A sun, drawn by Faythe

Apparently alot of bloggers went to Penang during that weekend. But Penang must be so big…cause none of us bump into each other despite the fact that some of us went to the same foodie place to fill our stomach :).

We were in Penang for some family gathering on my in laws side. We’ve not been to Penang for almost a year, since Mr. Hon is also back, so I took off 2 days to go Penang, but we only went 3 days, came back on Sunday…big mistake, should have come back on Monday, cause it was so jam!!

Took me 6.5 hours to reach PJ :(. Legs all aching, somemore I’m driving a manual car..yes ME, not Mr. Hon. He’s either dating with chau kung 80% of the time, or listening to his songs on iPod with his sound proof (dunno what expensive) earphone he bought from Japan till I had to shout and waive at him whenever I needed him to help check the kids etc. Occasionally, he’d asked if I’m OK or not. I prefer to drive, cause I can’t sleep in the car, and I have nothing to do as well, didn’t load my iPhone with movies whatsoever. I can’t read map either, so usually he’s the navigator, I’m the driver.

Anyway back to the trip:

DAY 1: 11TH JUN

Woo Kok is also a must.

We left at 630am on Friday, very early. Made our usual stop at Bidor for Herbal Duck Noodles. This trip, we drove 3 cars. SIL & MIL 1 car, our car & Lawrence family. Both of them enjoyed the noodles, especially Faythe.

That’s how much my breakfast cost :).

Jayden with his Ironman sign

Herbal Duck Noodles

Vyktore, looking a bit worried cause he has to eat noodles

My nephew nick named: Samson. He has curly locks, how cute.

Then we continued our drive to Penang, finally arrived at around 12pm, just in time for lunch. MIL brought us to eat somewhere, don’t know what Jalan lah…makan only. After that, went to Northam and helped MIL to check in since it was booked under Mr. Hon’s corporate rate. We didn’t stay at Northam cause Mr. Hon wanted to go to beach, so we stayed in Flamingo by the Beach Hotel together with Lawrence’s family.

Part of the hotel room. Quite spacious I’d say, with a nice view too. Only thing is bathroom is a bit small, no bath tub. Only shower.

View from the balcony…clean beach, phew…

Kids watching the fishy swimming

We got a pretty good deal online, RM190/night. Refurbished hotel, sure very spanking new lah..no musty smell :). So after check in and freshen up, we went to pick up MIL & SIL and drove to Bukit Tambun for seafood.

Bukit Tambun Fishing Village

I got pretty p!ssed off with Mr. Hon as he was giving directions in the car how to get to Bukit Tambun, but he never give warnings, all a sudden turn left, all a sudden U-turn, and we kept going wrong directions thanks to him. MIL knows the direction, but he insist to use the bloody GPS, which sometimes is slow to get signal, so by the time signal recover, it’s overshot…arghh…Also driving in Penang is not easy, the drivers there are 100 times worse than KL ppl.

After braving the storm & rain, we finally reached Bukit Tambun, with my face black like Hokkien Mee. Luckily, Mr. Hon quickly made up for it, if not I think he will be eating Hokkien Mee fried with Horse Shoe Crab at that restaurant courtesy of me.

Monkeying around while waiting for food to be served.

We had tea there, MIL ordered some steam mantis prawns, horse shoe crab and a few more dishes. First time Faythe eating steam mantis prawn, she sapu 3!! Vyktore didn’t eat, he wants rice, but we didn’t order, cause we have dinner at Nyonya Breeze later on.

Thanks Daddy for the shot :).

The restaurant which we were dining at is also next to a fishing village. The kids went up the boat and took some photos there. We also saw monitor lizard on the other side of the river bank.

Seriously, they look like some China people just successfully smuggled down to HK (back to those days)

After the tea break, we drove back to Penang again, this time thanks to the not so great GPS, we reached Northam avoiding traffic jam & drop MIL off. Then went back to our hotel to shower and change.

The night before, was actually Vyktore’s Birthday. I thought since we are going to Penang, might as well celebrate there. Hence I ordered a chocolate cake from Shervone. Thanks Siew Hooi for the contact :).

Shark Image cake

Vyktore wanted a Shark Cake. Hence I downloaded a shark picture and sent it to Shervone to get it done. He was so happy when he saw the cake. He said, “Mommy, I want to cut the shark’s tail and eat it” O.o.

I got Shervone to send the cake and asked reception to keep it, so when we check in I’ve already checked to make sure the cake is there.

One for the family. Everyone was busy trying to do something instead of looking at the camera LOL

So we left for dinner, heading to Nyonya Breeze, to meet up with SIL, MIL & MIL’s friend’s there. We celebrated Vyktore’s birthday there and he had 2 pieces of cake. He’s a cake lover, just like me :).

Nyonya Breeze is our usual stop whenever we go to Penang. Simply love the food there. My fav is the belacan fried with cashew nuts and pork/chicken. It’s so creamy!!! Really to die for.

After that, we all head back to our own hotel and went to the beach.

Mr. Hon brought home many kung ming lantern from Vietnam, so we brought 2 to Penang to let go. I know it’s illegal :P, but for the fun of it…why not. We are not near the airport anyway.

So we all went to the beach, light up the lantern and watch it float away. Daddy didn’t bring his cigars, so we didn’t have any e cigarette session by the beach..phew!!

Then we all head back to our own room to watch World Cup match and went to bed….

DAY 2: 12TH JUN

Someone para-sailing by the beach. Did this many years ago.

Had breakfast at the hotel…boy it’s so crowded!!!

Beautiful butterfly

Then hang around the beach till 1030am, then we went to butterfly farm with Lawrence’s family. MIL & SIL didn’t join us. Had fun in the butterfly farm especially Faythe. She went around trying to make the butterfly stand on her hand. The last time we went there, she was only 2years old, she barely remembers that trip. Vyktore didn’t really like it, he only liked the Scorpions which was in the pit.

Her few successful attempt getting the butterfly

We spent a good 2 hours in the farm and Mr. Hon declared, “This my last ever trip to butterfly farm, no more LOL”. We even bumped into his primary school friend. Talk about coincidence.

Vyktore’s favourite section

We were supposed to drive to Balik Pulau for some Durian & Food Fest (Lawrence saw advertisement banner along the road), so off we went, but half way, I think in Teluk Bahang (after passing the dam), we stopped by roadside where there were plenty of durian stalls and decided to just have our durian fiesta there.

