I notice that I’ve not been blogging bout the kids individually for like ages!!! Thanks to the workload I’ve got at offce & home :(. Not forgetting all those travelling post and what nots.

Vyktore is turning 3 in June and we’re planning for a big celebration (to be fair since Faythe had a big celebration when she turned 3 last year). So what has this little boy been up to?

Speech wise, he’s still very very far from his peers but he’s certainly getting there. He’s been picking up alot of single phrase words and repeating every word of each sentence that we speak to him. Am I worried, YES, definitely!! At certain point of time I wander if he’s autistic or having learning disabilities? But sometimes when I watch him play and learn, I doubt he is.

He’s also starting to string 2 words together, but it’s really funny cause he has a long pause in between 2 words. e.g.

red………car…….

baby……two…… (he can count 2, last week Chin Nee came over with the bumbo boys and Vyktore said baby….two)

dog…tah(touch)….

Most of the time he doesn’t speak clearly, but I’m trying very hard to catch what he speaks as some of the alphas he’s still not able to pronounce, e.g. F, S, Y.

Lately, he has changed from calling me Meh to Mie. And the other day when he say a plane, he said, Da…di….(too bad Daddy not around).

His world revolves around: CARS, TAIN(TRAINS), COP(HELICOPTER), PANE (PLANE), BOT (ROBOT). Those are what boys made off right ;).

Attitude wise, he’s pretty easy to deal with (probably cause his speech is not that advance yet) and easily contemplated with just his toys.

Oh and he now loves the stroller. Each time we bring the stroller out, he will fight with Faythe to sit on it. I figure that probably because the stroller gives him an experience like sitting on the car :P.

Eating wise, he’s doing very well in this area. He’s the rice boy!! Never go without rice for even a day. He hates western food except macaroni cooked with Chinese boiled soup (typical Chinaman eh). He’s now same weight as Faythe *roll eyes* and I’m pretty sure he will surpass the not-so-big Faythe very soon.

Going to school been easier nowadays as he has started to enjoy himself more.

Oopss..did I just turn this into a monthly update post…I’mafraid I just did. I’m really loving and enjoying every bit of him. He gives me less headache compared to Faythe for sure!!

There are just too many weight loss products in the market sometimes you get confused how they actually work for your body. I’m sure consumers out there too are quite blinded by the fact that there are just too many to select from and we don’t know which one works best. I always believe that we have to be extra careful with what we consume. After all it’s our body. Even if we want to go on diet, make sure those ingredients going into the body doesn’t have any side effects.

Do I really need to take more diet pills? These are the questions often asked after months of going on diet and still not showing sign of reduction on those piles on the body. Well, I think if your body is meant to be fat, then so be it. Those pills is not gonna help you shed more than what you should. Just be happy with those lil extras. Like hubby says, you’ve got more to love when you are fatter. That’s so comforting rite :)

The other day when I went for my medical checkup, I was rather delighted to discover that my cholesterol level has gone down. And later I found out that apparently it’s not due to diet (though I’ve stopped alot of high cholesterol food), but it’s more like cause I exercised quite a bit last year. Played extensive badminton game. Now that I’ve stopped totally, I’m thinking should I just get a treadmills at home and workout? I’m just worried it’s gonna turn into a white elephant later on.

Our house burglary insurance is going to expire soon. Last week the agent called me to speak to me about the possibility of not getting renewal since they paid off a great sum to us due to the break in. So I wrote an appeal letter in hope that they will continue to insure us. If not, I think I will have to start scrambling for new insurance agent to get other insurance rates for our house coverage.

I remember when I was in school, I used to eat like a whale!! Probably due to growth I’m not sure, I eat a mountain full of rice and yet still not able to gain weight. I’ve got such big appetite that I thought I’d need appetite suppressant someday to make sure I’m within control. But as I grow old, my appetite starts to dwindle as well.

During economy downturn, everyone tightens their belt. From the rich right down to the poor. Nowadays if you go to the mall, you will notice there are more parkings, less people in the mall. You might also notice there are less people buying things, but most of them are just window shopping and enjoying all the free-aircond at the malls. Even during sale, people will spend wisely and sparingly unlike those days where people splurge more easily.

This year, we’ve finally paid off our time share. So for the next 30 years we will be enjoying free accommodation yearly to all those time share locations. I wouldn’t say they are great, but I’m sure the kids would enjoy these during their teens where they can go there and bump with their friends. Affordable for teenagers :). With such good offer, who would need a booking at Riviera hotel eh.

