Last friday, SIL sms-ed to inform me that Faythe’s classmate been contracted with H1N1. But school at that time didn’t take any actions. I checked with SIL (also a paed) what we should do. She advise that we should give the kids flu jab, just in case.

Today I sent them to school as usual, at 10am, I received a call from the principal. Usually when I get a call from school, I sort of panic. Cause I’m worried something bad happened to them. Maybe they fainted in school O.o. Maybe they had nose bleed (which they often do) & it went out of control. Then the principle told me that they need to quarantine her class, so I need to pick her up.

Good thing I didn’t have any meetings on this morning, so I went to pick her up. Teacher gave her tonnes of homework to make sure she’s occupied O.o.

2 hours later, MIL sms-ed me, Vyktore is also under quarantine, since he has close contact with Faythe. Yikes!!! Do I have to quarantine myself too? I checked with my HR mgr, not necessary, since we don’t have any fever.

They are both fine, in fact I think they are happy they don’t need to go to school, especially Vyktore. Vyktore has a bit of runny nose, but that’s more like dust allergy more than anything.

Time to boost everyone’s immune system with more Vit C.

I’m still busy tidying up my photos from Borobodur. Looking back at all those photos, sometimes makes me wonder how capable human are. Even before Christ (B.C.), they could build such mega structure. Isn’t it amazing. When I was there, I touch and feel the stones & carvings on it. I could feel the history in me. Well, I’m very much of a history freak. My ambition was to be an archaelogist!! *Don’t laugh OK*.

Can’t live my life to be an archaeologist, but visit to such place really brings back good old history memory :).

Here’s a photo taken from the top of Borobodur. The view, simply breathtaking. That lil triangle hanging in the sky is Gunung Merapi, life volcano. Not a photoshop add-on-mountain ya (in case you wondering :P).

I spent like 3 hours trekking this whole place till the driver got worried and kept SMS-ing me where am I. Seriously, I mean, it’s a historical site OK…you sure gotta spend some time here. And with so much of trekking, I doubt I need to get myself a nordictrack audiostrider 990 pro to keep me going.

..have time to blog about something before I depart for my trip last week. But I’m totally wrong! I was so so so busy preparing for the trip, co-ordinating for training that is happening to KL, and many other things that at 1 point I asked myself. What’s going on MAN. Why is there so many things happening at the same time?

Seriously, I’m pretty much exhausted at times that I can’t even think straight. Workload is up to the neck (or maybe up to the head). Each time I take off or travel for work, the email just get more n more. Each day I’m getting like at least 50 mails, which 1/2 of them needs my attention.

Where did I go last week? I was at Jakarta & Bandung to pay a visit to my service partners. It’s really an eye opener. If you think KL is jam, wait till you see Jakarta. You’d probably die sitting in endless traffic jam there LOL. The jam starts right from the morning till late night. Even during weekends, there are cars everywhere.  Don’t forget the high security at all places all time, thanks to all the bomb threats. I shall post some of my photos from Jakarta/Bandung soon, lets hope it’s not gonna take long.

So where did we left last? My Phuket trip still…..Gosh….I have so much to catch up, including our last weekend Halloween Trick or Treat Celebration. Yikes, photos still in the camera!! I think even my camera is feeling the stress cause he’s working day in day out like me LOL.

OK, I’m pretty exhausted with words for now. I’ve been awake since 530am to catch up with some office work. I’m pretty done with it, thought it’s best to post this up before it becomes too *OLD* to be posted.

Here are more photos of the buildings & architecture of Phuket. If you look carefully, it reminds you alot of Penang & Malacca. I didn’t arrange them in sequence (too lazy).

love the contrasting door against the pink background.

an old shop selling clothes or was it a tailor

a temple we visited

another temple we visited. There are plenty of Chinese Temples in Phuket. That’s why it feels so like in Penang.

Signboard in the temple.

I took this photo cause of the contrasting banner against the white washed wooden house.

Bridal shop.