After that all went back hotel to sleep. Evening, we went to grand auntie’s house where the family gathering was held. Everyone busy chit chatting till 10pm when finally all left after taking some family photos.

Faythe wanted to sleep with MIL, so Vyktore followed us back to our hotel.

DAY 3: 13TH JUN

Had breakfast in the hotel and sat by the pool for some couple talk while watching Vyktore eating his cereal.

Check out at 11am and went to grand aunt’s house for another round of chit chatting and makan. Grand aunt made fried oyster with eggs..yum yum…

We finally left Penang by 3pm and took us so long to finally reach home.

Mr. Pilot & lil Pilot LOL. MIL bought this lil pilot uniform for him. So cute hahaha…

We’ve learned that we can’t let both of them sit together cause they either keep on fighting with each other for toys, books, or whatever. So we came up with a brilliant plan.

I drive the car, and either 1 of them sit next to me. While Daddy sits at the back with the other 1. This way, they got less chance to interact and have their love-hate sessions in the car. So all the way back, either they were sleeping, snacking or occasionally playing games on my iphone. Very peaceful indeed :).

I was on leave still on 14th June, so we took the kids to KLCC (by LRT, another LRT ride) and watch Karate Kid there. TGV Cinema must be crazy…the aircond was freezing!!

That’s all for the trip, and some photos taken from the trip.

Like I was telling Agnes, I very envy her photos, cause I didn’t manage to do much in Penang. Makan je banyak LOL.

Faythe in the hotel, eating papadam (brought from KL) while watching Nat. Geo.

Vyktore getting comfy on the bed

Kids, trying to get them pose spells H3LL…

Naughty face

Another naughty face

the boat parked by the restaurant that allowed us to go up and take some photos

Vyktore, wanted his face to be painted with blue cream (like Avatar O.o)

My model posing for me with her killer pose.

Vyktore, so hot @ the beach he didn’t wanna take a walk.

Faythe, in her quest for more seashells

Vyktore with his pitiful look. He kept pestering me for water, in the end went to the bar to get some ice cold water for him.

Sweats..it’s realll hot!!!

Got a butterfly :)

Some don’t know what insect crawling from the sunnies. We nearly had to bring it home as it was hooking itself on his hand.

Lovely butterflies

I guess I’ll be heading for a break soon unless I manage to schedule some post up these few days. Busy 3 months ahead…

May 14

L-R: Vyktore, Jayden & Faythe posing for a photo. Each of them holding a Ironman Figurine.

Yet another travel post…gosh, when am I gonna finish with my travel post O.o. I think there’s like 3 more backdated travel post I’m gonna put.

So we finally made a trip to Bukit Tinggi, 1st time in my life, after seeing so many nice photos, many nice brochures, nice websites and what have you.

Reason is, Mr. Hon wants to take his bike for a ride and the only way he can do this is going for short trips. And while he rides, I will take our 4 wheels together with the kids & the GPS (in case we are lost). As usual, he don’t ride alone, his riding buddy came along. Since Lawrence & Jayden has nothing to do at home (Angie went for training), so they came along as well.

Our breakfast….

But it’s a 1 day trip OK…no staying over night. We left KL around 830am and started heading towards the highway. Stopped over at Petronas by the highway for petrol & had McD for breakfast.

Daddy mentioned that we should go to waterfall on our way back. Vyktore, 1st time hearing waterfall, thinks it’s very syiok, so he said, “Mommy, I wah go waterfall”. OK…I bet he’d scream when he sees waterfall later LOL.

So we continued our journey after our breakfast and soon arrived at Bukit Tinggi.

1st stop, Rabbit Farm. I recall that we arrived before 10am, hence it was still not open. We were the 1st there.

The cranes that looked like statues to Vyktore :P

So while waiting for it to open, we chanced upon some cranes (I think) that was sitting on the grass over at the other side. Vyktore loves bird, he was so amazed at them. Then suddenly one of them started walking. Guess what Vyktore said….”Mommy, the bird can move…” LOL, sure can lah. They must have looked like statues to him earlier haha…funny boy. He even requested for some photos of him and the birds.

Vyktore taking photos with the cranes.

When the Rabbit Farm opens, we went in. Faythe was all excited when she was able to touch the rabbits. But Vyktore was screaming and refused to come along at first. But after convincing him, he finally came and join the fun. After patting the rabbit, he started to get comfortable and they all had great fun *torturing* the rabbit. Jayden at 1 stage was practically pulling the rabbit’s ears and lifting it up LOL. We were warned by the rabbit keeper to keep an eye on the 3 kids haha…memang pai seh.

Examining the donkey. Vyktore was scared of it.

After the rabbit farm, we went to see the donkeys…which looks so much like ponies. Faythe agreed to ride the donkey as that remembers her of Mulan. But Vyktore refused. Hence only Faythe rode the donkey and we took some photos, but towards the end, Vyktore wanted to get a feel of the donkey as well, so he sat at the back of Faythe.

Oh so crowded French Village!!

Done with the rabbit farm, we head to the French Village. Actually I was pretty excited about the French Village as there would be alot opportunity to take photos. But Daddy was in such a hurry, we just scrambled at the French Village like 10minutes, then went down to see the black swans, fed them with cornflakes *oops* and left the place. Yup, that’s how fast we finish that entire place. Arghhh…I hate it when I have to rush around like this…next time I datang myself and cam* kow kow…

Why he’s in a rush leh?

Well, he was in Bentong few days ago and went to eat this Ikan masak Tempoyak. So he wanted to go there to eat again and he was worried that the shop will be closed when we reach there. Grrr…

Japanese Garden mini waterfall. Jayden trying to open his shirt :P.

So after French Village, we headed off to Japanese Garden, to look see look see and enjoy the greens. Boy, I really wonder if there’s really no where else to go in KL…Bukit Tinggi is so crowded!!! And it’s not even a long weekend…WTF!!

After Japanese Garden, we head to Bentong to eat Ikan masak Tempoyak. It’s about an hour drive from Bukit Tinggi..and I really hated that lunch.

Kids KO-ed in the car as they were so tired walking up the hill LOL. So we actually left them in the carĀ  (with the window open and within our view of course) while we had lunch except for Faythe that woke up and got down with us.

Yucks..I really can’t accept Durian in other forms…seriously, it tasted disgusting. No offence to those that love it, but I really beh tahan…not only me, even Lawrence & Yuen didn’t fancy that. So Daddy ate up the whole plate of Tempoyak Fish!! While we went crazy eating the stuffed green chilli with fish paste and don’t know what and some other dishes.

