OK, this is crazy…but it’s really getting too much liao…

Last week, I heard from my colleague that two of our engineers (guy) were robbed while they were walking back from PBD (damansara govt office) to the office. Apparently, there’s this motor that came to them and tried to rob them (nothing to snatch so rob lorr)..And one of the guy kena whack with helmet…probably he resisted in giving in to the snatch thief. The other guy managed to escape, he ran to ALI MAJU (the famous mamak at PBD) and managed to get one of the team lead to help. The team lead sent the injured fella to hospital and lodge police report.

Today, just an hour ago, a colleague told me that another case happen just this week. But this one is very serious. Seems that the guy was beaten up pretty badly, now in ICU, internal bleeding. Wahliao..since when snatch thief has become road bullies too!!

Now for me, I walk everyday from that PBD parking (I park at PBD covered parking, below Ong Ka Ting’s office) to the office in the morning. The reason for me to walk:

  1. traffic is real bad, sometimes you walk is even faster
  2. can exercise at the same time mah…distance maybe about 100-200m

I carry 2 bags sometimes, 1 laptop bag, 1 milk bag. Both of them are backpacks, not sling ones. And to ensure I don’t get snatched, I’ll put my handbag into my laptop bag. So the chances of snatching is less..But looks liken other than snatching, they will rob and whack victims…sighh…like that how to go to work lehh…stress stress..

Gotta add this to the list of *why I need to work from home* and submit to my boss so that I can work from home more and avoid this kinda mishap on me

When all these happen, it is best to install surveillance camera.  Many of us don’t realize the benefits of surveillance cameras and other home security video cameras. When your home is protected by a surveillance camera system, you get this feeling of security knowing your home is secure

I woke up 1230am, fed Vyktore and put him back to sleep..Sigh..this boy dunno why pass few days wake up for night feed 2-3times :(. Anyways, we didn’t celebrate our anniversary as Daddy was flying Jakarta today.

So after getting up, I went to store the BM that will be transported to MIL’s house tomorrow. Then I did some blog hopping. Daddy came home about 1am+. Came upstairs and here’s what happened:

Daddy: Darling, you didn’t feed the dog ah?
Mommy: huh..*since when we have a dog*
Daddy: It’s downstairs lah, it’s so thirsty I gave him some water and he drank all..
Mommy: alamak, you sure or not, don’t bluff me wohhh *got excited*
Daddy: You go down and see

I was still quite concious about the dog cause Daddy always like to trick me and talk big, then when I go there he will laugh cause I terkena his trick *roll eyes*. I went downstairs and to my amaze, wahh…we really have a visitor!! This fella been coming to our house since Monday itself.

Monday: Came into the house cause we left the gate open (we parked the car back to back), we were shocked and when he left, we quickly went to repark the cars and closed the gate…phewww

Tuesday: Again he stood in front of our gate in the morning. I quickly took out my camera phone and snap photos while telling Faythe don’t go near, it might bite.

Wednesday: Again he came near to us when we were about to leave the house, but we didn’t bother bout him…

Thursday: PM asked me if he came…no ler..sudah cabut liao lorr

Today: Yes it’s here right in our house…

We concluded that he’s hungry, Daddy gave him some biscuits and he finished it off. So I went to get him more biscuits (jacob biscuit). He doesn’t seem to like it much though, there were some leftover crumbs on the floor.

Daddy pat him, he looks quite friendly err…but u never know lehh…I can’t read his mind for sure, so I dare not touch him. But we gave him 2 more slices of bread…ahh he loves it, finish it instantly.

And of course I took the opportunity to snap photos of it. It’s so beautiful rite and very tame I must say..but scared still. Daddy say later he *awooooo* hahaha…

Sorry lah, we got no more food liao..gotta keep the remaining bread for Daddy tomorrow.

Taken with my camera phone…notice his eyes, one white one normal black..why ehh..any idea? I was telling PM, maybe sudah cataracts liao?

see lah..this *wai sek* dog..stick his head into the house….

daddy patting him while I papparazzi him LOL

enjoying his supper hehe

I think he wants to swim with Faythe too hahaha…

Now Chinese always say, Dog come to your house means wealth is coming in. Hmm…what wealth huh, we don’t buy lottery one wohh!!

