When we say something which relates to animal, Vyktore likes to make sound or say the word like us. But sometimes we find it so funny cause he gives the wrong sound. The one which he can get most correct is Dog (ow ow), Lion (arggh…..arghh…-sounds like lion in pain LOL).
Cat (suppose to be meow) turns out to be pssst…pssstt…

Tiger (suppose to be graaaa…graaa) turns out to be oo…ooo…

Cow (suppose to be moo) turns out to be hmmm…hmmm…..
Comparing to Faythe, his language is really development from a baby language (not speaking correctly with missing pronunciation) then move to proper words which we could understand, of which so far we only understand a few. Faythe was in fact pretty amazing, she never spoke any baby language and she started human-understandable word when she starts talking.

Every child is definitely different.

So when Mr. Hon was back in KL, apart from keeping everyone on their toes with his demands (I want this cheque sent, I want this account closed, i want this car sold…endless), he also made sure he don’t rot in KL :P. He wants to travel out of town LOL.

Hence, we arranged a trip North, to Penang over the weekends. I think basically he misses the unhealthy yummy food we have. Well, I have to go, since I’m the driver ;). The kids of course, our maid and MIL as well. All pack into the MPV.

We left KL very early, stop over at Bidor for the famous Herbal Duck Noodles. Simply yummy!! I think the last time I had that was like 20 yrs ago with my Dad :|. Really brings back a lot of memory. We arrived Penang rather late as there was an accident on Penang Bridge. Checked in to Northam 29th Floor. Love the view from our room. And the kids can’t wait for their dip in the jacuzzi. We didn’t do much on 1st day, just laze around in hotel. Then evening, my brother whom is working in Penang, came over with Joni (his gf) and we went dinner at somewhere…can’t remember LOL.

We slept early the 1st night on the super king size bed…at least I had space to roll about since the bed was huge. Daddy suggest that we should get 1 for our house LOL…

The next day, we woke up early, everyone yawning and we went to have our breakfast @ Bangkok Lane (famous mee goreng). To tell you the truth, me being an idiot when it comes to food, everything is yummy haha…..So don’t ask me about the verdict and what’s the different within Mee Goreng Bangkok Lane & Mee Goreng at other place.

Then we drop MIL off at relative’s place and head over to Penang Hill for a ride up the Hill. The tram ride was rather slow…..and boy it was pretty stuffy. The weather was so so only and quite hazy. Couldn’t get a clear view of the whole Penang Island. Nevertheless, the wind was pretty strong and it was much better than in the tram itself.

We spent sometime walking part of the Penang Hill before we give up cause everyone was so hungry by then. So we went down and had lunch @ New Swatao Lane (correct or not bro?). Then we went back hotel and nap…no the kids didn’t nap, they nap in the car, I nap in hotel while my bro and gf entertain them hahaha…

Late evening, we brought the kids to beach @ Tanjung Bungah. Faythe of course enjoys herself most. So busy scooping and pouring sand. Vyktore took some time to warm up. At first he was screaming when we put him on the sand. But after a while, he started loving it and play by himself. Busy catching & stepping the waves LOL.

We went back for dinner ermm…can’t remember where again, but we ate some belacan fried chicken (nice), lin chee kang and somemore don’t know what food. Makan sajalah, forgot take pics also…

Next day was time to leave Penang. We check out at 12pm and left Penang after having lunch. Twas the short trip to Penang. Actually it’s all makan, what else eh :P.

Still trying to get used to the heavy lense and how it differs compared to my other 2 lenses. And silly me, I forgot to take out the CPL filter, hence the photos are darker especially when it’s indoor :|.

We have this age old mattress (like 2 yrs old) downstairs. It’s used for the kids to nap. And I find that it’s getting a bit wee too thin and there’s a lot of stains on it. Yucky!! Hence I’ve been surveying which mattress should I get as replacement..or maybe I just do away with it, since the kids are older now and I usually nap with them in my room. For their bed, we got them the memory foam mattress which I presume gonna last them at least until they are 5-6 yrs old.

Everyone been asking me what’s my vacation plan for this year. Gosh…we are only into the 3rd Month and so fast think of vacation?? Well, if you are going for luxury vacations, of course you can slowly plan out and book your hotel & accommodation at a much later date. But backpackers & free n’ easy goers like me, have to do it early!! Cause the earlier you book, the likelihood that you get cheaper rates for hotel & flights are more. I haven’t really thought about this year’s vacation, just wait for instruction from my travel-requestor and see how.