Faythe enjoying her chocolate ice-cream

Then Seng Yuen told us that his hometown was actually Bentong, so he brought us to this shop to eat have some homemade ice cream..yum yum…

Jayden was still sleeping in the car when we arrived at the ice cream stall, so we brought the ice cream for Lawrence to eat while he babysits Jayden.

Vyktore nose-bleeding with Chocolate Ice Cream LOL…

We all each had our share of ice cream and ice kacang with ice cream. Both the kids had Chocolate Flavour, while I had Jagung Flavour. Daddy had Ice Kacang with Ice Cream as topping. Delicious!!

We left Bentong close to 2pm and started to head home, but we stopped on the way at Hutan Lipur Lintang to go to waterfall.

Walking towards the waterfall

I tell you, Vyktore been pestering me since 9am till 3pm that he wants to go waterfall. But when we arrived and he saw what waterfall was, he refused to go join the fun LOL. Yeah, this his 2nd time experiencing waterfall. 1st time was like 2 yrs ago, I doubt he remembered.

Faythe building sand castle next at the waterfall.

Faythe couldn’t wait but just dive in together with Daddy. She’s been taking up swimming lessons for sometime, hence she’s very into swimming now.

Look at his ker lien face LOL

Vyktore refused to go in and even after I tricked him into putting his feet into the sand, he just wanted to sit on the rock and stare at all of us LOL. So I end up sitting next to him most of the time, and occasionally trying to coax him to come with me to another side of the waterfall where it’s very shallow and the current is slow.

Nope, MCA didn’t cheng us dinner, but so happened Daddy park his bike there.

We spent a good 1 hour at least at the waterfall, then we went to Bukit Tinggi Village to have very early dinner, at 530pm!!

On our way home, we were hit by the rain..poor Daddy, all drenched by the time he reached MIL’s house LOL.

Some photos taken for this trip. Plenty of photos ahead :P. Definitely didn’t enjoy the “rush-ness” of this trip.

Daddy turns 4-ZERO
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Daddy | icon4 04 13th, 2010| icon320 Comments »

My man turned 40 on 10th April. He’s been pestering me to check for roast pork price and he intend to celebrate it with style (he always have reasons to celebrate…actually he just enjoy the cutting pig thingy *seriously*).

But little did he know, I actually planned for a surprise party for him *smart wife rite*…AHEM.

I started the planning 3 weeks ago, while I was still in Jakarta. I requested Angie (close friend of ours) to help me check for dinner menu at Peranakan Place Restaurant in 1Utama.

Why this place when there are many other restaurants? Actually, this year is also our 7th year wedding anniversary, which falls on the same day as his birthday (our ROM). And this restaurant is where we 1st met 10 years ago, on our very first date. To make story short, I just arrange everything so coincidentally cause I’m really lack of time to source when I’m so far away LOL.

Once the menu was confirmed, I did a quick check on who are the people to invite. Good thing I have Yvonne’s (Bruno’s GF) MSN, so she could help me arrange the AirAsia side. Then I also sent a couple of private SMSes to his friends & my friends.

When I came back from Jakarta, I quickly went to the restaurant to confirm the no. of pax & paid the deposit.

I also made arrangement to sneak Whiskey to the dinner via Angie & Lawrence before he gets back from Vietnam.

Then I berpakat with MIL so tell him that she won’t be free on Saturday night for dinner. He actually wanted to have dinner with the family, then do the pig cutting thingy on Sunday @ Church.

On Saturday morning, he asked what are the plans for dinner? I pretended don’t know & asked him to ask MIL. He call MIL and asked her, obviously she also conned him into thinking she’s not free. He got pretty upset LOL.

Then he sent SMS to Bruno & Yvonne to ask them out for dinner, where he was turned down again. Bruno & Yvonne in charged on birthday cake.

LOL…very fun. I was actually trying very hard not to tell & pretend nothing is happening.

In the evening, he kept saying he wants to go downtown to eat Argentinian Food.

Seriously, I had a hard time trying to figure out how to trick him to go 1U. Usually he decides where to go for dinner, hence it’s very tough for me to convince him without any suspicion.

While I was bathing & preparing to go out, I suddenly thought of a brilliant plan :).

After shower, he asked again, where shall we have dinner?

I told him, lets go watch Clash of Titans @ 1U. I’ve booked tickets for 9pm, at TGV. Gotta be TGV not GSC cause the Restaurant is nearer to old wing.

He agreed and promptly mentioned that maybe we should have dinner @ TGIF (I hinted to him earlier that we should eat here since they give free mudpie on your birthday).

So we packed the kids & headed to 1U.

When we arrived there (luckily was easy to get parking…must be my day lah :P), I was busy sms-ing Yvonne to ensure the birthday cake arrives on time. The restaurant also called and signalled me that the guest has all arrived. Perfect timing :).

While we were walking to TGV, I told him lets drop by at one of the restaurant, cause I want to pass something to my friend. He believed and followed me.

At the time when we arrived at the Restaurant, suddenly he saw Bruno standing in the Restaurant. Then he saw MIL.

And he went, “What the….You guys are all conman LOL”

He was so surprised that there were 20+ of them there to celebrate his 40th Birthday.

So the night went on with good food & good company.

Of course he thanked me for giving him a great party (though small scale lah). Now he knows what I’m capable of..conning LOL.

Next day, Lawrence & he ordered a roast pork to treat everyone in Church. Lawrence’s birthday is next weekend.

So everyone enjoyed the roast pork in church.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Though he’s 40, I don’t see he has any wrinkles on his face at all O.o. Definitely do not need any wrinkle cream for now. If this the way he’s gonna age, I’m sure I’ll look older when I turn 40.

CNY 2010
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Daddy, Events, Faythe, Jazzmint, Vyktore | icon4 02 26th, 2010| icon39 Comments »

The fact that my 1st day of CNY was dampened with cold & fever, it somehow or rather affected my mood over the Chinese New Year. I had actually took leave for the whole week except on 4th day of CNY I was working due to standby.

On 5th & 6th day of CNY, we wanted to getaway from the kids at Bukit Tinggi, but I was too lazy and just recovered from sickness, I rather give it a skip.

Note: if the photos are too bright or too dark, it’s cause I’ve not calibrated my screen…gotta get it done soon!!

On eve of CNY

Faythe inserting notes into the angpau.

Kids help me to pack angpau packets. We did a lot of packing cause we are visiting old folks home this year. Faythe as usual is ever so eager…girls are girls :). As for Vyktore, he did help too, but he didn’t have the patient.