Daddy says if he comes again few more times, and during his off day, he’s gonna dognap it to MIL’s house…Alamak, don’t lerr…pity the owner. This dog is actually from our neighour (a few houses away). But not sure why it keep coming to our house lately. And I’m surprised that he’s actually running around freely at night!! C’mon lah, it’s a bloody Siberian Husky that cost more than RM1K!! I hope no one dognap him lah, or else poor thing. But if owner doesn’t want, I don’t mind keeping it hehe..to send to RSPCA is really a waste rite…

So what do you think? One more to the family OK ah? *roll eyes liao Mommy*

Today marks the 3rd year of our Chinese Traditional Wedding.

3 years has passed, life has changed so much.

3 years ago, I can still fit into the wedding gown
Today, I can’t fit into that anymore.

3 years ago, we only stay in a 2.5 rooms apartment
Today, we live in 2.5 storey house.

3 years ago, the family only consist of 2 of us
Today, we have a family of 4. (+ the pets, we’ve got a lot)

Now I wonder, 3 years later, where will we be…
Still in Malaysia?
Still staying the same house?
Still driving the same car?
But definitely still have only 2 kids :)

Lets us all pray for October 2006.
Love you to every bits, my Daddy.

Every morning on our way to MIL’s house, I have my little conversation with Vyktore. He sits in the car seat next to me, facing back. Faythe sits behind the driver seat and maid sits next to her.

Most of the time Vyktore is awake and very alert. He will look around and try to make you talk to him by cooing and looking at me. I will usually talk to him when traffic light is red or stuck in the traffic jam. This is how our conversation goes:

Mommy: Hello Vyktore boy. Good morning
Vyktore: Smiles…with a very hiau look. He will turn his head and pretend looking out at the window
Mommy: *Keep quiet*
Vyktore: *Turns back to look at Mommy* arrrooo..make some noise
Mommy: How are you? You so happy huh…
Vyktore Raise his eyebrow up and down (like *fong tin*) and give me a big grin
Mommy: Whoa…this fella so young already so pandai fong tin LOL *roll eyes*. I give him a big smile too and continue talking rubbish to him…
Vyktore: he turns his head pretend look outside again. Then turn back and repeats his stint for a couple of times

I told Daddy about his *fong tin* conversation with me, he laughed and say why his son so weird…Must be follow Daddy’s foot step lorr

Over the weekend, Daddy’s buddy and wifey had photoshoot for their wedding album. They were at the Taman Tun Rimba Kiara for their outdoor photography session. We being the KPC, armed with our point-shoot camera went to take photos too LOL.

Our gears:
Daddy: Canon A700
Mommy: Pentax Optio SV5

The park is a very nice place and very often couples go there for wedding photography session. The thumbs down of this place is it’s full of mossies!! Yes..loads of it!! I was there for like 5-10mins, already kena bitten on my arm and feet.

Here are some photos taken, by Daddy & Mommy. Which one better huh..we trying to outdo each other LOL. Daddy was there longer, so he had more shots, I was there later (I drop kids and maid at MIL’s house), so I only had limited shots.

2nd Movie Outing
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe, Scrapbooking | icon4 09 25th, 2006| icon319 Comments »

Faythe’s first movie was Monster House last month. She didn’t last the whole movie and slept halfway thru.

Last weekend, 17th Sept, we decided to bring her for 2nd movie outing. But this time, not animated movie nor cartoon. It’s THE BANQUET!! I was very worried how am I gonna keep her occupied since this is an adult movie.

The main objective was actually to take photo with her favourite cartoon character, the one eyed Monster!! We bought some food into the cinema. Then we scoot her over to the side of the cinema to have photo session. Was very worried that our camera get consficated. She was very scared to get near the huge replica of the monster and stood so still.

After that we proceeded to the theatre. She sat down quietly with Daddy watching all the commercials and beginning of the movie. Kept her occupied with some fish & chips and water. After a while, she started to get restless. She came to me and I carried her to sit with me. Then she wriggle after few minutes and went to sit with MIL. Then she wriggle again after that and went to sit with Daddy…aiyoo…

I was trying to keep her busy (she had eaten enough, she doesn’t want food anymore) by telling her what’s going on. e.g. see Uncle and Auntie fighting (fighting scene), Uncle want to kill Auntie (the actor attempt to kill the actress), see Auntie comb hair (the actress was combing her hair LOL) etc…

45minutes into the movie, she sat quietly on my lap and then I realised that she has doze off LOL…Probably it was too boring for her :). We enjoyed the moving till the end, and she slept throughout.

