I’m definitely not done with my travel photos :P. If you are bored with travel photos, you may skip this post :).

As mentioned earlier, I spent 2 weeks in Jakarta. Longest time spent overseas since I started work in my current company. Not forgetting, longest time ever I’m separated with my 2 kids. The last time it was only 9 days, when we went to Melbourne.

I guess my stay was way too long till Faythe asked, “Mommy, how long more I have to stay with Grandma O.o”.

I tried not to lock myself up in the hotel room during the weekends cause I’m already working OT every night during weekdays.

On the 1st Saturday weekend, I decided to make a trip to Jakarta National Museum. It was not far from Hotel, just take a cab there. Very easily accessible.

As I mentioned before, I’m pretty much of a history freak. Hence a visit to Museum would anytime be better than a visit to Shopping Mall :P.

When I first enter the Museum, I was greeted with plenty of stone statues collection from all walks of life & places in Indonesia. All of them are marked with date, some as old as BC dates. Amazing!! Makes me wonder how come we don’t have such thing in Malaysia’ Museum :P.

Most of these are brought from outside of Jakarta I believe.

After this section, then you are brought to another section where it tells you about the history of human kind. Another thing which I don’t recall that’s available in our National Museum. There were also alot of historical goodies on display. Seriously, this place is filled with artifacts!!

Gamelan & Wayang Kulit

Then, they have this huge room, where they display all the 80+ ethnics in Indonesia and all the details of it. Very interesting, but I was too lazy to read thru every single thing. Just scanning thru the artifacts to me is good enough :P.

This I remember very clearly is from Bali. I took this photo cause I want to show my children this the Indonesia Version of Lion Dance. The eyes looks pretty scary.

Then this part of the Museum is connected to another new building where they display newer items which is of our generation. I decided to skip this since it’s not really history to me :P.

So I went outside and took some photos of the National Museum. The building was probably built during the Dutch Era. Still very well maintained.

Then I walk across the road to Monas (Tallest Monument in Jakarta)….While walking across the pedestrian bridge, I some photos too, as this place is actually facing a huge roundabout.

On weekends, it’s a bit more quiet at this part of the world. But on weekdays, the traffic is horrendous.

I admire their buildings because the designs are very different from those in KL. I’d say they are more creative :).

After I cross the bridge, then I realised that Monas entrance was not that side, but another part, I got a bit lazy and decided to skip Monas.

I took a cab to Jalan Sibu, to buy some souvenirs for MIL. This place is like our Central Market. They sell all sort of local stuff.

There were also student artist sitting by the roadside drawing.

It started drizzling shortly after that, so I took a cab back to the Shopping Mall next to my hotel. The Loft. There’s nothing much at this mall, but there are plenty of food here. I spend most of my meals trying out each and every restaurant, except those which are not Indonesia Authentic, e.g. Singapore Chicken Rice ^.^.

I went to this Restaurant for many many times…cause the food they serve is simple & quick haha…I usually take a quick bite & head back to hotel, hence I try to avoid places which are too crowded. They serve local Indonesia cuisine.

This is a plate of Nasi Liwet. Don’t really like this cause it’s a bit too dry. If it comes with some kuah, will be perfect.

A glass of drink I ordered. The green ones are jelly strips, while the ones that looks like frog eggs are selasih. Nice cooling drink.

Everyday after meal, I’d take a short walk back to hotel. It’s very convenient. Definitely better than Shangri-La.

This is a Service Apartment that is next to the hotel.

Looks more like an office than an apartment right :P.

At the Loft, there’s also a factory outlet which I discovered eventually. I went there a few rounds to do some shopping. Bought plenty of clothes for my children particularly (it’s about RM20/piece - top & bottom). Luckily I didn’t bring extra bag, so I had to buy with cautious LOL. If not I think the damage would have even been more.