Vyktore inserting a stash of RM1 into angpau which I’m holding. I always prefer use RM1 instead of RM5 or RM10, cause it’s bulky hahaha…

On 2nd Day of CNY

Early morning went to old folks home to distribute AngPau. It’s a tradition from FIL’s day and Daddy wants to continue this. This is also the old folks home that we went during our wedding day.

Then we went to catch movies: Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thieft (double thumbs up!!)

I had friends over at my house, ex-BB gathering. It’s great to catch up with friends who came back from all over the place (London, HK & Singapore). And we went gaga over lil Tsun Chuen who is already turning 2 months+.

And nope, my friends never forget my birthday, WJ even bought me a birthday cake :). How sweet…thanks dear. No photo of me and the cake as the photo was taken by Audrey. Need to get it from her :).

We spent alot of time chatting, catching up, gossiping (about office and love life of course :P). Then Eelaine & WJ left, so Audrey, Hui Shi & our family went to have dinner behind my house before proceeding to some drinking game at my house where my maid tried to poison all of us O.o.

On 3rd Day of CNY

Never do anything, just continue lazing around the house. We did manage to clean up the room upstairs which is now vacant since Lawrence & family has moved out to their own home. Packed a few bags of old books, notes and what nots. And we went for movies while the maid clean up the room.

Received a love sms from my MIL: I give you lots of hugs & kisses…xoxoxoxo…(as my birthday present O.o)

On 4th Day of CNY

Work Work Work….I’m on duty on 4th Day. It’s great to work during CNY actually, cause you can clear alot of backlog work and there’s no disturbance.

We also manage to catch movies: Little Big Brother. OK lah…I prefer Jacky Chan’s other movies.

On 5th Day of CNY

Went to GEL to sort out insurance payment for Daddy cause he cancelled his auto payment earlier.

Then we went to EPF Office to name our Pewaris as well as activate the online access.

After that, I went to splurge RM2700 to buy myself a birthday gift comprising of: A new desktop, 20″ LCD screen &Ā  a bamboo fun. I definitely couldn’t see myself getting netbooks since my usage is pretty high.

On 6th Day of CNY

More spring cleaning & laze around the house.

On 7th Day of CNY

Vyktore been reminding us to take him for train ride ever since we started passing the LRT Station on our way to school in the morning. So we went for LRT ride. We took a ride to Pavilion hence we changed train at KL Sentral and it’s a big mistake. Cause from KL Sentral we had to walk to far to the other train!!! Should have just head straight to KLCC.

Here are photos taken on that day.

Want to join me for a ride?

Another shot of them with the ticket.

Father & son time. Vyktore is very scared of Mr. Hon so it’s not very often he will wanna get close to Daddy, but since he’s taking a train ride, he’s OK with Daddy.

The train parked far from the station.

Boarding the train. Thought Saturday nobody, but turned up quite packed too.

In the train. Vyktore is all excited.

Faythe looking out.

Vyktore looking out. He brought along Bumblebee for the train ride.

Pavilion. My first time setting foot here. This used to be my alma mater…sigh…I simply can’t imagine my school was that huge!! The moment I step into there, I kept wandering, which part of my school is this.

Fake cherry blossom trees outside Pavilion. Hate the scorching sun…super hawt & overcast!!

My latest punk hairstyle :)…Gosh, I look so fat!!

Outside the fountain. I suppose this is near our school Saga Tree & parking lots.

Entrance into Pavilion (ex office block), filled with lanterns.

Inside Pavilion. I must admit that they are so clever to put up the trees like growing from the sides of Pavilion. Nice!!

Another shot of the trees & lantern.

Faythe with her kungfu post with the Crane.

Vyktore trying to check out if the Crane is real :P.

Pretending to eat lotus seed LOL. We have lots of these at home, bought it from Vietnam. Simply delicious & healthy snacks!!

Vyktore at one of the stall checking out the CNY decorations.

Faythe trying to put the deco on her head as headgear.

Checking out some stones. Vyktore has obsession over stones O.o.

Tang Lung decoration from the inside.

A random shot from the top. I think this a coffee bar or somesort.

On 8th Day of CNY

It’s my Chinese Birthday. And of course it’s also the Pai Tin Kong day. We had fireworks all night which we watch from our bedroom window. I only manage to sleep at 2am :(.

On 9th Day of CNY

It’s back to work officially. Had visitors from Beijing & we had dinner at 1World Hotel. Didn’t take any photos cause very *pai seh*. Eating with big shots, takkan wanna take out camera take pic of food right :P.

And after that it’s work all the way……

On 13th Day of CNY

Morning went for a newborn photoshoot.

Evening went Lala Chong with Jayden’s family & my brother. Good thing we were there early. It started raining cats n dogs the moment we arrived. Bump into Wai Leng there too.

Will upload the photos later after I download.

And the coming 2 days…it’s the end of CNY…will get the kids open up their angpau and bank into the bank.

Not a very eventful CNY, but I’m sure this year would be a better year for all of us :).

Nov 3

..have time to blog about something before I depart for my trip last week. But I’m totally wrong! I was so so so busy preparing for the trip, co-ordinating for training that is happening to KL, and many other things that at 1 point I asked myself. What’s going on MAN. Why is there so many things happening at the same time?

Seriously, I’m pretty much exhausted at times that I can’t even think straight. Workload is up to the neck (or maybe up to the head). Each time I take off or travel for work, the email just get more n more. Each day I’m getting like at least 50 mails, which 1/2 of them needs my attention.

Where did I go last week? I was at Jakarta & Bandung to pay a visit to my service partners. It’s really an eye opener. If you think KL is jam, wait till you see Jakarta. You’d probably die sitting in endless traffic jam there LOL. The jam starts right from the morning till late night. Even during weekends, there are cars everywhere.Ā  Don’t forget the high security at all places all time, thanks to all the bomb threats. I shall post some of my photos from Jakarta/Bandung soon, lets hope it’s not gonna take long.

So where did we left last? My Phuket trip still…..Gosh….I have so much to catch up, including our last weekend Halloween Trick or Treat Celebration. Yikes, photos still in the camera!! I think even my camera is feeling the stress cause he’s working day in day out like me LOL.

OK, I’m pretty exhausted with words for now. I’ve been awake since 530am to catch up with some office work. I’m pretty done with it, thought it’s best to post this up before it becomes too *OLD* to be posted.