When the movie was over, she woke up, feeling so blur hahaha….

Next movie outing: Open Season (Cartoon) premiering in October

A Sick Week
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe, Scrapbooking, Vyktore | icon4 09 24th, 2006| icon321 Comments »

It’s definitely not a good week for Faythe and Mommy. Faythe had throat infection on Wednesday. Passed on from SIL/BIL (we suspect). A series of high fever as usual.

On Friday morning, she vomitted on our bed @ 5am!! I had to wake up and clean her up while Daddy took off the bedsheet to continue sleeping (DUHH)…She also pooed at the same time…lots of it and she refused to get changed!!! Aiyoo..in the end I had to force her down took off her diapers, clean her up.Her cough got worse. On Friday, she didn’t eat the whole day, just drink some water and sleep throughout. MIL brought her to paed on friday night (she stayed over at MIL’s) and the paed advised that we need to nebulise her. She had coop, not wheezing..It’s a sound made after coughing..goes like cough cough cough…ccooo….

At the same time, Vyktore is due for his jab (actually due 2 weeks, but didn’t go because he had fever) and he has mild eczema. So the whole family went to the paed. Faythe for her nebulizing session and Vyktore for her jab and eczema.

Faythe didn’t like to be nebulized, we ended up coaxing and treating her with 5-6 tablets of vitamin C to make sure she sit still throughout the whole session.

As for Vyktore, he was pretty jovial all the time until the needle poked him and he gave a loud scream followed by teary eyes.

Today, Faythe is much better. At least she’s back to her eating spree. She lost 200gms over the last few days. Vyktore, he’s now 6.2kg!!

Sep 22

After moving back to Kepong, my life changed tremendously. I became much happier and optimistic. I also began to accept the fact that I don’t have to lie about my Mom’s absence anymore. I’m more open to tell people about it now. Not that I want sympathy from people, but I’ve had enough of lies.

2 years went on, I completed my SPM. I didn’t do as well as PMR but the grades are more than enough to go for Form 6. I couldn’t decide if I should go for Form 6, as there wasn’t much subject in Uni which interest me. Bet you will be surprise if I tell you, my ambition is to be an archaelogist. My brother told me, archaelogist ah…in Malaysia what’s there to dig? Human bones got lah…

I felt pretty lost. Didn’t know what course I should take. And since Dad doesn’t have money to sponsor me for overseas studies, I opt just to go on working. I worked in a Quantity Surveyor Firm as Research Assistant. Most of my friends further their studies, either Form 6 or University. Either engineers or doctors. Yes, most of my classmates are top student in the school, so they either end up being an engineer or doctor.

After working for 2 years, I began to get bored.  I felt that I’m not moving anywhere. I can’t be a Research Assistant for life!! Started to look around. I’m not a mundane person, so things like secretary and accountancy is really out of my list. I can’t be engineer and doctor too..too poor in physics and biology. I hate physics!!

Somehow or rather, I ended up in IT after visiting this college in Damansara. The best was the payment was montly installment. This means I don’t need to take a hefty sum out. I told Dad that I wanted to further study. He supported it. I used the money that I’ve saved when i was working to pay for the initial payment. Dad promised that he will help me pay every month.

I was very happy to start college. Everything was so exciting. I even got myself a part time job as lab assistant in the college. That allowed me to earn some extra money. I don’t have to rely solely on Dad to provide me.

I completed my Diploma in a year time. I was all so excited to continue Higher Diploma. Furthermore, I was actually appointed as the head of lab assistant. That was when bad news came. Dad told me he can’t support me for my 2nd year. His business was badly hit. I was very upset. Upset not because he can’t support me, but why does this happen to me when I wanted to study so much. I couldn’t help but to accept that this is fact of life.

I went to look for a job. I was lucky enough, my ex-co which I worked as Research Assistant was hiring IT Support. With the help of the manager, I secured the job.

