The Year of 2008…

The year of 2008 has certainly left alot of memories for the Hon family.

Jan - Daddy change his job. It was tough in the beginning, but as 2008 comes to the end, I must admit that we are used to the arrangement and getting into our comfort zone.

Feb - I celebrate my 30th birthday with a surprise gift from Daddy. He’s ever so thoughtful (whenever he remembers).

Mar - Participated in Badminton Tournament after not playing this sports for 4 years.

Apr - Started doing pregnancy photoshoot.

May - Did our very 1st newborn photoshoot.

Jun - Kids started school.

July - Extremely busy month for the family with Daddy’s PPN Installation, Travelling to Cameron Highlands & Vietnam.

Aug - Went to Australia for the 1st time, had back to back newborn photoshoot. Survived without a maid for 2 months.

Sept - recovering from travel bug.

Oct - made a bold move and tender my resignation. Looking back now, I’m really glad I made the move, not because of the $$, but it’s pure job satisfaction.

Nov - Hit by travel bug again…

Dec - Started my sideline income finally, got robbed, house nearly burn down (next post coming), invested a new camera (next post coming)…I think Dec must be the highlight of the year, with so many things happened back to back.

Seriously…I can’t imagine so much has happened and had I not kept a blog, I would have forgotten what has happened for the pass 1 yr.

Good bye 2008. I certainly won’t hope that the bad luck gets carried into 2009. May 2009 be a better year, for me, for Daddy & everyone in the family (and all of you out there).

Ever since the break in, we’ve lost alot of valuable items at home, inclusive of our watches. Daddy is pretty sad cause he had like 5 watches, only 1 left LOL. Same goes for myself. I guess it’s time for him to get a new watch for his coming birthday. He’s a sporty person, maybe Oakley watches would suit him.

I’m a Pomegranate fruit lover. I recall when I was young, as young as 5 yrs old, my Mom used to bring us to my nanny’s house. And boy, she has this huge Pomegranate trees smack right in front of her house. Mommy will usually bring some of the fruits home and we will sit down and enjoy the yummilicious fruit.

My dad owns a couple of trucks. I still remember when I was young, back then he didn’t have a truck license. And he really dread when the day came where he had to get his truck license. So did he went for classes in the truck driving school? Obviously not. For all the experience he had, he just went and took the exam. And of course he passed with flying colours ;)

Do you need to get insurance for your children? I always think that it might not be necessary but I sure did change my mind after recent happening to the house. It’s really a big saviour having been insured. But most of the insurance agent is pretty aggressive. I wish there’s one website that could offer free term life insurance quote which I could do comparison.

Printing Photos

As a professional photographer, printing photos is a norm. But I realise that I don’t usually print photos in hard copy. I guess the main reason for that is that it’s troublesome. I just can’t decide which shop would give a better result. Which shop would charge cheaper. Which shop is more convenient for me. There’s just too many questions in mind.

But when I heard about EOE Online, I couldn’t resist but to send in my 50 copies of photos for printing. It’s such a breeze. Just select the photos, upload them and go thru the shopping cart. Now I can’t wait for them to be printed and sent to me. Fingers crossed.

School is starting soon. Have you got ttextbooks, stationery for your children? I still remember that I used to be so excited going to school bookshop to buy new books & stationery. After getting the books, I’d sit down and wrap them nicely. Then will go thru the books, write my name on it and put them in the bag and try carrying it around, LOL. Those were the days.

With Christmas, New Year & Chinese New Year coming for the coming month, it’s no wonder most of the ladies out there might be putting on extra kilos. So probably all the ladies would be busy trying to loose weight after that. But don’t just get any weight loss pill off the shelf, as we don’t know if it’s really gonna work on you.
