Few weeks back, Daddy & Mommy went to for a short holiday in Bangkok. Didn’t bring Faythe along as Daddy says the place is not so hygiene, and of course it’s not easy to carry a baby and go marathon shopping. So we went there and left Faythe with MIL.
Didn’t have time to blog about this..so finally I can blog, moreover just downloaded the pics from the digicam. So how much was the hotel, trip accomodation…shall tell you at the end of the blog hehe…

DAY 1

So, we arrived Bangkok on a morning Thursday, it was raining!! DUHH!! Raining season konon…Hop onto the airport transfer and headed to the hotel. On the way, sudah jam teruk..The tour guide says that Bangkok is always jam and it’s horrible. Yep!! He’s darn right. Took a couple of snapshots while sitting in the van stuck in the jam..Tallest building in bangkok, a hotel. And a very colourful building, dunno what’s that though.
After that the tour guide helped us check-in to the hotel, Twin Towers (ermm..not KLCC eh)…mini KLCC hahaha..it’s a 4star hotel, looks pretty OK, rooms are OK, got a few astro channels. Then the tour guide drop us off at this World Trade Center, where there’s a huge Duty Free Shop, but the stuff were bloody expensive, cause Daddy can get better discount back in KLIA. So we took a walk and left that place after 5minutes. Went to makan, then we embark on the half day city tour.
Went to 2 temples to look see look see..and here are some pics, dunno what’s the name of temple lah, but definitely not the Grand Palace there one.
Then the next stop was GEM stone outlet..this according to the tourguide is genuine. By looking at the size of that place, as well as all the ISO certification, I can assure you that’s a real shop selling real stones kekeke…..so we did a short tour, looked at some stones (ruby & sapphire are local stones) and we finally decide to get 2 rings, cause it was dirt cheap lahh…In total we spent like RM400+ for that two rings (sapphire, sapphire+ruby). kekekke…tai sau wok.
At night we went for a river cruise along the famous Chao Phraya river, with some jazz music, buffet dinner…the scenery was splendid, but too bad the camera tarak anti-shake proof, so all the pics look ghostly and got deleted kekeke..After the cruise, it was still early, we went to the night bazaar in suan lum (pasar malam). Whoa, that place was huge, probably it’s like 3-5times our usual pasar malam, and sell damn a lot of stuff..cool!! Didn’t buy anything, just merely surveying.

Day 2

Today is a shopping day. Our target is MBK, 7 storeys shopping mall, located like 5minutes drive (no jam) from our hotel. So we went there around 10am, after had buffet breakfast in hotel (breakfast sucks big time). Shops were open, so we went floor by floor, almost shop by shop (skip alot also lah cause damn a lot shops lah), looked at so many things and check a lot of pricing also..Notice, still checking price, haven’t even buy hahaha…
But Mommy decided that she wants to get some lingerie there, cause it’s really cheap leh, wacoal brand for RM30+!! Madness, went on sapu a few sets kakaka…So no more buying lingerie for the coming…Most of my money finished there LOL. Then bought a 2 working clothes, bought a top and skirt for Faythe (for age 1-2).
So the whole day we spent there, shopping, had lunch, and shop and had dinner..whoaa..at the end of the day, tak larat liao…so went back to hotel (again it’s raining!!) and just drop dead!! Manage to take some pics of taxi in Bangkok, they got multi-colour taxi: orange, pink, blue+red, yellow+green..hahaha weird!!

