Wishing all bloggers Merry X’mas & Happy New Year. Will be taking a blog break and be back next year.

Dec 20

OK, when you see the title, I’m sure you know what I mean…Vyktore been sick 3 times this month itself :(. I don’t know whether to feel bad, to feel sorry for him OR just accept the fact that it’s a sick season.

First it was viral fever. After he recovered, he had diarrhea…after that it was viral fever again. Last Sunday, his fever went up to 40.1 degrees!! I blame it on myself, I was so tired when I put Faythe to sleep. I doze off forgotten bout Vyktore. He was OK when I put him to sleep, slight feverish and we’ve already given him medicine. So I thought he’s sleeping soundly. I woke up at 2am (maybe it’s mother insticnt). Went to check Vyktore. OMG, he was sleeping on his tummy and like has difficulty to breath. When I picked him, I could feel his body was so so hot (like burning). I got panic (Daddy not home yet from his flight), I quickly tried to wake Vyktore up, but he seems so tired n sleepy. Panic again, I strip him and put him under shower, just to make sure he wakes up (see what this crazy Mom do when the son is having fever). When I took off his clothes, I even notice his birdie was black!! And his face was so pale. I thought I was about to loose him. Anyway, I put him in the shower, he cried and stared at me.

After that I wrap him with towel, tried to BF him..he just latch but didn’t suck much, fever was still up. Aiyo..I’m so worried about my boy, I ran downstairs to get suppository but there’s no more!! Arghh…I just keep sponging him. Then Daddy came back. But no help lah, he just try to calm me down.

At about 3am+, his fever started to subside after all the sponging. We managed to give him some paracetamol as well. I held him to sleep making sure that I will not repeat the same mistake again.

On Monday, he’s again having high fever on and off. Michelle gave me a link how to sponge the kid when they had high fever, I did just that (look at the pic) to cool him down. It works very fast, faster than koolfever. He’s feeling better now, at least no more high fever, I guess he has defeated the virus. I hope & pray that this will be the last of the month, it’s really not fare for him to suffer so much, 3 times in a month..very very stress for him.

As a result of this, he’s also very manja, especially with me!! Whenever he sees me, he will whine like asking for pitiness. We also found out sometimes while he’s crying, he will go maaaa…cry…cry..maaaa….cry cry…is he calling me or what huh?

Langkawi 2006
icon1 jazzmint | icon2 Travelogue | icon4 12 17th, 2006| icon323 Comments »

Hhmm…seems like langkawi is our destination of the year!! We’ve been going there 2 years back to back. Last year more for holiday. This year for holiday + wedding. Yup, we attended a beach wedding. Very romantic. Here’s the trip in long (lots of pics).

We didn’t bring Vyktore boy, only Faythe since we can’t handle 2 kids. We took the bus from KL Sentral to LCCT. Faythe enjoying her breakfast, while Daddy going thru the speech he’s gonna give. Third pic shows Faythe in LCCT, while waiting for the ticket to be ready. We paid a total of RM160 for 3 person 1 way, cheap ehh…And guess what, I actually left my milk storage bag in the bus!!! OMG, I ran like a mad woman back to the bus stop, thank god it was still there and the workers were opening it trying to find the address to send it back.

She instantly made friends with the 2 jie jie (bridesmaid & friend) while waiting to board the aircraft. She was all briefed about flight safety, and when the aircraft took off, she sat still and made sure the belt was put on. Last pic shows Daddy & Faythe in Langkawi airport.

We checked in at about 2pm+, Faythe was sleeping, but soon she was awake. Mommy and Daddy too tired, I slept in the sofa in our apartment while Faythe jumping around constantly climbing next to me asking me, “Mommy, OK?”…grrr…We went to the beach where the wedding supposed to be in the evening to get a feel of the beach. The last time we took her there, she didn’t like it, now she loves it so much. She even asked me to walk her from one end of the beach to the other end…exhausted liao Mommy.

Sunset at the beach…ahh so beautiful. 2nd pic is where the hotel is. Casa del Mar. Nice place and the beach is very long and clean..very fine. Daddy and the rest were doing rehearsal, while Mommy and Faythe exploring the beach. We went for dinner later on.

Next day, we went to the Marina near the Cable Car, wanted to have breakfast there, but only shop opened was Mamak!! Anyway, no harm having some roti canai. I love the Marina with all the yacht parking there..beautiful sight.

We then went home and took a nap before head for the beach wedding. Suppose to start at 4pm, but we arrived at 430pm, bride was still busy preparing. I took some oppotunities to snap some pics. The bouquet of roses, the flower petals and flower cones (Faythe suppose to distribute the cones) & the bride’s shoes.