The selection of clothings there are much more better than our FOS/Brands Outlet. Cheaper too!! Good thing I didn’t have any baby, if not I probably gone broke buying baby clothes.

That’s all about Jakarta for now.

If you ask me if I like travelling for work, definitely it’s not something I can choose over. If I don’t have family et al. that’s absolutely OK.

But one of the things I enjoy travelling for work is I actually managed to catch up with alot of movies/series that I’ve not watched in recent years. Since I continue working every night in my hotel room, I usually switch on the TV while checking my emails, etc.

I listed down the movies that I watched during my 2 weeks tenure in Jakarta:

  1. Changeling - Must watch. So touching that I cried.
  2. Hellboy II
  3. 7 pounds - bought the DVD, but never watch it at home. Another touching movie. Guarantee needs tissue :P.
  4. Edward Scissorhand - whoa..ancient years movie
  5. Radio Flyer
  6. Elizabeth - Golden Age
  7. Connected (Cantonese)
  8. Australia
  9. Curious Case of Benjamin Button - OK, it’s another tear shedding movie.
  10. Rob-B-Hood (Cantonese - Jackie Chan)
  11. Red Cliff 1 & 2
  12. Seoul Raiders (Cantonese) - another old Cantonese movie
  13. Tudor II Series - thumbs up!! Now I’m tempted to buy rest of the season
  14. S@x & City Series - not sure season what though

I won’t be going there so soon since my right hand man is there now :). Phew…what a relieve.

I’ve also stopped travelling for now. Time to plan for other stuff in office.

Apr 1

What is it with Jakarta & me? I’ve been going there like it’s the best tourism spot every other month or so.

My initial plan was to be in Jakarta on 21st onwards, cause we have finally identified a candidate to be on board to help up with the work there (so that I don’t have to go there so often…thank god). So I had planned to make a trip there before month end to train him up. But some mishap happened a week before that and I had to change my flight very last minute and took the earliest available flight there on 15th March itself.

Definitely not something I look forward to as I need to spend 2 weeks there now instead of 1 week. Moreover, it’s a public holiday on 16th March in Indonesia!! Nope, I didn’t get my holiday, but I was working thru my nose on that day to tidy up and merge 4 reports into 1!! I worked from 9am up till 12am midnite and finally manage to send the summary out to everyone on the latest status there.

A week passed, then 2nd week, I fell sick on Tuesday, caught a cold. Since there isn’t any local doctor around which I could find, I was lucky enough to find a pharmacy in the shopping mall & went to stock up some panadols, the-likes-of strepsils & Redoxon. Good thing I was feeling better by Thursday after a few dosage of panadol & Redoxon.

The only bonus was I found out there’s a shopping mall next to my hotel and there’s a factory outlet in the mall, so I went shopping spree there during the weekend to take a break from my work.  Clothes were as cheap as RM20/piece (on average). I bought a lot of disney clothing for my kids. I also managed to visit the National Musuem, which it’s 10 times better than ours!!

After my Jakarta trip, I did a personal trip to Yogjakarta, to visit Borobodur. This place is absolutely stunning!! I’ll blog bout it in a separate post with photos.

Meanwhile, here’s a photo of the view from my hotel room. Every night when I work in hotel, this is what behind me. The tallest building in the photo (the one 2nd from the left with a few blue lines), that’s my office. Unfortunately, I don’t go there everyday. On those days that I go there, I actually walk to office. Yes!! It’s walking distance, though not near, it’s definitely very fast especially when you are in a jam city.

And here’s a photo during day time. Jakarta is a city that is never shy of tall buildings. And obviously, their architects are pretty creative too. The building where my office is located, looks like a fountain shape pen eh :). On the left next to it is Shangri-la, where I’m supposed to stay but it’s fully booked :(.

I’m really glad that I’m finally home after 2 long weeks.

Work aside, I really need to sit down and settle all my AMEX bills, my income tax & get term life insurance quotes again. Time of the year again as usual.