Here are more photos of the buildings & architecture of Phuket. If you look carefully, it reminds you alot of Penang & Malacca. I didn’t arrange them in sequence (too lazy).

love the contrasting door against the pink background.

an old shop selling clothes or was it a tailor

a temple we visited

another temple we visited. There are plenty of Chinese Temples in Phuket. That’s why it feels so like in Penang.

Signboard in the temple.

I took this photo cause of the contrasting banner against the white washed wooden house.

Something that we can never miss when we travel in ASIAN countries…Hawkers on bike selling food/drinks.

I can’t recall if this a restaurant or boutique, but I like how the windows. Look, both sides are different LOL.

Another view of Classic Barn.

A shop selling 2nd hand books.

Anyone wants to buy a Honda Civic here :P. Nah…they only sell bikes over here. I didn’t spot any car.

Love the outstanding lime green shop against the rest of the old shops.

Soi Romanee. I lurve all the arches, the door….simply everything lah..

Soi Romanee…colourful right!! I must go back here again to take some photos in my next trip cause I didn’t have enough of it arghh…

Grille….very old style.

Lock.

AND more locks…

more aged buildings

different designs of buildings

and more…

and more…not forgetting the lady selling feather duster :P

Contrasting effect of the buildings. The pic on my left is one of my favourite cause so happen the monk is there and it sort of matches the colour of that shop.

On the left, a restaurant. That picture is so so so old, probably taken like 60s?

Another temple we frequent during our visit.

more buildings in Phuket

Clock tower in Phuket town.

Need I say anymore…

Ahh…I’m so so so in love with the architecture of each building. I couldn’t get enough of it man. In the end I have to give up, cause Daddy says it’s all the same.

Daddy decided to leave me behind cause I’m too slow LOL.

A few more buildings to go.

A shop used to sell Panasonic products I supposed?

Soi Romanee. Nice ya this street!!

I think the one on left is Soi Romanee. The one on right isn’t.

Whoa….finally it’s the last photo. If you spend a lot of time admiring the architecture in Phuket, you probably can’t finish the town in 1 day. We took like 1/2 a day to comb the whole town.

Guess what, we are going back to Phuket this month. This round with the kids. Lets hope I won’t be taking more photos of the buildings.

Oct 12

My flight no. Good thing the flight weren’t full. Thanon Yaowarat, that’s where we had lunch the next day

Yup, we went to Phuket for a short holiday (just Mr. Hon & myself). Yeah…that banner up there is taken in Phuket, not Australia or Japan :P. Well actually, we were supposed to be at Taiwan for 9 days holiday. But I regret big time after getting the tickets cause then I realise I can’t be away for so many days (and the tickets were so so cheap *sob sob*). So we cancel our Taiwan trip and head to Phuket instead. Lets hope I can go Taiwan next year.

KL view, taken from the flight

Mr. Hon book our tickets to Phuket, via AirAsia. And 1st time do booking, already make a big mistake. He actually booked the 2 tickets separately, thinking that he can cheat the system to get the cheap ticket, but he didn’t know he actually booked both tickets at the wrong timing *EMO*. So he went there noon time, but my flight was night time…DUHH!!

So there I was, alone taking the flight to Phuket..boring!! Daddy rented a car for 900THB/day. In Phuket, you either stay in Patong and forget bout the transport OR get a bike/car to go around. Since both bike & car cost the same, he opt for the car. Moreoever it’s raining season in Phuket, so better to be safe get a car. He came to the airport to pick me up.

We didn’t have any GPS, but he already round almost the whole island while waiting for me to arrive, so he more or less knows the road with the help of the map.

Our hotel from the outside.

We stayed in Kata Beach Resort. Less noisy, less crazy. We got a good deal from Late Stay website, 1 night for 2550THB incl. breakfast. Normal rates @ 6000THB. Hotel, it’s OK, nothing grand. But apparently it’s the only Resort at Kata which is facing the beach. Even Club Med which is next to our hotel doesn’t have their own beach. I’d say the sea over at Kata is more calm compared to Patong. It’s also cleaner.

It was already 9pm by the time I check into the hotel. We drove to Patong to have a taste of their *Night Life*. Seriously, it’s nothing much. Endless ah kua dancing around. So many people drinking. That’s about it lah. I didn’t bring my camera, no photos of Patong at night :P.

We went back to rest by 12am. Must admit we are getting old. All this clubbing really out for us LOL.

Next day, we left the hotel after breakfast. Head straight to Phuket Old Town. Though Thailand has never been conquered by any foreign countries, this Phuket town is rich with Western Influence. At one glance, you feel yourself back in Penang/Melaka. This little town resembles that of British Straits Settlements i.e. Penang, Melaka & Singapore. They call this Sino-Portuguese. I’ll post more about their architecture in a separate post. There’s just too many photos to fit into 1 post :|.

And being a person that admires historical buildings, I just can’t help myself taking photos of almost every other shop house LOL. Until Daddy had to tell me to stop and go, cause to him they are all the same. But in fact it’s not.

Daddy patiently waiting for his food. The man wrapping popiah

We parked at the roadside and had lunch at one of the streets (Thanon Yaowarat) in Phuket Town. Simple lunch comprising of: Popiah, Pork Satay & Hokkien Me (Phuket Style). Simply delicious.

Delicious popiah served with sauce

After our lunch, we started our walk around the town with our Manual-GPS (Daddy reads the map) :). I do all the photo snapping haha…..

Our 1st stop, Thai Hua Museum. It’s a pity the Museum was closed for refurbishment. We only manage to look around the ground floor. Our guess is that this used to be a Chinese House or something. It has a Classroom, and some other rooms with exhibits.

The classroom. Mr. Hon pretending to be a teacher LOL

That’s how the classroom looks like. 2nd pic, a clock tower at the roundabout. I’ll talk about this later.

But it never stop us to have some camwh*ring session outside the Museum haha…

that’s me. Gosh..I look so fat :|

that’s Mr. Hon, pretending he’s to be a scholar LOL

A beautiful old-aged Chandelier in the Musuem. 2nd pic, a lil cupid on the roof (one of the buildings)

We continue walking along the road. Actually we just simply walk and lookaround and take photos. We don’t really have a aim where to go. It was hot, but good thing it’s windy.

can’t remember where was this, one of the buildings we went

at one of the temple, we saw this on the left & right of the Chinese Temple.

There are a lot of Chinese Temples in town. We visited quite a few. In fact they are very well maintained compared to those in Malaysia.

Continue walking somemore. Came to On On Hotel. A backpackers inn. Pretty rundown, I for sure won’t stay here LOL.