Day 3

It’s the weekend, so we are supposed to go to chatuchak (weekend flea market concept thingy). We took a cab to MBK, and then too the BTS SkyTrain (the likes of LRT) cause it’s cheaper and no jam mah. And this was where we experience a great true life story.
We wanted to take a cab, then this fella told us, hey I charge only 10bhat. We were like, wah RM1 oni, ok lah…sattt!! When we got up the cab, then the fella say, on the way to MBK, we stop by to this shop, it’s on the way, so that he can get some coupon for gas…Daddy said OK, but I was a bit vary since I heard alot bout the scam..Sudah show panic face lah :P..So there we arrived at another Gem shop, with almost the same layout as the previous one, but this one was pretty small..then they brought us upstairs, and I started telling Daddy, die die, sure die liao…Daddy still cool, nvm we see only, 10minutes we cabut (10mins was the deal, we have to stay there 10mins, then he gets free coupon).
So we went looking, pretending and being cautious, anyway, didn’t wanna buy since Day 1 beli liao. So after 10 mins, we escaped from that shop, hop on to the same taxi and cabut. And then again, he say one more stop!! What the )#(@#)()@#(….Daddy straightaway said no, no more stop…just go MBK, we pay you…waiyoo, scary man…and the trip from there to MBK, Mommy was looking around, left, right, so afraid that we kena *lou lap* from this fella. When I saw MBK and left the taxi, it was a big relieved…phewwww!!
OK, so we took the train to chatuchak, and spent the rest of the day there…bloody huge market, I would say maybe 3-5 times the size of Mid Valley, keng chau huh…They even have a map for you, we walk n walk n walk, almost got lost. Bump into a lot interesting stuff, from beads, t-shirt, food, decoratives and even puppies and other pets was sold there!!
Amazing lah…here are some pics…Daddy bought the roadside food, fear factor food kekeke…silk worm, locust, cricket and god knows what…all fried and added with salt!! We took a video on that, I’ll post that up later once I compress and rotate it :). Mommy tried the silk worm…ermm comment is, tried and didn’t like it :).
And from there, we bought a lot of stuff, and spent almost all money there..had the local Tham Tim Crop..yummy lah..can put damn alot *liu* inside one ekekke…so after whole day walking, when we almost got lost and couldn’t find the way out, we finally exit at one of the gate, make some walk and came back to where we entered!! Took a BTS back to MBK, did a bit of shopping, had dinner there and head back to hotel.
Daddy says wanna go Hard Rock, but Mommy already half dead!! I actually nap for like 2 hours, then woke up..and went to Hard Rock kakaka…it was near our hotel too, in fact it was @ Siam, another shopping place. But the HR was not that happening, so we went in, had 2 drinks and cabut.

Day 4

OK, so it’s the last day…again we went to MBK…Now you see lah, it’s really the best place to shop..can bargain a bit, but got pretty good varities, but not as keng as chatuchak. Daddy bought his glow in the dark shirts!! Then we had lunch. Suppose to check out at 4pm (extended). So after lunch, we went back to hotel, laze around..and we decided, after all the walking for the pass 3 days, we will go for a full body massage.
There’s a massage parlour opposite the hotel, so very convenient lah kekeke…The massage I won’t say it’s superb, but it wasn’t lousy either…for sure I did hear some *crak crak* sound when they attempt to stretch my backbone kakaka…fun :). So at 5pm, we took the airport transfer to airport, and then embark the plane and flew back to KL. Arrived at 11pm, bought some duty free and by the time we arrived home, it was 12am+. Tiring, and tomorrow got to work somemore!!

So that’s the trip to Bangkok.

ohoh..forgot to tell you, how much we spent? Accomodation was around RM450, transport+ makan +shopping+rings was around Rm2000, flight ticket of course FOC lah…so it’s RM2.5K for 2 person, very cheap lehhh…somemore bought a lot barang home. Daddy say if we always go for these low budget free and easy tour, we can afford go travelling every month!! Wah siao…there goes my leave liao.
Wanted to blog about this, because tomorrow I’m going for another trip…but not with Daddy or Faythe, but with office mates. Team building in eagle ranch hehehe…