Something that we can never miss when we travel in ASIAN countries…Hawkers on bike selling food/drinks.

I can’t recall if this a restaurant or boutique, but I like how the windows. Look, both sides are different LOL.

Another view of Classic Barn.

A shop selling 2nd hand books.

Aged windows

On On Hotel. Would you stay here?

Seat for *raja sehari*?

Window grille. Looks like design from the 70s. My parents’ old house has quite similar design as this.

Anyone wants to buy a Honda Civic here :P. Nah…they only sell bikes over here. I didn’t spot any car.

Love the outstanding lime green shop against the rest of the old shops.

Soi Romanee. I lurve all the arches, the door….simply everything lah..

Soi Romanee…colourful right!! I must go back here again to take some photos in my next trip cause I didn’t have enough of it arghh…

Grille….very old style.

Lock.

AND more locks…

more aged buildings

different designs of buildings

and more…

and more…not forgetting the lady selling feather duster :P

Contrasting effect of the buildings. The pic on my left is one of my favourite cause so happen the monk is there and it sort of matches the colour of that shop.

On the left, a restaurant. That picture is so so so old, probably taken like 60s?

Another temple we frequent during our visit.

more buildings in Phuket

Clock tower in Phuket town.

Need I say anymore…

Ahh…I’m so so so in love with the architecture of each building. I couldn’t get enough of it man. In the end I have to give up, cause Daddy says it’s all the same.

Daddy decided to leave me behind cause I’m too slow LOL.

A few more buildings to go.

A shop used to sell Panasonic products I supposed?

Soi Romanee. Nice ya this street!!

I think the one on left is Soi Romanee. The one on right isn’t.

Whoa….finally it’s the last photo. If you spend a lot of time admiring the architecture in Phuket, you probably can’t finish the town in 1 day. We took like 1/2 a day to comb the whole town.

Guess what, we are going back to Phuket this month. This round with the kids. Lets hope I won’t be taking more photos of the buildings.

Sep 3

Over the long weekend, we didn’t travel out of town, knowing that there’ll be major traffic jam due to school holidays & National Day. We stayed at home and lucky enough, we didn’t rot ourselves up at home LOL.

I brought the kids to bird park on a Monday morning after anticipating that the roads will not be blocked after 10am since the National Day Parade has been cut short thanks to H1N1.

It weren’t too crowded on that day. I guess nowadays most people are staying out from public areas thanks to health concerns. We were there by 11am, got our passes and went in right away.

Though it’s Vyktore’s 2nd time, he refused to wear the wrist band provided. He insisted on taking it out throughout the whole trip, but at the same time he kept reminding himself “Cannot take out”. Talk about confusion :P.

The last round when they came with the school, Faythe told me she fed the parrots. I didn’t believe she was that daring O.o. So she’s all so excited to proof me wrong during our 2nd trip.

I must admit that I enjoy myself more at the bird park more than Aquaria KLCC haha…I’m really not a fan of the birds family, but I figure that the way this Park is designed is much better than Aquaria. Ooopps…I don’t think I should be comparing apple to apple, since one is indoor, the other is outdoor.

(Faythe with the parrots, Vyktore the closest he gets to the bird for a photo)

The first stop, there was this guy holding a polaroid camera and going around asking people if they want to take photos. It was RM10/photo, not too exhorbitant I think. Faythe instantly jumped up and offered herself O.o. Vyktore, though he loves bird, he refused to get close to the parrots..sigh…

The man was also kind enough to allow us to take photo with our own digicam. Look at my lil girl, so daring right. Even I dare not hold the parrot like that.

After that we went for lunch at the hornbill cafe. I opted to sit outside to catch a glimpse of the Hornbill, and yes we did spotted 1-2 flying from tree to tree. But I didn’t manage to get close enough to take photos. No zoom lense mah…

After lunch, we continued the walk in bird park. Good thing was it was pretty cloudy that day. Then we came to another area where they offer photo sessions again.