What do you know about diamonds? Well, of course they are woman’s best friend :). But do you know how it actually became woman’s best friend? There are so many precious & semi precious stones around the world, why diamond is the chosen one? I don’t know why, but probably it’s due to the fact that diamonds are stones which are pretty special compared to other stones which made it somewhat different from the rest.

Since ancient greek, Diamonds are considered treasures that are used to honour religious icons. The popularity rises even more when there were more demands, increased in supplies, improved cutting & polishing techniques and successful advertising campaigns. Diamonds are usually judged by 4Cs: Carat, Cut, Colour & Clarity.

1st C: Carat

this is how heavy the diamond is. The bigger the carat, means the bigger the size of the diamond and the heavier it is. Of course it will be more expensive :). Size as small as 0.4 carat might cause you about RM1-2K depending on the other 3Cs. Whereas at the size of 1 carat, which is quite big, it might cost you RM10K and above!!

2nd C: Cut

this is infact one of the most important point of the Diamond. They always look for the Ideal Cut Diamonds. The way it is cut will usually affect how the colour shines out of this piece of gemstone.

3rd C: Colour
you might think that Diamond there’s only 1 colour. But no, that’s not so true. They occur from any colour though mainly they are yellow or brown. Black diamond is not totally black, but rather contain numerous dark inclusions that give the gems their dark appearance. Colored diamonds contain impurities or structural defects that cause the coloration, while pure or nearly pure diamonds are transparent and colorless. In October 2007 a blue diamond fetched nearly $8 million. The blue hue was a result of trace amounts of boron in the stone’s crystal structure.

4th C: Clarity

Need me to say more? How clear it is when you look thru the diamond…that will surely affect the price of your diamond.

I think father always prefer girl over boy. Don’t you mommies out there agree with me? I mean those who has girl will notice that. If you don’t have then probably you don’t notice. Or is it Daddy always favours the eldest? I know my Dad does…he spoils my brother like anything. But I know my dad prefers boy over girl (he’s the weird one LOL).

Why I say Daddy prefers girl is:

• She’s the one that very good in sweet talking Daddy…
• She’s the one Daddy would bring to Cinema…
• She’s the one that con Daddy to buy things after watching movie…..
• She’s the one that made Daddy FFK me to watch Golden Compass…..
• She’s the one that watched Golden Compass twice (one time with me)…

Grrr…lucky she’s my daugther, if not I’m sure I’ll be so jealous. I receive this sms from my hubby, “I’m going to watch movie with leng lui…..golden compass”. And I was already fuming…..then he wrote…a 3yo leng lui…”

And after the movie, he wrote to me “I got conned”…hahaha.I can’t help but laugh. Faythe made him to buy her a golden compass after the movie.

He never brings Vyktore out alone…maybe he’s still young. But Faythe is really the lucky one. Since 18 months he brings him out alone on many occasions. She’s been watching alot movies with Daddy on his off day. He even went to Genting with her (and MIL & maid) last time when I was working (I didn’t like Genting as well haha). See…I keep telling him he favours Faythe, but he say no…so do you think I favour Vyktore more?

I consider myself very lucky because my motor insurance is 101% very reliable. Before the due date, she will call me to remind, fax me the quotation and get all the paper work ready. Once I give her green light, she’ll proceed and get it done. Hence I’ve never missed my motor insurance payment. But if you don’t have a reliable agent like mine, I think it’s best to get your services via online auto insurance. At least they are more reliable. At the same time saves you all the time and effort running around to get it done.

The kitchen faucets are leaking like nobody business!!! The plumber that came the other day did a very shoddy job. I wonder how did Daddy let him off like that sigh…..Or is that the faucet problem? Probably he bought some cheapskate faucet which are really poor fittings. Sigh…I think next round must ask get a better plumber, probably he will recommend Hansgrohe faucets which is longer lasting.

Have you heard of home products known as Schlage? Hmm..well, it doesn’t sound very alien to me at least. I’ve seen this brand somewhere in the advertisements. What do they do? Door knobs mostly :). Talking bout that, reminds me that I might need to change my door knobs for the whole house cause we can’t seem to find the master key for most of the knobs :|.