Milestones…

Faythe is now 8 months 3 weeks+…very long I’ve not updated on her progress. So decided to post it here, cause I’m so bored on a Sunday afternoon (daddy working again!!), just finished my office presentation slides and Faythe is downstairs playing with maid.
1. She joined the National Service(NS) 2 weeks back - hahaha…MIL bought her a bunch of army baju from Mothercare..including shoes and hats. And there she is, doing her crab crawl. Why we call crab crawl is because she doesn’t like to crawl properly, but instead stick one leg out like a crabby…She can crawl pretty fast if she’s not crab crawling…chase Mommy from living room to dining room
2. She got a new sleeping mate - that’s the little Monkey daddy bought from Bangkok. Every night when it’s bed time, Mommy will put on the sleeping bag for her, then pass her the monkey…she will hold and hug it and off she goes to bed. Lately Mommy teach her to sayang Monkey…so when we tell her sayang Monkey…she will pat and sleep on the monkey..cute scene :)..Sometimes she even try to hold the monkey and at the same time cruise in the cot. Yes she can cruise, but only few steps..but that makes Mommy a happy woman hahaha…
3. she eats ice-cream? - Yes she does…she has tried green tea, chocolate and probably some vanilla…She loves it, and sometimes she shows funny faces..probably because of the chilly feel. But what happened on Friday was a total mess…Daddy suddenly decided to give her food to play. A bar of chocolate coated vanilla ice cream from tesco. She started holding the ice cream and realise it starts melting. At the same time it’s so cold..then she had fun putting her dirty hands all over the floor..messed up her baju!! In the end all the ice cream melted, but she didn’t eat any of those…And daddy ran away *evil of him*. So Mommy got to clean up the mess with Kakak..bath her again and Kakak got to mop the floor *Mommy cursing Daddy* #)@(#)@(#)@(#
4. She sleeps by herself..in the morning nap - Yup, Mommy trying to train her for self-sleep-morning-nap. She’s trained to sleep herself at night since 2 months…then she started not wanting to sleep by herself few weeks back, but after we came back from Bangkok, MIL had conveniently trained her to sleep early, and of course, Mommy won’t miss the opportunity to let her sleep herself again hahaha..But for morning & noon naps..she never did really sleep herself, always have to be rocked!! So I tried to train her during the weekends for her to sleep herself during morning nap…So far so good..before she falls asleep, she has the habit of moving all around the bed (MIL says like a maggot) to find the right spot…once she finds it..she’ll just fall aslepp..and when she woke up, she got a cock hairstyle (kai kung tau) hahahaha..See told you she loves the monkey..sometimes when she wakes up, she will attempt to baby talk with the monkey.
5. She has good eating habit - Drinks milk 2-3 times a day (5-6oz). Porridge twice a day, she actually can wallop the whole bowl of porridge if she’s in good mood *if the flavour goes well*, if not, usually she finishes 3 quarter or leave a few spoonful behind. The record was she finished a whole bowl of porridge + a jar of baby food at one go!! Other than that, she snacks on stuff like Nori Seaweed (her fav.), bananas (can just bite, don’t even need to mash), papayas, mash potatoes, apples, pears, Yakult yoghurt drink (boost lactobasilus bacteria), tofu. She also loves drinking from straw, not that she can suck from straw, but Mommy drops the drink from the straw into her mouth hehe..Cheeky little girl, she can even pose for me to take pic hahaha… I hope she will continue to enjoy her food and won’t be picky later.
6. Waiving Bye Bye - yes..she can do this since 2 weeks ago!! Mommy thought her how to waive bye bye for some time, probably like 1 month ago, but she never did..always kakak have to take her hand and waive. Then one day when we were leaving MIL’s house, she waived bye bye to MIL when Mommy said “bye bye grandma”. Wow, MIL so happy, immediately kissed her..and she of course got so excited lah, since then everytime we leave MIL’s house, she will happily waive bye bye to everyone. The only person she doesn’t waive bye bye is Mommy, weird!! Now gotta teach her other stints kekeke…

I weigh and measure her length on Friday. The mark is at 8kg and 72cm. Happy Faythe, Happy Mommy.