Dec 10

I’ve been on a travelling spree seriously.

After my previous trip to Phuket, then 2 weeks later, I went to Jakarta - for work.

Two weeks after my Jakarta trip, I went to Phuket again!! Yes, we booked our flights & hotel instantly when we came back from our 1st Phuket Trip. But this time round we brought the kids and MIL along.

Daddy left a week after that, and in 2 weeks time, I travelled again O.o. Thank God it’s a short trip to Singapore.

It’s been a long time since I last set foot in Singapore and it has changed so much. I was there for work and it was crazy. The moment I touch down and check in to hotel, I logon to the internet & my boss skype me. Hey, I’m preparing the winter plans, can you get these stuff up for me…and next thing I knew I slept at 3am.

And that continued for another 1 day, before I finally decided that I need a break and spend my night enjoying the beautiful skyline of Singapore.

I’m finally home last Saturday, just to settle down for another 3 weeks, before my last trip of the year, Work & Holiday Trip.

Tell me where to find time O.o. And with the workload that is coming in, I bet I have to plan my next travel probably early February before the Chinese New Year, then resume travelling again in March. *Sweats* My existing luggage bag is also wearing out, I’ve been shopping around for a new one, but haven’t quite found 1 which I like. Probably need to drop by Samsonite luggage boutique next week and look at their range of bags.

This is probably the best time to clock more Kris Flyer Points :).

Or probably I need a Nike BackPack like Swee to pack my stuff hehe….

Nov 12

I was away on the last week of October for my biz trip in Jakarta & Bandung. This is my 1st time setting my foot in Jakarta. I’ve been warned about the *Hunt-for-Malaysian* Campaign. I’ve been warned about the bomb threats. I’ve been warned about taxi rides. I’ve received so many warnings from Daddy. Good thing is for this trip, I travel with another colleague of mine. Hence we can look after each other at times, though not all the time since we are both gonna be there to execute different things.

this is how bad the jam is. And it’s only 6pm in evening!! The traffic jam is on both side of the highway. All the way, I don’t know how many km seriously.

Seriously, there isn’t much time for sight seeing. I stayed in Shangri-La Jakarta. Very nice and probably the safer hotel around. Office is just walking distance. Yes!! our office is just next to the hotel. What a blessing. But the problem is, I only go to office for 1/2 the day. Rest of the time, I’m either at the Service Centre or Resellers. Means I’m on the road. Means I have to waste my time stuck in the traffic jam.

Getting from 1 place to another takes at least 30mins. Even though it’s a nearby location. That’s how bad the condition is. Then funny thing about their roads is. They have this 2 lane road next to the normal road, which they call like fast lane. Only cars with 3 occupants above can hop on to this fast lane. Along the fast lane, there are many people standing by the roadside. Wonder why? If your car has only 2 occupants, you can just pick one of the person on the road as a *temporary-passenger* so that you can use the fast lane without any problem. You just have to pay them 1USD. Then they get off once the fast lane ends.

Our day starts at 9am, and usually ends around 6pm Jakarta time. By 6pm when you get on the road, the streets are like 10pm at night. It gets dark very early here!! So there isn’t much to see or talkabout, except that I took alot photos of the food I ate haha…

When I reach hotel, it’s probably 7pm or so. We usually settle in the hotel, except for 1st night we went to eat at a local restaurant recommended by our local colleague.

Satay Senayan. A local satay chain restaurant. It’s packed!!

We flew in on Sunday, and after check in it was already close to 6pm. We went to eat Satay at a restaurant for dinner.

After Sunday, it was work all the way. On Wednesday we went to Bandung, again to audit the Service Centre. We had a bit of time after we finish off, that was the only time I managed to do some shopping at Factory Outlets.

We head home on Thursday noon. Didn’t go into office that day itself, and next day was already flooded with mails to clear, work to follow up and what nots.