(An eagle behind the cage)

And again, Faythe was tempted to take photos, this round with owls and eagles O.o. I didn’t allow her to go though, as those 2 are from the wild, I’m pretty skeptical if they’d be safe enough for photos. So we just watch some other children taking photos with the birds.

After that, we came to this area where there were plenty of parrots and you may feed them with the kuaci provided by the bird attendant with a fee of RM2. Faythe offered herself to hold the container of kuaci. The parrots started pecking and peckign non stop.

Look how she enjoys feeding the parrot LOL…Vyktore were a bit scared as there were too many, he only touched them gently.

A parrot spotted in the cage. It doesn’t look too happy to me. We then pass by this giant man made waterfall where it leads to the playground. Both of them got excited and they spent some quality time at the playground while I took some time to rest. It was huge, it has like 6 slides of different heights. Vyktore enjoyed himself so much sliding and trying out all the slides at the playground.

We then saw some bigger birds like cassowary, emu & ostrich before we went to the nursery where they had chicks and ducklings. The photo above is our dearest Faythe. She says the ostrich walks like that LOL.

And the photo below, is a cassowary. Faythe look at it and said, “Mommy look, this bird wears a red tie”. hahaha…I lurve that remark.

Vyktore enjoyed squeezing the chicks at the nursery and didn’t wanna go off *roll eyes*. I didn’t take a picture of him doing that as there were quite a few children there as well.

We stop over at the souvenir shop and got 2 lil gifts for their own and we finally left the place by 3pm. A rather satisfying trip. They say next round they must bring Daddy along.

By the way, if you have a MyKad & MyKid, you pay like 1/2 the price of normal rates. Very worth it. I didn’t bring their MyKid along, but I think they still gave discount. I only paid RM40+ for 2 adults & 2 kids.

Aug 31

Sorry, went MIA for sometime. Was busy rushing out photos for our customers over at TwoPixels.

Right before the 1 week break, the kids had their TJC sports day in Yuk Chai Primary School. I was all excited as this is the 1st ever sports day for both my children. Anxious, whether they know what to do, worried if they’d cry if they see me at the parents tent. Basically all sorts of feeling.

(her fav pose without looking at the camera)

Faythe knew what she had to do as she has been practicing that for 2 weeks. She told me briefly at home that she has to catch a fish. Then balance herself by walking slowly, then feed the fish to the shark and run back.

Vyktore, as usual, he doesn’t know what’s happening.

On the day itself, I prepared sausages for both of their class as per request from the teacher. The weather looked cloudy and I was pretty worried that it’s gonna rain.

Vyktore didn’t want to go to school at first, but when we reach a different *school* he started to warm up. I left both of them at the children’s tent and headed to parents tent. Since I was late, I didn’t really get a good seat.

(this photo reminds me so much of myself when I was at her age. I was also dressed in yellow during sports day)

Then I left my stuff with my brother, and I went to take some shots of them prior to the event.

(score chart, love how they name each game)

The day started with 6yo students marching out. Then followed by 5yo, 4yo & 3yo. They all look so cute, marching out, waving at the parents tent. Faythe spotted me, but not Vyktore though I did call out to both of them.

(Vyktore and his class, preparing to march out)

Then there were speeches given by pastor, principle & CES’ director before they flag off the start of sports day.

(Faythe waving at the crowd)

Faythe’s event was 4th. I sat at the line from far and took photos of her waiting for the event to begin. Thank god I borrowed a zoom lense from my friend, it was really helpful. I didn’t have to runaround, just sit at 1 side and I manage to zoom in close to take some shots.

She was so cool walking after catching the fish. Balancing herself very well. Then drop the fish into the shark’s mouth. Then she ran as fast as she could, like Dash (of Incredibles). I told her to run fast so that she can finish fast LOL.

Her team came in 3rd overall.

After that it was Vyktore’s turn (or was it he first then Faythe, can’t remember). They were suppose to hop on the hoola hoop then collect 2 rings, run and go around then come back with the rings. Pretty easy, they even cut short the route for the 3yo.