Then we came to Soi Rommanee. The Love Road. *Phe-wwiittt*. I like this street alot. I’ll post more photos on this road in the next post. For now, only 1 photo, of me at Soi Rommanee LOL. I

love this street very much because each of the shop is preserved very well and painted in vibrant colours. Absolutely great spot for photoshoot. If I ever want to take portrait photos for my family, I’d sure want to take it here :).

I didn’t manage to take alot of photos here cause Mr. Hon was hurrying me and he refuse to go in…..arghh…

Our desert

Since it was so hot, we stop over at a shop to eat jelly ais. It’s like ais kacang, minus the: kacang, jagung, cincau, cendol, gula melaka. Basically it’s just jelly, ice & red beans with syrup.

The uniqueness of Phuket Town, some of their walkways are tiled :). Here’s 1 of it. Very matching with my Ipanema sandals LOL.

After our desert we walk somemore. By then we are almost done visiting every nook and corner of the town. Our next destination, eat famous Hokkien Mee.

We took a drive there. Sorry, I don’t know what’s the place call, but it has this roundabout with a big clock tower. (See pic somewhere above)

Another round of food. This time consisting of Steam Otak Otak. Not as good as KL Otak Otak, but not too bad.

10 sticks of pork satay, served with cucumber & onions. I love their satay. They are thinly sliced pork on the skewer. Very yummy. It’s sure cook because it’s thin. Unlike those here, so chunky and often not cooked :(.

And here’s our main meal. Phuket Hokkien Mee. It comes with half cooked egg like the above. Oysters too!! It’s has some gravy as well. Like our stew noodles. But much tastier :). The gist of this is, you have to add some fried pork skin (I know very unhealthy) on it and stir all of them. You can actually hear the skin popping in the mee.

Pop a spoonful of the noodles with the pork skin into the mouth…..simply satisfying.

that’s the Hokkien Mee Signage. 3 young guys walking at the beach. I don’t remember their face, I only liked their footprints they left behind :P

After the noodles session it was alraedy 4pm. We went back hotel and took a nap. We are definitely pigs LOL. Makan Tidur Saja.

Waiting to be hired. You need to pay 20B to rent the deck chair and 1 canopy.

Late evening we went to the Kata beach, just behind our resort to cuci mata :P. It’s too late to cuci mata actually, cause nobody was sunbathing haha…

The sun sets pretty early, by 630pm, it’s beginning to get dark. Here’s a black & white shot during sunset. Just trying out some new effects.

The beach is usually filled with surfers during peak season. Sept is non peak and considered dangerous to surf/swim. They put red flag along the beach. And their lifeguard will summon you in if they spot you swimming at the red flag zone.

Sunset a Kata. Love the colours.

2nd pic, Phuket Government probably trying out alternative for electricity for the island. Photo taken at the view point. We went here the next day.

We went back and took a quick shower. Then we decided that we should have our dinner @ Kata Beach. So we walk around, check out the price and finally decided to go for Lobsters. 2 baby lobsters @ 680THB. Cheap!!

Here’s our dinner. Lobster cooked in local style. Baked Potato Skin.

Lobster baked with Cheese.

Fried vegetables. They only have mix veg. Everyone only cooks this in Phuket when you order Veg. Aiyo…

Thai Curry. Very spicy!!

After dinner, Daddy rushed back to hotel for toilet break. So I walked around looking at the things sold at the shop at Kata Beach. Then I went back to Hotel and we went to bed early. Daddy claimed that he over eat. Whole night be couldn’t sleep, while I slept like a log LOL.

Next day, we didn’t have much things to do. So we thought we’d leave the hotel late, close to 11am. We sat at the deck chairs by the beach and spent the morning there. Then we left the hotel and went to the View Point. It’s not very far from our hotel. Good thing that we are driving. I doubt I’d be able to read the map if we were riding a bike.

From the view point, you getaĀ  spectacular view of Phuket (Part of it). Furthest being Patong, then Karon, then Kata Beach.

I asked Daddy to take a artistic shot of me admiring the scenery. And this is what he gave me. Pass or not?

Our Legend of Condor Hero

When we were about to leave the viewpoint, we spotted this local with 2 eagles. Pay 100B and take photo with the eagle. Being Mr. Hon, of course he snap this opportunity LOL. Now he can proudly show Faythe, cause Faythe been showing him picture of her with the parrots standing on her head haha…

After that we took a drive, to don’t know where, just bumming around. We came to Rawai Beach. A much more tranquil and calm beach. This looks more like Malaysia.

Ikan bakar Thai Style. Goes very well with kicap.

We had our lunch at one of the shop by the beach side. Delicious food we even went back there for dinner on that night!!

This the fish after it’s been deboned.

Tomyam Chicken

Don’t know what crab is this. But it’s nice. They just steam it. Lots of meat and shell is soft.

Horse shoe crab. Daddy’s favourite. This crab is full of roe. They made salad with it. I find this kinda weird, cause the roe are hard. Not soft like the roe we eat with sushi :P.

2nd pic: Tomyam we had at night, with lobster meat.

Daddy took his own sweet time enjoying his horse shoe crab salad. I took a stroll along the beach and took more photos. I personally prefer Rawai Beach. Even more quiet. More relaxing.

A bar for sale. Any takers?

I wanted to walk out to there, but after a while, I decided it’s too far. Hence I just took a pic of it from far.

People enjoying their food by the beach side.

Looks like Malaysia beaches right LOL.

Closer shot of the fishing boats.

Then we scan thru our map, and spotted the Shell Museum. We drove around, high and low, nearly give up and some what lost, and finally bumped into it haha…

A shell fossil shaped of a unicorn

Why must come here. Well, I promised Faythe I’d collect some shells back for her. She’s crazy over shells thanks to Little Mermaid. I didn’t spot any by the beach the day before. So I thought it’d be good if we can go here and purchase some shells for her.

One thing we like about this Museum, it allows us to take photos haha…Here are some of the photos taken of the shells.

All the shells are kept on display on transparent holder. And a glass frame goes all around . Very well designed for photography purpose :).

Odd looking shell.

Shells framed in circles. Very creative. I took this short from the botton to get the view of the shell in circular mode.

Giant shell

Don’t know what species. We were too lazy to read thru, just look, *WAHHH*, then next, then repeat the whole process all over LOL.

Shells with polka dots pattern.

Shell that looks like a purse. Arrangement of all sorts of shells.

Don’t know what shell.