Shangri-La Hotel. That where I stay. Took this photo while walking back to the hotel on the 1st night. Next, Hyatt Hotel. Super huge. Somewhere downtown. Took the photo during our car ride to have dinner.

But seriously, I prefer to go Jakarta than Vietnam. I really hate the roads in Vietnam. With all those bikes honking, it really makes me sick. Unless I’m on a bike, then it’s not so bad. At least Jakarta, you still sit in the car. And I didn’t have any car sick..pheww…I get car sick all the time when I’m in Vietnam. SUCKS :(.

My next biz trip is scheduled next month, 2 trips indeed!! Lets hope I don’t need to travel in Jan/Feb. Then resume travelling again in March.

Here are more photos taken during the trip, alot of food photos. Hold your saliva!!

Waiting for Aerotrain.

I got pretty bored as I arrived in Airport early and my colleague took ages to come LOL. So I started taking weird pictures of my sandals, my phone, people’s bag and what have you.

Don’t have an Ipod, Handphone with MP3 will do. Maybe I need an Ipod for my Christmas Present. *Ahem*

Satay. Served on a bed of peanut sauce. There’s actually charcoal burning at the bottom to keep the sauce warm. Simply delicious. The sauce taste like melted peanut butter haha…

Sup Buntut. Served with fried emping & fried carrots & potatoes. Nothing to shout about. I think my ABC soup taste better.

Fish, Sudanese style. This one is nice :).

Taufu with egg. I love this dish. Very appetizing.

On Sunday, there were alot of weddings in the hotel. We saw this at the lobby. So weird right, they congratulate the couple by giving flower arrangement like this. Reminds me of funeral more than wedding.

Day 1. I had to visit the Service Centre. Before that, they brought me to have lunch in a Chinese Restaurant. Nothing special, taste just like KL Chinese Food.

Roast duck, non fattening.

Spinach with soup & lots of century egg & salted egg. Yummy!! Fruits served on shaved ice. Creative I’d say?

Taufu & mushroom.

Day 1, at night we went to eat Sundanese food again with our colleague. Decided not to post too many food photo :p. On the left, LV Advertisement, super huge at one of the shopping mall. On the right, a locally branded beer, Bintang.

One of the dish that caught our attention is the fried taufu. It’s stuffed with prawns & veg. Our favourite.

Day 2, we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Buffet style!! This the only photo I took inside the hotel as they stopped me from taking photos later on.

Day 2, earlier I visited the IT Mall. Our Lowyat equivalent, only thing it’s older. On the right, that’s my colleague that travel with me. He’s posing outside the hotel lobby, next to the scanning device. We go thru this everyday without fail. That’s how tight the security is. 1st scan, the taxi entering the hotel. 2nd scan, the lobby.

This is lobby to the office. See, there’s a scanner as well waiting for you.

Starbucks coffee in Jakarta. This is just outside the office building.

Day 3, Bandung. This is where we had lunch.

A man doing apam balik Jakarta Style. In Green colour!!

And beside the apam balik, there’s a man preparing some taufu with some sauce. Forgot what’s the name, but I ate the taufu.

Some ulam served during our lunch. I like their sambal. In KL you only have 1 type of sambal. In Jakarta, you have all sorts of sambal. You name it, they have it.

Chicken cooked with kunyit.

A house nearby to the reseller in Bandung.

A view from my room. That’s an apartment right in the middle of the city. On the right, something that caught my attention, look at the word Male Print. Only for guys isit :P.

That’s all. Seriously, I don’t mind going back to Jakarta, minus the traffic jam.  The air is also not very clean, probably due to the no. of vehicles on the road. I wonder how often I have to clean my air conditioner filter if I live here. In KL I have to do it every 2 weeks. Probably I’ll be coming back here soon, maybe 3 months time. But next trip will surely be Jakarta and a few more cities, not just Bandung like this round.