Magic Cream

2 months ago when we visited paed, he gave me some seba med products. It says, baby bubble bath and baby special healing cream. Hmm..so I thought, wah bubble bath, that would be fun for Faythe, but since we got no bath tub, guess gotta bubble bath in her mini tub. But Mommy have yet to officiate the use of Bubble Bath. It’s still idleing in the bathroom.
So what about the healing cream? I find it pretty cute, it was a tiny tube, 10mg. So I just put it aside for later use. When we came back from Bangkok, I was in the state of shock to see Faythe’s face were red, it was so rough (like sandpaper) and alot of rashes. Well, I bet it’s eczema. She had eczema when she was 2 months old. The previous paed gave some Hydro-dunno-what cream to apply. It works wonder, but the downside is it has steroid content. If used excessively, will make the skin very thin. So apply minimal only.
Then, SIL gave me another huge jar of hydro-dunno-what cream, she got from the hosp..this one is more diluted, so the steroid effect is not so strong. Nevertheless, she also advise not to use it unless necessary. But since she didn’t had any outbreak since then, I just kept it.
So when Mommy saw the sandpaper & red face, very sum tung already..Went home, quickly went to apply the seba-med cream for her. The contents show that there’s no steroid on it. The next morning, immediately it got better, redness were gone. Then I did the same every night, when she’s asleep, I would apply some on the face. Few days and the eczema or whatever rashes was that, were all gone!! Wonder cream I should say..hahaha…and the best thing is, it smells nice (not frangant) and it’s not oily.
Here’s the product & detail description, a must have for Mommies.

Mid Autumn Festival
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe | icon4 09 19th, 2005| icon312 Comments »
Mommy just downloaded the new plug-in for blogger, posting direct from MS Word. This is real cool hahaha…
Anyway, here’s what happened on Mid Autumn Festival. First year celebrating this occasion with Faythe. I was contemplating whether to get her any tanglungs or not..since she’s so young, I don’t think she would appreciate. So in the end, Mommy bought some Japanese Lanterns..looks beautiful and cheap as well..at least Faythe can see no touch hahaha….
We had early dinner since Daddy was scheduled for Macao Flight. Maid cooked dinner as usual under Mommy’s supervision. The result of the food, not much taste lah except the chicken with “fong lut” was good.
Then Mommy brought Faythe for the usual evening walk at about 7pm. The skies getting dark and I thought of lighting up some candles. Thanks to one of the Mommy suggesting tealight candles, I got tones of that at home, so started lighting them up all over the car porch..Faythe were in the stroller, watching me…But it was too windy, I had to keep on relighting the candle until I got fedup. Better do this later. So took Faythe in and she nap for like 15minutes?
Then it was 8pm+…I started lighting up again, this time it’s much more successful hehe..Then I put on the lanterns one by one..Faythe was amazed looking at the lanterns. After all that’s done, I left maid and Faythe to entertain themselves while I went for a shower.
Later I decide, why not light up some fireworks, since we’ve got some leftovers from CNY. So brought out 2 sticks…long one with the bottle as the holder. Started lighting one…then the fireworks started shooting up…Faythe got frightened due to the sound (first time see mah hahaha)..but at the same time she was ke poh as well..Then I lighted a few more and she enjoyed it :).
About 9pm+, got tired liao, so went back inside, had mooncake, ling kok and the mini yam..gave a bit to Faythe to taste as well hehe…So that’s the first quiet Mid Autumn Festival we had with Faythe.

Mushroom Porridge & Sashimi
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe | icon4 09 18th, 2005| icon39 Comments »
Today is Mid Autumn Festival (Mooncake Festival). Mommy bought some tanglung for Faythe to see (not to hold) as she’s still young. Gonna light them up tonite hehe…..
So what did we do on Saturday?
Faythe woke up very cheerful. Had her usual milk breakfast. Then took her shower and nap for 2 hours hehe..yes long 2 hours. In between she actually woke up, but i didn’t bothered, so she played for a while by herself then she fell asleep again. So when woke up, we had mushroom porridge (with other veg and meat inside). Yummy!! She finished the whole bowl.
Daddy’s fren were here watching VCD, so we finished the VCD..then Faythe was sleepy..so slept another 1 hour in the afternoon. While she was sleeping..Mommy was busy counting coins hahaha…See…all nicely arranged, guess how much is that..
In the evening, Daddy whom was supposed to be on standby wasn’t not called in, so we went dinner with MIL and family at Marriot Putrajaya. Japanese buffet. Whoa yummy…The sashimi were fresh, they had my fav. softshell crab hehehe..BIL was the hero, he had like more than 10 rounds including 2 rounds of fresh oysters (I hate oysters..can’t stand the fishy smell). Then we went back to MIL’s house @ Equine Park, watched the Korean show, forgot what’s the title, some sword fighting coupled with evil spirits hahaa…Left around 11 and arrived home at 12am…Faythe was asleep all the way from Equine Park back to BU.
I’m blogging now, Faythe..ermm..she’s in her cot, sitting standing..and the cot is beside me hehehe…the wonders of Cot with wheels :). Daddy is sleeping, flying Macao tonite :(.

