review

(photos taken the weekend right before school starts)

School started like 3 weeks ago after the end of 1st semester. Right after the semester break, the kids school had Parents Teachers Day. Being a part time single parent, I was there to listen to 2 teachers and go home to report to Daddy what’s going on with the kids.

I must say that I’m pretty happy with the current school they are attending. Albeit a bit far from home, but it’s certainly worth all the traveling time. Mind you, my parents sent me to school which were like 25km away from home and if they can do that, I don’t see why I can’t (no lah, their school not so far, but the jam just makes the experience not so pleasant).

Here’s what I’ve managed to write down during the 1-1 session with each of their teacher.

Faythe:

  • controls & writes very well, but her chinese writings are like cendol dancing around LOL
  • she prefers english than rest of the subjects, but her fave being art & craft
  • not very confident with numbers especially 4,5,6.
  • she loves to draw and scribble
  • not very attentive during Mandarin lessons, at times she even fell asleep in class *slap forehead*
  • she follows the rules during games
  • sometimes quite talkative
  • not bossy – she used to be very bossy in her previous school
  • during snack time sometimes she doesn’t eat the food brought from home
  • enjoys devotion time (bible story) & super fun time
  • when she first started, she likes to disturb people when everyone was praying. But now she’d ask her friends to keep quiet LOL
  • very persistent
  • needs to brush up in her Mandarin

Faythe scored 100% for both English & Mandarin, 92% for Maths & B+ for writing.

Overall, she’s considered very mature (oldest in the class) for a 4 years old.

Vyktore:

  • he loves numbers and would sit down quitely during numbers lesson.
  • able to recognise 2,3,4,5,6, occasionally 8.
  • he’s showing more interest in alphabets but not recognising them yet.
  • loves singing especially fast tunes.
  • not interested with motor skills activity
  • very scared of dirt LOL
  • sometimes picky with his food
  • his strong point: he’s a king at the playground during PE time LOL. He can jump, walk up the slide, all sorts of stunts *shakes head*

Overall, he’s slower compared to his peers and only started talking recently. But can see he’s picking up alot lately and talking non stop.

School tuition can become expensive.  Payday loans could help provide a great education for your children.