Many of you thought that I went for a holiday. I wish I did too..since I only came back from Vietnam in Chinese New Year. But no, it wasn’t a holiday, but yes..it’s Vietnam again!!

I was at Hanoi (not HCM) for 2 weeks for some freaking work trip that I swear after the trip that I’ve had enough of Vietnam for the coming 1 year :P…Yes..all those Vietnam food, Traffic, Taxis were really getting into my nerve and boy am I glad that I’m finally back home. You know on my flight back, we were served with Satay & Fried Rice. Gosh…that 2 sticks of Satay was like my saviour LOL. Shows how much I missed KL and it’s really not easy to survive in a foreign land in for a long time.

And I have to give my my dearest hubby a big salute for doing that for the pass 1 yr, 3 months. Now I know how it feels dear…alone in a foreign land, coming back home is really a something you look forward to.

Anyway, back to the trip. Well, like I say it was freaking. I was contemplating whether to come back during the weekends or to stay over the weekends of that 2 weeks. So I did a crazy thing. I came back on Friday, then went to fetch the kids, then I left again on Sunday. But I was glad I made that choice cause I missed the kids so much (and of course they missed me too :P).

The weather was cold on the 2nd week that I had to run to this shop opposite my hotel to get a jacket :P. During the 1st week, it was like KL. Crazy weather eh…

I went there with a list of mission to accomplish and at the very last minute before leaving, I was still talking to the vendor which tried to bargain pricing for new contract. It wasn’t easy, me being the 1st timer. Good thing that the deal was closed before I pack my bag.

Apart from those negotiation, we went live with Vietnam Call Center after 1 week of training. I seriously hope that I don’t have to travel again at least till year end when another contract ends, but it’s not Vietnam for sure :P.

Photos above were taken during my trip. I decided to go 90% black & white this trip with my camera settings LOL.

  1. If you spotted the 1st pic (of course, it’s darn big OK :P), yep, that’s me, with a NEW HAIRCUT. I got it done sometime ago…in conjuction with..ermm..nothing, just for a change.
  2. Next to it, I got very bored travelling alone, I started to take candid shots of other passengers including their shoes :P.
  3. Not forgetting my yucky meal in the flight courtesy of MAS. Only the meals coming back were good, going there was bad.
  4. My seat on the plane (yes I’m so bored!!)..and I look at my passport..jeezz..I’m a Vietnam frequent traveller O.o
  5. The hotel photo, that’s Sheraton Hanoi. I didn’t stay there, but Daddy arranged to be base there for a week so that we could meet up. So I stayed at his hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is really beautiful, facing the lake!!.
  6. Caught the trainer inspecting the laptop during training. I was the Day 1 trainer, and he and another guy was the trainer for rest of the week.
  7. Clouds…the 1 thing that I never miss shooting in every of my trip. I just love those fluffy feeling.
  8. View from my hotel. My hotel was downtown near Old Quarters, a bit old and Daddy kept complaining it’s darn old..just cause he’s staying in Sheraton and it’s spanking new

After my 2 weeks away-and-home-in-between trip, this is what my children told me:

Faythe: Mommy, I think it’s enough already. You shouldn’t go anymore. It’s OK now, you can stay here. (Cause before I left I told her I’m going off and work like Daddy and only comes back once a while :P)

Vyktore: Mahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh………(screaming endlessly at me with that mah LOL)…and he’s very very attach to me lately :|…

More backdated post coming on the way….

The Shuttlers…
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Jazzmint, Work | icon4 03 24th, 2008| icon311 Comments »

The day was really long. We started at 9am with round robin game against 4 other teams. When we were drawn to Group B, we were actually quite relieved as there’s only another strong team to play against. Group A is Group of death. Yes..in fact it was a tough fight there.

We started our game well, scoring maximum points for 1st & 2nd game. Confidence begin to build on our side. Then 3rd game, we lost mixed double by a close margin (due to lots of mistakes…sigh). We won the 4th game, though we lost mixed double again (playing against state player…sure die lah).