Nevertheless, this boy of mine is pretty blur. So there was a teacher standing next to him to tell him what to do. If not, I bet he’d run all over the place haha…..

His team came in 2nd overall.

It started raining when the prize giving ceremony started. So they had to present the prize at the children’s tent.

The whole event ended by 12pm and it rained quite heavily when we got into our car.

I must appraise the teachers for organising this event. It was really successful. They even had games for parents. They gave medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd runner up. 4th had some parcel like gift (not sure what’s that). Then each kid is also given a party pack too :).

More photos taken during the day.

Faythe waving at me after she march in & saw me at the parents tent.

Vyktore marching in. He look so so serious LOL.

Vyktore lining up after the march.

Gosh, look at my sleepy princess. And that boy behind LOL.

This is Vyktore, the only one still standing.

6 YO students doing a cheer with the instructor.

They didn’t have enough chairs & tents for the parents. But nevertheless, we as parents wouldn’t mind sitting on the grass. Afterall, nobody wants to miss their kids in action.

Vyktore waiting for his turn and busy biting his naisl….grrr……

Vyktore doing the bunny hop.

Faythe waiting for his turn.

That’s her feeding the shark.

Then she ran as fast as she could.

I tell you, she sure has long legs, just like me :P.

She spotted me from far.

And she showed me how fast she run (like Dash from Incredible) LOL.

Faythe & Nathaniel

Vyktore, trying to point at my camera.

Busy eating nuggets.

Vyktore posing for me.

Faythe & Nathaniel eating snacks prepared by parents.

Daddy tug-of-war.

Mommy tug-of-war.

Faythe, Vyktore (posing with his big tummy) & their friend, can’t recall what name.

Faythe, her buddy, Yiu Yiu & their class teacher.

Faythe & Yiu Yiu. Faythe & Gabriel (cousin)

That’s all for the day. I think I’m more tired than them for the sports day…

I’ve been pressed left n right when I’m ever gonna post the photos up. This is what happens when you are a photographer and everyone expects you to post the photos up fast!!

(I love this pic of 3 of them together, giving that same facial expression LOL)

This post is specially for Daddy (he’s the one chasing me everyday when he can see the photos O.o).

We went to PD earlier this month. Yes!! AGAIN!!! We were supposed to go Penang, but at the very last minute, there were change of plans and Daddy feels that PD would be better, because there’s a bike expo in PD that weekend.

Since it was soo soo last minute, we didn’t even manage to book an apartment from our timeshare. So we did a day trip instead.

Daddy rode his bike down to PD with his biker friend, while the rest of us drove down (I’m the driver as usual).

The event was held at Eagle Ranch, a place I’ve been few years back when my office had team building.

Here are more photos of all sorts of bikes that were present at the expo. I got bored after a while cause I had to look after the kids and take photos at the same time, in the end I pass the camera to Daddy and let him take the photos.

Waiting at Eagle Ranch Reception

Daddy with a chrome plated bike

I love detail shots of the bikes, but Daddy prefers the full body cause he says that’s better

Look at the mini scooter!! So so cute!!! I didn’t allow the kids to go near though as next to it they placed a speaker and they were jamming out such loud music!!

A weird looking bike LOL

Vyktore posing with a mini racing bike

More bikes….I love the turquoise colour :)

More details of the turquoise colour bike. I love the detailed RIMS!!

Mafia bike O.o.

Some old bikes line up in a row

After we left the expo, we went to have seafood and it was raining cats n dogs. We waited for a while till the rain stopped, then we went to the beach for some beach fun. This round Vyktore refuse to get wet and he was protesting in this picture when Daddy dragged him into the sea LOL.

He rather play with his Optimus Prime Robot

My 2 sour face kids posing for photos :P

Faythe & Lin caught a baby spider and they were playing with it.

Vyktore was more interested in checking out Daddy’s bike. He must be thinking this will be his when he turns 16 next time :P.