Afraid of wou-wou?
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe | icon4 09 13th, 2005| icon312 Comments »
As usual, Mommy and Faythe went for evening walk today..I usually bring Faythe for evening walks on weekends and sometimes weekdays if I reach home early and the weather is good. So today, we did the usual roundings around the neighbourhood…well, I was a bit adventurous, sidetrack a bit from the usual park and went further around our housing area..While strolling her in the pram, as usual she’s very kepoh..looking around…then we saw this dog, it was barking from one of the house..Faythe suddenly got terrified and cried..I quickly console her and hug her, then put her back into the pram and continue walking…Didn’t know she was afraid of dog!! So after walking a bit of distance…we came to another house on the way back, this time, the dog was tied to the gate, but it was outside…as we walk pass that house, the dog attempted to chase us…Faythe screamed her lungs out when she saw that. Poor girl, Mommy had to carry her up and scold the dog…telling her Mommy go beat the dog for bullying Faythe…luckily she was consolable.
So off we went and there wasn’t anymore dog encounters…went home, had her porridge (started giving her 2 times porridge a day)..after that she took a short nap. Then Daddy woke up from his nap and came downstairs…cuddled her while she was sleeping. So I was telling daddy that she’s afraid of dog. She woke up a while later and started looking at us and playing. Then daddy (being his mischievous self as usual) pretended barking like a dog..instantly she burst into tears!! Waiyoo…memang not being helpful, make her cry again. Luckily only for a while, after that she was OK.
Lesson learnt..no dogs at the moment. Luckily we have yet to decide getting a pug, bulldog or retriever in the house to add on to our home’s *PET COMMUNITY*. If not, we will see a lot of dog & baby drama everyday. But I’ve always like retriever, they are so gentle especially to kids, and they are very intelligent…like the one posted in this blog. That’s my “brother* punya male retriever named Sky. Picture taken long time ago in his old rented house. They’ve (Sky & Snow) now grown so much bigger and very playful too.

1 or 2 side of the story
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Et Cetera | icon4 09 3rd, 2005| icon32 Comments »
few weeks ago, my colleague broke the news to me that my team is moving to office downtown. I was caught in surprise..reason is the department is restructuring and rearranging all the seats are there are simply not enough to cater for the likes of us, so the delivery people would stay at the same place..and supporting function (like my team) will have to move out. Pretty upsetting news it was. I started to worry bout how I’m gonna go to work….
few days later, I heard that it’s actually interim period only, when the cbj office is ready, delivery team will move there (some of them) and we will be back at our existing premise. Then last week, I asked the dept, sexytary when we are moving, and she says..oohh..not sure yet, cause Big Big Boss not in favour (as big big boss also affected)..
So it’s really 2 sides of the story, which side you wanna listen to? It is very common, we as human always listen to one side of the story, usually the negative side…before we go find out the other side of the story, we always jump into conclusion. I admit I’m sometimes this kind of people…but I’m learning not to be this kinda people..it’s tough, but it really tests your patience, because the positive story always comes behind.
As the saying goes, everything that happens in your life, there’s a blessing in disguise.
A picture of Faythe taken today while she was standing holding on to the cot railing..Look, she’s in a pretty dress, bought by Evelyn :)
