It’s finally a year since the birth of our princess/monkey-girl Faythe. Time flies, all of a sudden she turn from a baby to a lil’ giant :P. When she reach the mark of 1yo, she even showed significant progress in her motor skills by walking. Yes, she has started walking on the day of her birthday, more than 3-4 steps. We counted, it was 16 steps the most kekeke…Now only wait for her to utter her first “REAL” word.

Her birthday is on 6th Jan, but Daddy was working and had something to do at night, so we decide to celebrate on Sunday noon, cause Sunday night we have to attend wedding dinner. But MIL thought we should got for dinner on 6th itself, so we went for a dinner at one of the German restaurant in TTDI. She was dressed in a dress, so pretty and she definitely looks older mannnnnn…We had our dinner, and restaurant gave her a slice of tiramisu for her birthday. I didn’t have camera with me, so didn’t manage to take a pic of her first birthday slice of cake. We arrived home pretty late, thanks to the KL flash flood. She was still pretty active, playing and cruising around the bed. I manage to cheat her into wearing my headband and took a pic…she looks like an angel with that kekeke…

Daddy came home 10pm+, he didn’t manage to get a gift, so he bought a mini cake for Faythe. Poor girl, got dig up by Daddy from her sleep. She sat on the chair and stare blankly at the cake, must be wandering, what is this cake thingy at this hour…But she didn’t fuss about, in fact we sang her birthday song again!!, She cut the cake with Daddy’s assistance, and had a few spoon of the cake :).

So on 8th Jan, we cook up a feast…Daddy did, not Mommy :P. Mommy was in charged on buying the ingredients and buying the cake. And as usual the salad, which ended nobody ate!!..It was capsicum salad, not sure why Daddy ask to make, when there’s no one eating except Mommy, apalah!!!

Mommy ordered the cake from Swee, we had banana chocolate cake, with a monkey face. Though she’s a 2005 baby, but she’s considered monkey year as she’s born before the CNY. Monkey tail hehe…..

Daddy cooked his signature dish, but this time we had ham and prawns instead of mini prawns kekeke…and the main ingredients of course is the salted eggs. We infused some olive oil with dried chilli 1 week before, so the outcome was more spicy than the previous time. Caught a pic of Daddy cooking in the kitchen with maid’s help. Faythe was napping upstairs while we quickly cook up while waiting for MIL, BIL & SIL’s family to arrive. Then we have our lunch, Faythe had her pasta with cheese, she was busy playing with SIL’s son, gabriel, 3 months younger than her. Gabriel has not learn how to crawl or sit still, so while lying down on the mattress, Faythe started offering Gabriel with all her toys. She’s pretty generous with her toys, which I’m glad that she’s not possesive and kiam siap.

After lunch, we took the cake out, sat Faythe behind the cake. She looked at it, anxiously…it was as though she knows it’s her birthday. Cause it’s the 3rd time we are cutting cake!!! She sat quietly, while we snap photos. Then we sang the birthday song, she smiled and enjoyed it…feel perasan mah kekeke…When we ask her to blow, obviously she doesn’t know what is that, she just peer her face towards the cake…thinking to eat up the whole cake I suppose :P. We blew the candle for her, and she cut the cake again with Daddy’s assistance. In fact, Daddy create a mess by giving her some cake on the spot…haiyooo…..messy birthday girl.
So that was the lil’ birthday celebration. Simple and yet memorable. Gifts she received, angpows worth hundreds of dollars hehehe…
