Estimations:
Baby’s weight: 2.5kg
Baby’s head circumference: 36w0d
Baby’s tummy: 37w1d
Baby’s position: head down but not engaged

Mommy’s weight: 71.5kg (put on 1.5kg since last checkup)
Blood pressure: 70/110

Everything looks fine. Placenta showing more calcium deposits. So it’s pretty likely that we will be inducing next week after the next checkup.
Gynae mentioned that now that baby is considered fullterm, it’s safer to have the baby outside than inside since the placenta is giving way. Totally agree with him. And I’m also getting very tired carrying this big bulge around.
Looks like I gotta speed up my handover work to my colleagues. I told my lady boss bout it, she was like *alamak, so fast ah*. Yalor..what to do.

So now target date for deliver probably on 8th/9th. Worldcup baby?

Daddy says if on 9th, then who scores the first goal we will name after him. *Slap forehead*. First game is German vs Costa Rica, means my son gonna have German name!!! *Fainted*.Well at least if I deliver on 9th, I can watch the match in hosp. The previous time I was so bored didn’t know what to do

Mommy finally went to get a blow up pool for Faythe last weekend. But was too lazy to blow it up. So this weekend I made up for it. YESS!! I blew the pool up myself. Consider that as part of the practice I need to breathe in and out for labour kekekee…..

Faythe of course was all so excited when she saw Mommy blowing the pool up. She got so excited and ran to the door, wanted to go out. Then I told her to wait, Mommy go get your swimsuit. She waited patiently, changed into her swimsuit and got ready for her splish splash weekend.

We filled up the water, about 3-5 inches. She was busybody and wanted to hold the hose. And started splashing water onto herself (hose out of control). Then we threw in a few of her toys and there she was happily *swimming*, kicking, scooping water and etc.

After a while, she started climbing in and out of the pool to practice her skills. Then Mommy asked her to call Gabriel (Faythe’s cousin) to join in. So she took her lobster toys and started talking on the lobster hahahahaaa….

We had 2 sessions of pool during the weekend. I bet she’ll be looking for more of such activity the coming weekends.

Just 2 days back, I measured her height, she’s 85cm now. No wander her swimsuit looks as though it has shrunk!!

Football Fever

World Cup is gonna start in a week’s time and Faythe is all geared up with the World Cup. Mommy is a soccer fan, but I don’t really support any team, just watch for fun, no bettings. As for Daddy, he’s even shorter than becoming a fan since he never watch football. He’s still in the Michelle Platini era *history - shake head*. And he likes France because of that *slaps head*.We spotted this cute jersey in Reject Shop a while ago and we went to grab 2, one Brazil one France. There weren’t much country available, only the usuals like German, England and a few more. I wanted Holland, cause orange is attractive mah.Anyway, Faythe is happily dressed up like a mini-football fan. So far she doesn’t watch football since we don’t have Astro at home and Mommy doesn’t go for her mamak session anymore. But whenever we watch the football news on TV, she gets excited especially when there’s a goal scored. Maybe she learned this when I was pregnant as I used to watch football every other weekend

Bath Tricks
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe, Scrapbooking | icon4 05 19th, 2006| icon3No Comments »
I believe every Mom has the same problem as I do. Need to take shower and our children just wouldn’t let us do it in peace. I have the same problem too. Most of the time I try not to ask my maid to take care of Faythe when I shower as she will be cooking or doing other things.I used to leave her with Daddy or in the cot and keep her occupied with some things while I take a quick shower, but nowadays it doesn’t work anymore. She wants to join me taking shower. Actually she’s more interested in playing with water. To coax her not to shower with Mommy (since she already shower 2 times @ MIL’s house), this what I usually do:

  1. Ask her to take the bathroom stool, sit by the door
  2. Then ask her to take her story book and read while waiting for Mommy
  3. Give her some coins and occupy her with the piggy bank
  4. Ask her questions, like where’s her monkey, pacifier, etc…so that she will go to the room and find the thing while I bath.
While she does all this, I’ll keep talking to her with the shower screen door wide open. She will walk and come to the shower to ensure I don’t close the door, or else she would start screaming. But I find it easier this way, at least I can bath in peace while entertaining her. When I finish shower, I will usually ask her to take towel for Mommy. She will do that by handling me the towel. Sometimes she will pass me my dirty clothes and ask me to wear *slap forehead*. I find that by keeping herself busy with some things, she will somehow forgot that I’m bathing and she’s not :P.If all fails, the only option is to let her shower together with me. She’s happy enough to play with the water, and when Mommy says *kow tim*, lets go. She will pass all her bath toys to keep and we are done.

5W to go : history repeats itself

I just got back from gynae visit this am, seems like history repeats itself after 1.5 yrs.

When we arrived in the clinic, Daddy was asking about inducing again this time round. Then we started looking at dates (nice numbers actually) and see which day is good.

18 June - Sunday, gynae say don’t want
23 June - EDD, but very unlikely baby will come that day, usually earlier

6 June - very nice date, 6.6.06, devils number lah!! And Mommy doesn’t wanna deliver 6.6 also cause it’s my project go-live date. Daddy say if 6.6.06, must change the name, use Damien (exorcist movie *bang head on wall*)

13 June - hmm…so so only lahh
16 June - gynae says it’s a friday baby..hmm..no significant LOL. But we are more or less OK with this

Gynae gave us the admission letter. Whoa..it’s like so near to deliver lah…

Estimations:
Baby’s weight: 2.3kg
Baby’s head circumference: 34w5d
Baby’s tummy: 34w5d
Baby’s position: head down, he was moving alot while we were scanning

Mommy’s weight: 70kg (put on 2kg since last checkup)….that’s 1kg a week!! OMG…it has hit 70kg
Blood pressure: 70/110

After scanning, gynae says, looks like baby gonna be out early. And I was like oh nooo…and it’s the same as what happens in previous pregnancy.
From the scan we can see some calcium deposits starts to build up around the placenta, not a lot, but can see it appearing. So we will have to check again in 2 weeks time to see how it goes.
Looking at Faythe’s record, it also shows the same that at 35 weeks we spotted the calcium deposit. And 3 weeks later Faythe was out. So it’s very likely this time round gonna be the same.
Looks like I need to pack my bag this weekend and go do some final things…don’t be lazy sitting around do other things liao!!

@ night

This is what we usually do at night when Mommy don’t have to work OT. If Mommy is not lazy, and camera battery fully charged, I’ll grab the camera and start snapping photos of Faythe. Sometimes she will pose for you, other times she’s just too busy with her stuff.Photos were one hours ago. At first she had her desserts (papaya). After that, we head upstairs, suppose to be sleeping, but she wanted to write. So I gave her a piece of paper & pen and she started scribbling. Of course in between, she switched positions, drag the chair all over, try to sit on the stairs, the chair and even the table!!After a while, I can sense she’s sleepy, so told her to keep the stuff and go to bedroom. We put her chairs back and then went to bedroom, on the music, off the lights. 5 minutes later, she’s already on her way to wonderland :).

The little time that a working mother gets to spend with her beloved daugther. Only a few hours, and yet it is so precious to me.

Good Morning Faythe

It’s very rare that I can snap photos of Faythe waking up, like what Dinah does for Ashley cause usually Faythe wakes up earlier than Mommy. Lazy Mommy what to do. So happen last Saturday for once I woke up earlier and manage to sneak out to get the camera. When I got back into the room, Faythe was sitting on her cot awake so I quickly snap some photos and here’s what I’ve got.I love to watch her waking up, she will usually walk over to our bed with her monkey, climb onto our bed, then chuck her head over on my pillow and continue sleeping. If I move and wake up, she will continue stretching and laze around, and after a few minutes she will start walking around the room.I never had any problem waking her up in the morning as she’s always bright n chirpy, though sometimes if she’s still sleepy, she will just open up her eyes and then doze off again.Wonder with the arrival of the little brother, will she still have her good night sleep with all the night feeds going on.