Unexpected, we emerged 1st in Group B. So our opponent will be winner of Group A, Red Devils. Oh by the way, our team name is The Shuttlers.

Semi Finals started at 3pm.

  • Red Devil vs The Shuttlers
  • B8 United vs Captain Holbrook

Red Devil is a very strong team, whereby one of their men’s double was our office SRC Semi-finalist. Our team considered as underdog, though we have pretty good players. But we played strategy since it’s points system. Team that collects most points goes to Final.

And we won our Semi Final against Red Devil and proceed to Finals.

B8 United was no doubt the winning team. On papers, it’s already mentioned they are favourites. Hence they beat Captain Holbrook in Semis and meet our team in the Finals.

We started playing finals at 4pm. Won 1st game (men’s double). Hopes were high. We know we’d loose in Mixed Doubles as the opponent is pretty strong, hence we were there to collect maximum points for the team. We manage to close the gap up to 11 points, with the last pair our hope. They have to play 2 matches, so if they beat the opponent under 15 in each match, we will be the winner!! Whoa…..so excited and so nervous.

It was very tense…everyone watching. We can see both sides players so tense up. They kept making mistakes.

1st match, we won by 21-18. Meaning 2nd match, we have to beat them below 12 to win the match. If not it will be a draw :|. But 2nd game, our team lost the steam…and when opponent start to gain points and confident, we started dropping points.

The made a comeback after dropping some points, but it was already too late. Hence…the champions go to B8 United (my team’s opponent).

Well, to have gone that far to finals, was already something unexpected. I’m happy lah that I got 2nd prize. No monetary prizes haha…But a nice glass Trophy for everyone of us in the team.

We shall be back next year…hopefully…as a stronger side.

End of report for the badminton tournament :). 7 matches in a day, by the time it finished, I was so darn tired. My legs were aching, so does my back. I only took some shots here n there since I was playing. Gotta wait for photos from our official photographer to see what he has got.

Tournament Day
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Motherhood, Work | icon4 03 22nd, 2008| icon311 Comments »

After practicing intensely for the pass 1 month, we have finally come to tournament day. There will be 10 groups of which each group has 6 players (2 mens double, 1 mix double). The draw last week was pretty exciting though I weren’t there to witness.

What are the chances? Frankly speaking, on paper, we do have quite a good chance for semi finals. But we still don’t know. You see out of the 10 teams, we only know like 4 of the teams. Out of which the 4, 2 is in Group A, 2 in Group B(my team, incl. ourselves). And the rest we don’t know their strength and weakness, we’ve not seen them practice. We don’t even know their faces!! They might be underdogs but pretty unpredictable.

I’m pretty nervous. Slept quite early last night cause I was darn tired. Then I woke up at 430am and I can’t sleep. That explains why I’m posting this. I will try to get some sleep since the games start at 9am. But all the steps, the strategy I’m trying to recall, make sure I remember.

I’m not a state player eh…I’m a half pail water player LOL. And sometimes I can be quite OK, but other times sucks…Good thing my partner is very strong.

Well all the best to everyone, may the best wins.

Model Photoshoot
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Photography, Work | icon4 03 4th, 2008| icon316 Comments »

Well, it wasn’t any other day that you look forward to when you have to do outdoor photoshoot and it was raining like there’s no tomorrow!! And the more you wish the rain would stop, the more it rains…yikes!!

That was what happened on Saturday. And I started getting sms asking me if plans are still on. Well…we didn’t cancel it. But we changed our plans totally.

We hired a few make up artist to make up for the female models. Oh..before I forget, these are not my colleagues. My colleagues all so shy, last minute all are not come LOL. Hence we got some pretty-hot-saxxy ladies externally. Then we had 3 males from our department volunteered to be male models.