Faythe caught the attention of the bride’s Mom. One of the bridesmaid…is she gonna cry or what eh?? Daddy giving me that where-should-I-pin-the-corsage-LOOK.

Groom getting ready (asking me if the position was ok). Drinks served before the wedding commence. Pretty nails of the bride. It has real mini flowers stuck on it..lovely!!

The bride, so pretty. Love her dress too. Faythe with the bride. 3 bridesmaid getting themselves ready (hogging the mirror LOL)

Groom chilling out with Faythe :). Wearing necklace for each other.

Faythe, the center of attraction. Everyone wanted to take picture with her LOL. And she wasn’t too co-operative :(. That was the pic of the groom’s parents. 2nd pic, bride’s Mom & elder brother.

Wedding started, right at the beach…scorching hot!! Pauline reading a verse from the bible. Granny (too hot), gotta use fan to block the eyes. Groom’s parents, so happy at last their son is getting married :).

Meanwhile, when everyone was paying attention to the ceremony, our lil girl couldn’t sit still. One moment she sat there quietly. Next, she made some noise. And then, she started walking around, throwing all the flower petals from the leftover cones.

Coconut tree and the beautiful beach. Bride and groom..so serious!!. Bride looking so happy.

The bridesmaid & flower girl. The ceremony itself.

After the ceremony, it’s time for tossing the flower!!! And guess who got the bouquet :P

One of the guest talking on the handphone. Happy moments. Nehh..this lady got the flower lorr hahaha…look she’s so so happy!!

Details of the wedding gown from the back…the wedding cake…groom with the niece I think.

Bottom to top view of the bride (I love this pic). Faythe enjoying herself on the beach. Hugs and kisses of the newly wed.

Faythe with the cones..she distributed 90% of it before start of the wedding. We had dinner in lamanpadi (opposite the hotel). A very nice place, a restaurant set in the middle of padi field. Faythe, so tired, she only had 3 pieces of popiah..but enjoyed the fruits. The food Mommy had..it’s a buffet dinner, food was great..I was so hungry LOL.

We left quiet early (9pm+) cause we were all so tired and sticky & sweaty. The beach wedding was really romantic, but at the same time, so hot lahh…

Woke up early next morning and made our way to the waterfalls at Telaga Tujuh. Faythe managed to climb up the slope by herself…bravoo!!! We were all half dead by the time we reached the top…so so steep.

She didn’t like the water as it was too cold. So she took a quick dip, then decide to sit next to Mommy to snack. Look…2 man trying to show their bxtt!!!

We met up with Sandra and had lunch in Kuah town. Nice restaurant with simple food. Faythe taking pics with the lil monks. Mommy keeping her busy by drawign on some spoons for her to count LOL.

OK…we are done with Langkawi. Faythe so happy, trying on Mommy’s sunglasses. We’re in airport waiting for the tickets to be ready. Reached home at 9pm, all so tired.

Dec 15

This month marks 23 months of Faythe. Just 1 month short of 2 yrs old. Since 18 months onwards, you’ve shown tremendous improvement in your language capabilities. Mommy has no more worries on that. In fact sometimes you thrill us with all your language tricks. Mommy has alot of fun talking to you as well.

You are still constantly putting on weight every month without fail. This is what I really love about you. I never have to worry about your diet. Even on the month where you were sick twice, you still manage to maintain your weight. As for height, Mommy notice that some of your pants are getting shorter, but you are still around the range of 85cm. Now I wonder will you be as tall as Mommy or a bit shorter like Daddy.

You are very good with your motor skills. I notice that you can wear shoes all by yourself. Patiently sitting down on the floor and putting on the shoes (sometimes still on the wrong side) and carefully strapping the velcro in place. I love to watch you doing that. I also love watching you wearing your pants. Now you can do it pretty fast. You can use fork very well and can even drink soup with your spoon, but hands are not that steady. But Mommy is very happy. This is because I can just give you some food and you will spend the whole hour while we are busy eating, you will be busy eating by yourself. Few nights ago, you again proved yourself to be very capable when you manage to put on socks by yourself, both the feet!! But it’s not put in correctly though (upside down hahaha)…You will improve on that, I believe. Time seems to fly. It seems like just yesterday I gave birth to this lil girl.

One year ago, I tuck you to sleep making sure that the blanket covers you properly.
Today, you know how to tuck yourself to sleep..pulling the blanket by yourself.

One year ago, you were just taking your first few wobbly steps.
Today, you can run pretty fast and even warn yourself to walk carefully so that you don’t fall.