Daddy was trying to do some baywatch-rolling-on-the-beach shot and here’s one of it :P. Sexy boh hahaha….

Vyktore found a preggy cat and he was happily feeding the cat with grapes O.o.

Lawrence & baby Jayden, Jayden’s 1st time going to beach and he loves it. But took him 2 hours to warm up.

Faythe, after enjoying herself at the beach for a few hours, she finally settle down in the car and play with Vyktore’s toys.

Vyktore was busy following the cat whenever it was heading to LOL.

Angie with baby Jayden.

Daddy & his bike.
Vyktore requested for a photo with the cat.

We had early dinner at PD and then headed back home. It was raining on our way back :(.

Lets hope we are not going to PD again in 2 months time.

Rough Play

Sometimes people ask me, isn’t it tiring to have 2 kids with such a close gap.

Yes, I admit it’s sure tiring, especially during the 1st 2 yrs, when 1 can barely walk, but the other one talks like a parrot.

But now that Vyktore is 3+ and Faythe is 4.5, I simply love having 2 kids with such close gap. They are the ultimate playmate, warmate and what haves you.

Some weekends ago, as usual, we will take our 2pm nap on Saturday.

Faythe charging up herself with MILO

So it all started off with milk drinking session but ended up with gusti over my king size bed. They had so much fun wrestling with each other. And I had so much fun testing out my new lense with my stash of blur photos.

Yup, even with a DSLR, you can still get blur photos, but to me, it doesn’t matter cause these are great moments for 2 of them.

All photos were taken without flash, I just open up my rooms curtain for natural light, bump up the ISO and set my camera with the desired settings & snap snap & away.

So lets get the wrestling session rolling….

Vyktore charging up himself with SUSU

Faythe showing her strong legs

Both of them raised their legs to see who’s is longer. Obviously Faythe’s.

Finishing off her power MILO.

Almost done with his SUSU.

ROUND ONE - ATTACK…

Faythe started to attack Vyktore

But he’s will not loose out so easily. He tried tickling Faythe LOL

Then Vyktore attempt a jump on Faythe while Faythe raised her legs up

Tadahh…caught my victim

Faythe trying to runaway LOL

Vyktore caught Faythe

Now Faythe try to catch Vyktore while he runs off

And down he goes…Faythe wins over…maybe?

Both catching a breath..continue ROUND 2

Leg up

Pushing each other away

Opps..and Vyktore sat on Faythe and caught in action

Faythe got up and hugs Vyktore

He’s down by Faythe!!

Not quite yet, Vyktore rolls over Faythe now

And goes on top of her

Victorious smile LOL

Both of them go sommersault

There goes the kungfu feet

One last jump on Faythe

And he walks out as winner…Look at his cheeky face

But Faythe is back with revenge

Try so hard to wrestle Vyktore

But seriously, Faythe is not his match

She’s still not giving up though

And more legs from the kids

So tired he gotta take 5

Faythe, she doesn’t want to loose

But Vyktore is smelling victory again

Roll over Faythe once more

And there…in the end Faythe surrender

No worries, nobody were hurt during this rough out session. No bruises or cuts. They totally enjoyed it and after that we all went for our nap. All so tired, so dozed off very quickly :).

Whoa, so much so for blog break, I almost forgot that I’m supposed to write a part 2 review of the EOE Online Service.

So I got those photos like ages ago..ahem…and I was so happy bout it (busy admiring) that I forgot completely about Part II of this review till recently I took the photos out and see them and prompted me to update my blog :P.

Was I happy with the print? Well of course. My first worry was that the printout will run too far from what I’ve edited. So when it came out pretty close to what I see on the screen, I was already jumping with joy. With such quality, I can ensure myself printing more photos, at least for the benefit of my MIL who prefers hardcopy than softcopy :).

I’ll be submitting my 2nd batch of photos soon. I bet I’m gonna go so broke….

OK, I’m moving back to my BLOG-SLEEPING-MODE…..zzzZZZzzzzzZZZZzzz