This I remember. They are from the land. Usually found in Forest. Cool eh.

this one if not mistaken is forned from many many shells stuck at some rock.

this looks quite common

I like this, pretty cool eh.

looks like snake skin LOL

Striking orange one!!

A giant shell. I think Faythe can even sleep in it!!

There’s really like 1001 types of shell. All sorts of shapes. The more I see, the more dizzy I get. By the time we are done, I have shells all over my head.

We bought a packet of shells with all sorts of colours for Faythe and left the place. Went back hotel, took a rest and head towards the beach.

Our mission, to dive with the wave O.o. After a few rounds and drinking some salt water, I give up. I sat by the beach while Daddy enjoyed himself with the wave.

After that we went to have dinner at the same place we had lunch. Again we order lobster. This time sashimi style.

We also ordered grill chicken & steam snail. Each of these dishes comes with different sauce for dipping. Of course sashimi goes with Wasabi & Soy Sauce :).

After dinner, apa lagi, went back hotel and pack. SInce next day we are leaving. Though it’s at night, better start packing.

Next day, we lepak around the hotel till check out. Dump all our stuff into the car and drove to Patong Beach. Went to Junk Ceylon Shopping Mall. It’s a Mall that looks like the Curve.

It rained heavily all of a sudden. So while waiting for the rain to stop, we went for Fish Spa. Extremely cheap!! We paid 100THB for 15 minutes!!

Phuket Tuk Tuks.

Their walkway with tiles.

Then we walk around Bangla Road. Nothing much to buy. All ready to slash us with a high price. We had lunch in the car. Mr. Hon suffered from over-eating for 2 days haha..so he said last day must eat salad. We went to Carre Four in Junk Ceylon, packed some salad from the salad bar.

After that we spin off to the Factory Outlet. This is a brand new factory outlet along the way to Airport. He spotted this the other day while waiting for me. So we decided that we should go here and shop till we drop before we board the plane.

Well, I didn’t shop till I drop. But my jaw almost fell off, that’s for sure!! They were having sale. So cheap O.o.

  1. Original Crocs - going as low as 600THB (RM60 our currency!!)
  2. Original Levi’s - going as low as 890THB (RM89 our currency…OMG….*fainted*)
  3. Ripcurl, Lois Jeans, and a whole lot more…..can’t remember so many
  4. Original Nike
  5. Original Adidas

I didn’t go into Nike & Adidas, but Daddy did and bought a pair of shoes.

There were some other brands too. I bought 2 tops. There were also Warner’s Brother Studio Boutique there. We bought Transformers T-shirt for Vyktore (50% off).

After all the shopping, I packed the luggage nicely and we went to the airport.

We arrived in KL at 12am. And next day gotta go back to work…..tiring…..

That’s all for Phuket. Don’t mind going back there again with the kids.

Aug 19

I took leave on 3rd Aug as we were supposed to be in Penang, but due to detour from Penang to PD, we had 3rd August free. I decded not to cancel my leave since I still have tonnes to clear.

So we thought it’s time to bring them to Aquaria KLCC. We wanted to take the LRT at first, but due to H1N1 spreading rampantly, we’ve decided to drive instead. One whole car load as usual. My SIL & nephew followed us too.

Frankly speaking, I’m not really pleased with Aquaria KLCC, not only it’s expensive, but the varieties of sea creatures there are pretty limited. Personally I prefer Underwater World in Langkawi.

For the kids, they were more than thrilled to see all the sea creatures come to life so near to them.

Vyktore didn’t like the place at first and wanted to go “kai kai” and kept pulling my hands away. But when the Shark Feeding started, he just sat there, mesmerised by his favourite animal, shark O.o.

There were baby sharks, some lobsters & starfishes on exhibition where they allow you to interact with them closely. Daddy went to touch the baby shark. I touched the star fish (so hard like rock!!)

Here are more photos. I didn’t take many photos as it was pretty dark and flash is prohibited. So most of the photos were blurry.

Vyktore’s greatest fear, Mr. Spider!!

Some kind of fish

Diver getting ready to feed the Shark. Pardon me with that lil handphone at the corner, my nephew was busy taking photos with my SIL’s HP LOL.

That’s one of the sharky we spotted.

Here it comes. It feeds on frozen fish. I wonder how much they feed this fella each day to make sure he don’t attack rest of the fishes in the same tank.

Shark embrio in a tank….

Vyktore’s favourite fish, Nemo (clown fish)

A stingray that looks like smiling to you from the bottom.

We were all done within 1hour+ and then we went home since Daddy weren’t feeling well.

That’s the end of our Aquaria excursion :P.

Aug 17

I’ve been pressed left n right when I’m ever gonna post the photos up. This is what happens when you are a photographer and everyone expects you to post the photos up fast!!

(I love this pic of 3 of them together, giving that same facial expression LOL)

This post is specially for Daddy (he’s the one chasing me everyday when he can see the photos O.o).

We went to PD earlier this month. Yes!! AGAIN!!! We were supposed to go Penang, but at the very last minute, there were change of plans and Daddy feels that PD would be better, because there’s a bike expo in PD that weekend.

Since it was soo soo last minute, we didn’t even manage to book an apartment from our timeshare. So we did a day trip instead.

Daddy rode his bike down to PD with his biker friend, while the rest of us drove down (I’m the driver as usual).

The event was held at Eagle Ranch, a place I’ve been few years back when my office had team building.

Here are more photos of all sorts of bikes that were present at the expo. I got bored after a while cause I had to look after the kids and take photos at the same time, in the end I pass the camera to Daddy and let him take the photos.

Waiting at Eagle Ranch Reception

Daddy with a chrome plated bike

I love detail shots of the bikes, but Daddy prefers the full body cause he says that’s better

Look at the mini scooter!! So so cute!!! I didn’t allow the kids to go near though as next to it they placed a speaker and they were jamming out such loud music!!

A weird looking bike LOL

Vyktore posing with a mini racing bike

More bikes….I love the turquoise colour :)

More details of the turquoise colour bike. I love the detailed RIMS!!

Yuen, Daddy’s biker kaki

Another bikers gang just arrived at the location. We were leaving at that time as the weather looks like it’s gonna pour so heavily.

Mafia bike O.o.

Some old bikes line up in a row

After we left the expo, we went to have seafood and it was raining cats n dogs. We waited for a while till the rain stopped, then we went to the beach for some beach fun. This round Vyktore refuse to get wet and he was protesting in this picture when Daddy dragged him into the sea LOL.