One year ago, you only started eating rice with 6 teeth.
Today, you have a set of 14 pearly whites, ready to chomp down any food.

One year ago, you were only interested in chewing your books.
Today, you select the book you like and request Mommy to read to you every night. Lying by my side quietly for at least 30 mins.

Everyone is asking Mommy, how will you be celebrating Faythe’s birthday? Well, Mommy being the lazy one do not intend to throw a lavish party (since you didn’t really like that McD chicken mascot - excuses ahaha). So we will have a warm family party with a nice cake.

2yr old is also gonna be a special birthday because your god mother, Audrey, will be around. She was around the other time when you arrive to this world. When everyone was so amazed and mesmerised by your looks and beautiful locks. And now you are already turning 2.

I have not seen any of terrible 2 sign. Mommy is hoping that you will be a good girl and will not show much of terrible 2 except that when you are tired and sleepy. Then you have Mommy to blame for. For not having a proper schedule for you.

Sometimes Mommy feel very selfish. I wish that you will always be 2. Always be a manja girl to me of which I know someday you will grow up and will not be as close to me as now.

Mommy will always love you, Faythe. You will always be my baby.

Mommy feels so relieved that you adore and love Vyktore so well. You never show a single scent of jealousy in you. You are very protective indeed. You didn’t allow auntie Lin to carry the baby initially until Mommy told you it’s alright, auntie is taking care of didi.

Could it be due to the sense of protectiveness that you have over Vyktore that you started talking (so that you can voice your concerns when you do not like people to carry Vyktore :P)? Yes, you finally open your golden mouth. Mommy is just so delighted. It really doesn’t matter if you called Mah mee or not…What really matters is you have finally utter your first word. I guess the arrival of didi is also a blessing to you.

You enjoyed yourself very much sharing confinement food with Mommy too..You lil’ *wai sek mooi*. And you must have enjoyed yourself alot too when Mommy is around playing with you most of the time. But sometimes you do feel bored, I can see that. That is why grandma comes and pick you to her house for 3D2N stay. As grandma misses you a lot as well.

You turn 17 months just few days before the arrival of lil brother. Mommy is very busy preparing for didi’s arrival and hoping that:

You will love him as much as you love all of us.
You will share your toys n food with him when you grow up.
You will look after him when you are old enough.
You will shower him with hugs n kisses just like you do with Gabriel.
You will not hesitate to pass your old clothes for him to wear.
You will stand by him whenever one day comes when Mommy rotan him.

You are the big jie jie. The one that will look after didi and guide him to the right path. What you do, will be what he follows.

You sometimes seems to feel pressure. Mommy can see that from your eyes. Mommy can also see that you will be a good jie jie. One that loves the lil brother dearly.

My dear girl, you are now 16 months and you love playing with water so much. Mommy is feeling so heavy at this moment and finds it tough to carry you. But I do feel sorry for you and guilty for being pregnant, hence we allow you to co-sleep with us so that Mommy can still enjoy you being around. Daddy is not too happy though, because you like to kungfu kick both of us.

You are now more alert with your surroundings, but yet to talk. Sometimes I really wonder will you ever speak? What would be your first word. Partly because Mommy is so tired, we seldom have story book time, it’s usually good night, kiss kiss..that’s bout it. Sorry dear, but Mommy is really tired, and with all the office work, it’s really not helping much. I hope that during confinement, I will be able to spend more time with you.

Mommy is pregnant with di-di in the third trimester. You are getting more and more clingy to Mommy nowadays. You must be feeling the competition from no. 2. Mommy want to assure you that the one inside is a lil boy. So you will always be Mommy’s one and only princess.

You show love to your brother by kissing Mommy’s bulging tummy, but I don’t think you know who you are kissing at that very moment. Nevertheless, Mommy is very happy that you are doing so, perhaps these are early signs of sisterly love.

I’m still waiting anxiously for you to speak my dear. You can point things and express yourself pretty well, but your mouth just would not utter the word. Mommy is very worried is it that when you fell down and knocked your head twice when you were young resulting in slow speech development. If it really is, I only have myself to blame.

With every month passes by, Mommy is getting more and more huge. I really find it hard to carry you nowadays, but nevertheless your manja-ness just make me can’t resist that. I enjoy playing with you at home. You fill our home with so much joy and laughter. Especially when Daddy is not around, I like those Mommy & Faythe moment. You are now very creative as well…enjoys cooking with Mommy’s vegetables. Oh..how I wish I can be with you the whole day and watch you grow my girl…but you have yet to speak your first word. Mommy is very worried..when are you gonna speak my girl?