May 10

2 weeks ago, Mommy went shopping in Petaling Street and came across this shop selling Toys and other *lup-chup* things. It’s a wholesale shop and the price are quite reasonable, best thing was you don’t have to buy in bulk.

I bought 2 piggy banks for our lil ones (Faythe + baby in me) so that I won’t need to get it again later on for baby (in case no more in production). Daddy wanted to get one from 1utama which can dance whenever you put in money, but it was like RM40. He say later wohh…So when I saw this and they were selling for RM20, i just grab it. Of course it doesn’t dance, but it looks cute. Pink for Faythe, Blue for didi.

Next day when Faythe came home (so happen she overnite at MIL’s place that day), Daddy quickly show her the 2 pigs and explain to her, one for her one for didi. She looks so excited. And Daddy thought her to slot in coins into the pigs. Instantly she learned the new trick and sat in our room for 30mins slotting in all the coins (Daddy’s loose change in a bowl). She even slot in some into didi’s piggy bank. Very generous of her :).

We’ve put both the pigs next to the cot, now everyday when she goes home…she will look for coins, if not Mommy will ask Daddy to give her some, or else Mommy will dig it out from the piggy and let her reinsert it into the piggy bank.

She enjoys doing this very much, but sometimes when it comes to the last coin, she will just hold on to it, refuse to put in. When she sees us pay the toll, she will also expect we give her some money for her piggy bank, by rubbing her fingers together (money sign). She will also ransack the lil basket that we have next to our washing machine, to check out if there are coins lying around (maid puts coins there whenever she finds them in Daddy’s pocket). Really money minded kid we have hahaha…..

For me, another way to keep Faythe occupied for a short timespan :)

It’s definitely not a weekend that I’ll look forward to. Received pre-warning during the weekdays and I was so not looking forward to the weekend. But then again, we got to get it fix before everything else goes cuckoo. So Mommy spent the whole weekend fixing the virus.
The 2 PC and 1 laptop @ home has been infected by virus. Some stupid worm. To make it worse, the anti-virus that we use (latest edition fr LYP) doesn’t seem to be able to clean it throughly. One of the PC in fact was so badly corrupted that the registry also disabled!!!
So the whole Saturday Mommy spent fixing the virus. Tweak the registry also doesn’t work, go into Safe Mode also doesn’t work. Driving me nuts. In the end took out the old version of anti-virus, install on all the machines, run the live-update (luckily successful) and scan all the viruses.

Scan result:
Laptop: 10000+ virus (same type, keep on reinfect the same files…duhh!!)
Mommy’s PC: 100+ virus (same type, keep on reinfect the same files…duhh!!)
Daddy’s Flight Sim PC: 500+ virus (same type, keep on reinfect the same files…duhh!!)

Everything was cleared, went into the registry and made sure the key is deleted as well. When to the scheduled task and made sure the worm task was cleaned as well. Finally it’s done. By Sunday, I was so lazy to do anything.
Since there was a virus cleanup, I also swap the machines around. Taking back the flight sim PC, which was on loan to Daddy for his simulator since he already passed his Airbus. Now I can do work faster. At least I don’t have to sit and stare at the screen when I’m photoshopping.
With all the virus fixing, we didn’t go anywhere, even skipped church. But Faythe has her own fun weekend in the shower. In the evening, we brought her to the park to walkaround on our way back from Kepong. She enjoyed it, but she was very sleepy too…so she didn’t manage to runaround, just walk about with Daddy while Mommy snap photos.
What a weekend, lets hope it won’t happen again. Looking forward to the long weekend this week. Must be more productive!!