The pay was very little. Didn’t have any increment for more than 1 year. But I tell myself, this is just for experience. I worked there for about 2 years. Every month I work, I safe. Little by little, I managed to safe enough for me to continue my 2nd year.

I started my 2nd year as part time student. It was never easy to work and study at the same time. 3 days in a week have to attend night class. After class, 9pm, I take the bus home. At the same time, I changed job, got a job offer at Arthur Andersen. Since it’s a new job, I had to work double hard to proof to my boss that I am capable.

I completed my Higher Diploma after 1.5 years. In fact, I had pretty good results, 6 distinctions 3 credits. Even better than my Diploma results. I took a study break back then and some bad news hit the company. They announced bankrupt due to Enron and we merged with another accounting firm. At the same time, I got to know this person that brought many changes to my life. Mr. Hon.

Of course I didn’t continue studying for my final year. It’s a hefty sum of RM17K. Didn’t safe enough for that. But my intention to study never dies.

Like I mentioned, Daddy came into my life when there were ups and downs. With him I discover more about life. The good things that can happen in life. The many things which I never had a chance to enjoy when I was a teenage, I now have. I begin to see life in a different perspective. A positive way of seeing things instead of negative. From travelling with public bus, I bought myself a very old car (Daddy’s recommendation). Good enough for me to go to work and back home. All fully funded by myself.

1 years later, I left Arthur Andersen (6 months after merger) for my current company. I took the risk to switch from permanent employee to contract employee as I couldn’t bear the treatment I get in the post-merger company. It reminds me alot of my teenage life. The new boss treats us like step-employees. Yucks!!!

We got married the same year I changed job. A year later, was found pregnant with Faythe. Gave birth to this lil princess in January 2005. Her presence very much brought more changes in our life. We moved from condo to landed property (no space liao mah). We hired a domestic helper to look after her as well when we go to work (I send Faythe and maid to MIL’s house). 18 months later, Vyktore makes his presence in this world.

And there goes my 10 years of life in my 20s. Eh..I’m still in 20s OK, just the late 20s LOL.

Among the 5 of us, only 2 married (my elder step sis and myself).
Among the 5 of us, only 2 further studies (my step brother and myself)
Among the 5 of us, only 1 has children (myself)

And among the 5 of us, I think I’m still the luckiest one despite all the rough patches during my teens. At least I’ve got a good hubby (I hope), a great job in my company, a pair of beautiful kids and alot of wonderful things to look forward to.

Nope, I didn’t give birth to another baby :P. It all started like this:

Conversation a week ago:

Daddy: Mommy, guess what I saw today in the pet shop?
Mommy: Hmmm….*doesn’t sound like the usual pet he’s gonna get* I know what you want
Daddy: giggles…
Mommy: Aiyo, enough lahh
Daddy: It’ll be fun you know. Can let it crawl on Faythe. Next time go to school got one pet on the shoulder
Mommy: *roll eyes*

A week later…here’s what we’ve got…a baby tarantula. It’s not poisonous. Sting can only kill an ant (that’s what the petshop fella claim)

Colours
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Faythe, Scrapbooking | icon4 09 18th, 2006| icon318 Comments »

I’ve been contemplating if I should let Faythe play with water colour. She’s those type that loves to put stuff into her mouth. Daddy says that colouring should be left to MIL since MIL used to be art teacher. But for me, if wanna wait for MIL, it’s gonna take forever. She’s a super spanking clean lady which doesn’t like mess in her house. This means Faythe won’t have lots of fun.

I was reading this article last week, they suggest food colouring for kids. Ahahh…that’s something interesting. It’s definitely not poisonous and it’s edible LOL. So I went to this shop that sells all the bakery tools and bought a few bottles of colours (orange, blue, green, red). Each bottle cost about RM1.50.

During the weekend, I spread out a piece of paper for her, put on some colours on the palette and showed her how to paint. Being first timer, she mixed up the colours. So instead of red and blue, we had purple!! She enjoyed cleaning the brush in the jar of water more than painting.

And she being our *siu che* when she accidentally drip some paint on the floor, she request me to wipe. When she saw her hands all full of paint, she kept showing it to me ask me to wipe.

Shall have more of these fun painting session during the weekends.