I’ve been working on so many mini project (as in trying to beautify and sort out the house), this is finally 1 that has completed thus far.

Yeah!! After 4 years, we’ve managed to move them out of our room into their own room for now. Since both of them are just 4 & turning 3, we thought it’s best to keep them in same room for now till Vyktore is much older then we can move him to his own room.

It started with sawing of the bunk bed which we got last year which we didn’t quite successfully moved them out from our bed cause they will crawl to our king size bed every night without fail!! So we decided it’s time already. We were supposed to get some help from Chanel’s Hubby to help saw the bed, but Daddy last minute decided to do it himself, with the help of maids of course.

Over 2 days, we managed to transform that room into a kids room. Now all their toys are in the room, most of which are stored in ikea shelfs. Also have a book shelf for their books, a table for Faythe to do work, and 2 carpets. Notice all those tables, cabinets and stuff, those things we shifted out and clear the whole room. I’ll post more photos later when I have chance to take them, or once my Mini Project 2 is ready ;).

How did they transition?

Well, right after we moved them, 1st thing is the bedsheet!! We changed Vyktore’s bedsheet to Wall-E (got it from Akemiuichi for 70%). Then Faythe had her bedsheet changed too, to the one with Disney Princess (from Tesco). The kids were thrilled with the bedsheet, especially Vyktore LOL. And because we saw the bed in such a way that one is higher than the other, they had loads of fun climbing up and down.

So far, it’s been almost 2 weeks they sleep in their own room. Faythe is still scared and wants me to sleep with her. So I usually sleep in and sometimes I sleep there till next morning :|. But Vyktore, to my surprise, he adapted really well. There were even nights when he slept there alone since Faythe overnite at MIL’s place.

There was only 1 night so far that they both woke up crying and walking to the shared bathroom instead to our room LOL, cause we kept the bathroom lights on in case Faythe wants to go toilet.

Now we are so glad to have our room back all by ourselves. But at times I feel so empty. We still have this golden rule, once a while they can come over and bump in to our King Size bed. I’m so gonna miss those moment, but I’m really glad that I get 1/2 the bed back, not the 1/4 I’ve been having for the pass 4 yrs. That ends my backache problem :P.

In the previous post, I mentioned that we booked lunch @ a Japanese Restaurant. Actually we’ve wanted to go to Umaiya Japanese Restaurant during my birthday back in February, but it was fully booked :(. Hence we postponed it till this round. Good thing it was not fully booked.

Why I booked this place, I’ve heard so much bout it from my dearest colleague that I must go try myself someday. Moreover it’s just 10mins drive from home :).

There are actually 2 Umaiya Japanese Restaurant, 1 in Damansara Perdana, 1 in Damansara Uptown. I booked the one at Uptown.

We were there at 1130am, 2 adults & 2 kids. Yah..not a romantic lunch :P. The buffet starts from 1130-230pm.

Being 1st timer, we were actually unsure how the ordering go about. What I liked about this buffet is it’s ala carte, and they only prepare the food when you order. So it’s freshly made :). Nice right!!

We ordered so many sushi that we stuffed ourselves silly. And I must say all of them deserves two thumbs up. Even Daddy keeps saying it’s yummy kekeke..he seldom say this whenever we eat Japanese food. And because of that, we didn’t manage to order any grill fish, which I saw another table did. We only ordered the beef on the hot plate and boy that was delicious. I finished almost the whole plate :P.

Another thing to mention is the sashimi. Each qty you order comes in pairs of 2 pieces of thick sliced fish. So juicy, slurp slurp. We saw this table, they ordered a giant bowl of sashimi (mix of salmon, tuna & white fish). Giant as in like 30 pieces of each fish :|.

Oh not forgetting free flow of beer for beer lovers hehe…

As for the kids, we ordered Garlic Fried Rice for Vyktore. Faythe had Chawanmushi, some sushi, a whole bowl of edamame and or course macha ice cream for them.

Kids below 3 pays RM10 only, for kids above 3-12 pays half the price. Adult is charged at 45++.

I am sure I’m going back there again as the other day actually I haven’t finish eating, but cause the kids were turning the restaurant upside down and Daddy was already full, so we went off at 1pm.