He rather play with his Optimus Prime Robot

My 2 sour face kids posing for photos :P

Faythe & Lin caught a baby spider and they were playing with it.

Vyktore was more interested in checking out Daddy’s bike. He must be thinking this will be his when he turns 16 next time :P.

Daddy was trying to do some baywatch-rolling-on-the-beach shot and here’s one of it :P. Sexy boh hahaha….

Vyktore found a preggy cat and he was happily feeding the cat with grapes O.o.

Lawrence & baby Jayden, Jayden’s 1st time going to beach and he loves it. But took him 2 hours to warm up.

Faythe, after enjoying herself at the beach for a few hours, she finally settle down in the car and play with Vyktore’s toys.

Vyktore was busy following the cat whenever it was heading to LOL.

Angie with baby Jayden.

Daddy & his bike.
Vyktore requested for a photo with the cat.

We had early dinner at PD and then headed back home. It was raining on our way back :(.

Lets hope we are not going to PD again in 2 months time.

Jun 23

More rewind story hehe…

So the 1st weekend of the school holiday, so happen Daddy is also back. We made bookings at the apartment at Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson. Making use of the timeshare points which has been paid for.

This is the 2nd time we are heading to PD. We went to PD last year, but stayed elsewhere. This time round, it’s purely the 4 of us plus the maid (we brought the maid cause there’s alot of work to do, like fanning the charcoal, etc :P). If not for all those work, I think I would have dump her at home.

We arrived close to 12pm as we took off late and there were massive jam at the highway thanks to some accident at the opposite lane (typical Malaysia). We went straight to check in to the apartment. The outside looks pretty rundown, but inside was still OK.

Then we went to the private beach behind the apartment and had a look. Recce for the place where we gonna setup the barbeque pit. Yes, we brought along our BBQ pit all the way from KL LOL. We even brought ice box, marinated meat & fish, cold drinks, etc. Daddy prepare all these since he was so free. I’m only in-charged of driving :).

Daddy decided that we should visit the lighthouse. So off we went hunting for the lighthouse only to find that it’s closed. DUH!! The hike up the lighthouse is pretty killing. I’m glad that the kids made it after some ranting along the way.

We then stop by a restaurant for late lunch comprising of yummy seafood. We ordered like 6 dishes, only cost us RM96 or less. Simply worth it!!

Around 5pm, we drove to the beach behind the apartment. Daddy & the maid were busy setting up the BBQ pit and starting the fire. Faythe already all geared up with her beach toys and started playing sand. Vyktore was a bit skeptical (as usual, he takes some time to warm up), but after a while, he got used to it.

By 730pm, the whole place was dark & deserted. Only our car was there and we were still trying to finish BBQ-ing the meat and bring back to the apartment to eat haha..(cause alot mossies).

The kids knock off pretty early cause they were way too tired.

The next day, we went to hav breakfast near town centre and stop by the Blue Lagoon Beach. The sand is pretty clean, but there were plenty of people. So we decided to go back to the apartment.

At the apartment, there’s actually a water slide for the kids. Both of them thought it’s very fun, they went for the slide. But after the 1st round of thrilling, they were shocked hahaha…and refuse to go for 2nd round :P. Though I was there to catch them at the end of the slide, they are certainly not ready for such adventure.

We check out at 11am and headed home. A short holiday which all of us enjoyed.

And here are the remaining of the photos.

Daddy sitting on the tree branch with Faythe. Vyktore was too afraid to join in.

Faythe, coming down from the Lighthouse.

Vyktore coming down from the Lighthouse.

Daddy with his pipe, waiting for our lunch to be served.

I love these 2 shots of Faythe. 1 showing her tongue (not very co-operative). The other one posing with the big leaf as an umbrella.

Vyktore slowly venturing himself at the beach. He’s not very comfy with the sandy feel.

Faythe’s lil palm holding her bucket. She uses this to collect broken shells…

Getting ready for some sand castle?

Vyktore and his pail. He’s practically just holding the pail and some cups, that’s bout it. Not totally enjoying the sand as much as Faythe.

Examining his pail. Maybe to see if there’s any crack?

Hubby’s comfy slippers which he bought from China.

My sore feet…It was low tide, hence we could walk out pretty far and yet it’s pretty shallow and can see thru to the bottom.

Faythe enjoying herself dipping by the beach during low tide.

Daddy and his kungfu position. This is the FAT-GRASSHOPPER Style.

Another kungfu position. Crane perhaps?

Vyktore running about by the beach and enjoying being splashed at.

See, he loves it now, he even attempt to sleep on the beach!!

After the beach session, quenching his thirst with 100 plus. Do you think this photo I can submit for Tesco Choice Advertisement :P.

One of my favourite shot of both my children after the beach fun. One concentrating and eating her snacks, while the other one concentrating in finishing his drink.

Faythe, trying to ask Vyktore to give her some drinks.

They were changed and clean up. So they sat in the car to enjoy their snacks. Lucky fellas.

A very rare sunset shot. Why rare? Cause I’m not a silhouette person haha..But I just like this one, where the trees came from the side and the sun in the middle.

Another rare silhouette shot before the sun sets.

Before we put off the fire, Daddy suggested some flare shots with the BBQ Pit and here are 2 photos.

Faythe writing on the sand @ Blue Lagoon.

She’s trying to bury Daddy’s feet.

Daddy & Son, waiting for Faythe to come down with the swimming apparels at the apartment.

The boys having ME time together. I always love Vyktore’s big eyes. I admire his stare alot…

That’s all for the PD Trip.

Apr 10

We are celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary this year. Few nights ago while we were lying down next to each other, this was what took place.

Mommy: so what do you want for your birthday (which so happens coincide with our wedding anniversary)
Daddy: Hmm…keep thinking…
Mommy: 6 years already you know…
Daddy: Wah, sure or not, so fast meh?
Mommy: Yalah..we got married in 2003 mah, so it’s 6 now lor
Daddy: No not yet…today is only 7th Apr…
Mommy:
Lerr..few more days only mah..so we are now 5 years and 362 days lorr…so what you want as present lah?
Daddy: Continue keeping quiet and thinking (he must be thinking how to make my pocket look thinner)

Few minutes later, he already doze off…*apalah*

Anyway, I’ve planned for a Japanese Buffet Lunch to celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary & also his birthday which I bet he doesn’t want to be reminded off (cause of the number :P). Of course, we will not forget his birthday cake of which we will present to him this Sunday, in conjunction with my nephew’s birthday. He gets a Thomas Train Cake LOL.
