Another preggy photoshoot. This round it’s for a famous blogger, Chin Nee. She’s pregnant with twins. And seriously, she don’t look like having twins at all!! I think she looks much smaller than me when I was pregnant with Faythe. I was like a beach whale LOL.

We had great fun shooting as Chin Nee was very hardworking, she printed out those shots she wanted, bought some sheer cloth so that we can play with artistic shooting. Chin Nee’s hubby was very co-operative too, he also tried to pose and it made the shooting even more fun.

We started shooting by the swimming pool, then the park. Then we went back to her house for indoor shooting. And we ended the shooting in the bathroom hahaha…

Lesssons learned:

  1. do not ever bring kids along for photoshoot - yes…especially if you have 2!! And if that couple has another kid, that’s it. They would rather play than to co-operate with the shooting.
  2. getting children to co-operate really takes alot of effort.
  3. Objects behind - again, I didn’t clear the objects. Some of the shots, I actually had to photoshop the object off :|.
  4. Bright background with some flash can really spice your photos up :).

HERE are some of the photos, approved by Chin Nee I can post hehe….I bet you’ve seen it on her website as well.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I did a Marathon Photoshoot. Well, of course I’m not official photographer LOL. I’m just ermm…the street side photographer haha….

Frank, my marathon runner friend, asked me to take his photo. So I told him, I’ll try, if I can wake up. It was very convenient, as part of the marathon route passes by my housing area. All I need is to drive out and park by the roadside, setup my gears and I could start shooting.

So I went….and I took plenty of shots. Believe me it’s like 500!! But went home and process…I deleted 1/2 of it. So many blur shots :|. Seriously, sports is not something easy to shoot as it involves movement. Most of the shots were out of focus. Hmm…maybe I should change my setting next time.

Obviously I didn’t do any homework before that, I just went to shoot for fun haha….so that’s why so many pics came out crappy. Even Frank’s pic was blur *shake head*. But lucky thing, Andrew’s pic was great….probably cause he was running slow haha….oops….

Anyway, that was a great experience, I’ll probably do that again next year when they have this organised again.

Some of the photos that can see people one are loaded HERE.

Few weeks ago, I did a photoshoot for a family friend. Nope, it’s not wedding. It’s pregnancy photoshoot. Something new :). Being 1st timer, I did some research on the internet to get ideas what pose I want, etc. Here are some of the photos taken. Sorry, no album this round as some of the shots are not for public viewing hehe…

Lesson Learnt:

  1. don’t be afraid to direct the couple how to pose. Many times I just don’t know how to tell them to pose and since they are not models, it’s not easy to achieve what I imagined.
  2. clear the objects behind.
  3. use flash. I was too skeptical to use it.
  4. Must try to shoot with 50mm f1.8. I used my new lense to shoot all these shots, and I didn’t quite like the noise it created when low light. Common problem with Tamron :(.

Teenage life is one that is full of challenges. Not only that they are a budding group of people waiting to show off their talents, rebellious. They also have to battle with acne issues :|. I still remember when I was a teenage, acne wasn’t much of a problem to me. But for some of my friends, they seriously looks like they need some acne treatments. Imagine at such young age, where are they to find extra money for all those treatment…gosh….and by the time they have the money, their face is sort of damaged…

My hubby is a teak lover. We bought quite a fair bit of teak furniture the last round we went furniture shopping. But due to the climate here, I prefer not to get teak. As fungus can grow on them :|. Apart from them, I’m pretty OK with teak furniture. They are not bulky, unlike leather. And they are quite airy, compared to leather which is so hot.

It’s very heartwarming when you see both your kids hug each other. Vyktore used to hate it whenever Faythe hugs him, but of late he’s develop this passion of hugging us in the family. He will actually go and hug Faythe when we ask him to do so. If it’s adults like us, he will hug and lie his head on our shoulder (pretend to be manja).

But the funny thing is whenever he hugs Faythe, he will accidentally push Faythe to sit down and they end up piling on each other. I think he’s getting a bit too heavy for Faythe. Which explains why Faythe refused to be hug by him sometimes LOL.

Sometime ago, I bought this trolley for the kids to play. Faythe was a bit too tall for that, so after sometime, she didn’t quite like it and left it to Vyktore. Vyktore was jolly well pushing it up and down the house. I guess it’s the first time for him, cause most of the time he’s the one sitting in the trolley.

It was so funny cause he imitate what we do when we go shopping. He will stop by everywhere along the way, then he picks up the things (from the floor/table/box), then he continues pushing.

He even tried to put a teddy bear which was bigger than his own size onto the trolley LOL…but failed.

Then he tried to push the trolley up the stairs, but he couldn’t do it.

So after much frustration, he finally tried to sit on it…and probably wanted me to push…but the whole trolley collapse when he tried to sit on it haha…..

Bee Game

Faythe received this toy from her birthday and I thought this is quite a good toy from ELC. Since we’ve watched Bee Movie, she seem to have a *good feel* over the Bee. When she got this as present she was all so excited.

I like this bee game too. It comes with a tree bark with a hole at the bottom, the hive, a handful of bees (like 30+) and leaves stick. What you suppose to do is poke all the leaves into the hive from one side to the other. Then you pour all the bees from the top and the leaves will hold it.

Then we do the spinning of the bark and each one takes turn to take out the leave. And each time the bees drop from the hive to the bottom of the bark, we will collect it. Then each player at the end of the day will count each of them has how many bees. The person with least/most bees will win. This is a great game esp. for children, they can learn to count, not only the bees, but also the leaves.

This very much reminds me of those colourful sticks we used to play (forgot what’s the name). Then we suppose to move the stick without touching the others, and the person that ends with most sticks wins.

> Move to NYC <

Company relocation again!! Someone applied for a job in NY office and he got it…whoa so lucky rite. I wish I can do that too..but I don’t think I want to go to NY, it’s just too far from home. Probably somewhere down south would be better. Not too far from home.

So we are planning for a farewell for this friend of mine. Lets hope he will settle down quickly there. And then he can bring his family over later on. He definitely need to plan his relocation and get a good mover NYC.