So make up all done…change into their clothings…and we had no choice but to shoot in office lobby & receptionist. Make do with whatever lighting we had. As usual, all the photographers were like so hungry for pics….they just can’t stop snapping LOL. And the models were great too…they really know how to pose to kill hahaha…..

We moved on to outside the office lobby, where there were some natural light and I seriously prefer to shoot out there!! The photos look so much better. Then finally when the rain stops at 12pm, we head to Lake Gardens.

Yup, we went there instead of Putrajaya cause we had some logistics issue with Putrajaya Shangri-La. I shall spare you the details.

So we spent close to an hour for the outdoor shoot at Lake Gardens..and went back to office bad lunch and went back home.

I clocked more than 400 shots that event itself :|. Crazy right…but some are not the shots I want, some are underexposed, some flash not bounce correctly (creating shadow). Seriously…it’s not easy shooting indoor!! I’d definitely prefer outdoor anytime. The photo in the post is not edited, direct from camera.

But I thought some of it didn’t look dramatic enough, hence I edited a bunch of it and put into the album…for your viewing Pleasure :). Comments and criticism are welcome ;).

Overall a great experience…but seriously, I hate indoor haha…

Feb 28
(credits & details here)

I went to Putrajaya with the kids sometime ago. I didn’t drive there, a photographer kaki drove us there since he wanted to kepoh as well. Met up with my colleague, whom is also the sponsor mgr for photography club.

What were we doing there? We are having some event this Saturday, 1st March. We decide to do something different for the outing this time. Instead of field trip, we are going to do model shoot. Syiok ehh…

So we were at Dataran Putrajaya…the mosque, like the scenery there though it’s quite crowded. And there was this big mansion across the Mosque. Wonder who’s house is that. Took some shots at the bridge, but I doubt that’ll be the place we gonna shoot.

Then we went up to Shangri-La Putrajaya to have a look and there was a park (which was more quiet) and we thought that’d be a good place for photoshoot.

I just randomly took some pics there as homework cause we need to discuss about the location (as we have not finalised yet) in the next meeting.

So what else…..lets wait for this Saturday and see how well it goes. I’m very excited & nervous at the same time since it’s 1st time doing model shoot and I’m not really interested in shooting leng luis…I prefer to shoot kids.

Feb 25

Sometime in January, I was given the privilege (again…this is the 3rd time) to organise an unforgettable event for our department. The previous few time, I was the committee, this round I’m the organising chairman :|. A kick-off dinner for 1000 staff!! Yeah…my dept is that big, scary huh. Close to 650 people registered and turn out for that event. It was held in Renaissance KL. It was really stressful throughout that period…you know all these people last minute want to come, all the changes in the program, etc, etc…I’m so glad that the event went well, apart from the system hiccup during registration.

Sorry no pics as I was too busy that night and thank god I wasn’t the official photographer if not everyone will be so upset cause no photos hahaha…

(credits & details here)

So after the event, we wanted to celebrate with the team after all the hardwork. So we went Lobstering @ Lobsterman SS2. It was a Friday night and I asked the sponsor mgr if I could bring my kids along hehe…yes, I brought them along with my maid!!!

Everyone had their share of lobster (cooked in various style), mussels, escargot, garlic bread, pumpkin soup (Vyktore drank 2 bowls!!). It was a great time. We also open 2 bottles of wine (I didn’t drink of course).

The kids enjoyed the meal too. I ordered a set for 2 to share with my maid. It comes with 2 pumpkin soup (which Vyktore sapu all), A lobster (I chose French Bake with Cheese), a bake seafood with cheese rice (the kids love this too) and fruit dessert (Vyktore ate most of the pineapples in the dessert).

Faythe had a great time drawing on the table cloth paper (they put thick paper on top of the table cloth so that they can wrap and throw easily).

Great place for dining, but not cheap. About 15 of us and the bill came up to a whooping RM2K. This my 2nd time there, 1st time was very long ago with Daddy and his friend (also friend belanja us).
