A minor surgery

Faythe underwent a minor surgery on Monday, 11 Jan 10.

She had a wart growing on her index finger and MIL brought her to the specialist last month. But since we were travelling, we didn’t arrange the surgery to be done in December. We also scheduled it when Daddy is around so that he can be there for his lil princess.

My nephew had plenty of warts removed the week before and it was a disaster in the OT. The medicine they gave to put him to sleep didn’t work and he almost turned the whole OT upside down.

As for Faythe, she’s really a brave girl. Few days before that, we’ve already told her that she’ll be going for the surgery and how the whole surgery would take place so that she’s well prepared.

We gave her the medicine to put her to sleep in the morning itself. And guess what, she knock off instantly.  I also applied some cream on her finger to numb it. But upon arriving the Hosp (Sime Darby Specialist Centre Megah), she woke up.

trying to move around and sit up but she’s spinning all over the place.

We put her on the bed, but she refused to sit still and try to move about. We had to calm her down as she was complaining why she can’t sit straight and she shook her head to get a better vision. She’s drowsy basically.

Thank god, Daddy downloaded the Meatball Cartoon in his iphone, so we put that on for her to watch.

The procedure was done at 10am as the doctor was late. It was pretty quick.

I went in with her while she was still watching the cartoon. We further numb the finger with ice before injecting some medicine on the finger. That was the only point she screamed and complained painful. But I distracted her and ask her to continue watching the cartoon.

Then the doctor took the laser and just laser..remove remove..laser..remove remove..that’s it. It happened less than 3 mins!! And we are out of the OT the next minute.

Got home and she already sat up and start watching TV like nothing happened. She’s sure a tough girl :).

I’ve been cutting down on my meal size recently no thanks to the weight I’ve been gaining for sleeping late and eating extras. Not much help so far, though my weight has stopped to pile on, but it’s not going down. With CNY coming soon, I think I need to quickly do a lipozene reviews to see if that would help recommend some weight lost product to me so that I can still fit into pretty dresses for the coming CNY.

After finishing SPM, I worked for a good 2 yrs before finally deciding what course to take for further studies. I did check out business administration degrees, which at that time is pretty popular especially for ladies. But needless to say, I never end up getting 1, cause I realised that it’s too general for me, and I need to do a Masters if I want to be different from the rest of the BA Holders. That’s certainly not something which I could afford at that time. So I ended up selecting IT instead of getting a business administration degrees. But now that I think back, sometimes I wish I have a BA, and just work as an admin. Easier job haha…but definitely not as good pay as what I earn now.

Vyktore has got eyebags under his eyes. Yeah, at the age of 3.5!! I suspect it’s inherited from Daddy. Though it’s not obvious, but when he laughs, we can see it very clearly. I still remember when he was first born, he used to have wrinkles on his forehead, just like an oldman LOL. I was really tempted to apply some anti wrinkle lotion on him but I didn’t. Luckily now it is no longer visible.

Guess what, my house’s curtain been torn into pieces no thanks to my kids, pretending to have bath time behind the curtains O.o. I actually went to get quotation for the curtains, but thinking of how my kids repeating their bath time ordeal behind my old curtains, I’m having second thoughts about getting curtains. Probably blinds are more suitable in this case.

I’m getting pretty frustrated these days with my internet, cause it’s just soo slow!! I used to be pretty happy with the speed, but of late it’s been getting slower. I’m not sure is it because of my PC, or it’s simply the network or the broadband (that’s not so broad). With speed like this, I wonder even if I get a KVM switch that’s gonna be helpful or not in resolving my issues.

I seriously can’t imagine how time flies. Could it be because of the amount of work in the office? It’s almost the end of the month now!! Sometimes whenever I have to work till so late, I dread it. How come the work seems endless sigh….with the load like this and eating in late, no wander I’m been putting on some weight. I definitely need to go do some exercise as I do not want to rely on any female fat burner to do the job.

My lil princess turns 5 this year. We didn’t have any mega celebration cause I’m so busy flying in and out the country, I almost didn’t have time to order a cake for her *gulp…guilty guilty guilty*.

I actually went to look at cakes on the day we board the plane to Vietnam, but I didn’t end up selecting 1 cause the one I wanted they can’t bake it cause of license issue…arghh..I got so fedup with that shop I walked out eventually.

Butter Cream icing with a Diamond Head (sugar paste) cake. The cake flavour is orange poppy seed. Love the cake.

So there I was in Vietnam for 11 days, and every night couldn’t sleep thinking how leh the cake. Not that I can bake like ZMM. Then suddenly it rings my bell..Swee San, whom I ordered Vyktore’s Thomas Train Cake. So I MSN her and told her my requirements.

My lil princess wants a princess cake. But she wants a cake with all the princess on it :|. Expensive taste memang!! But I manage to brainwash her to accept a Ben10 cake LOL and she was allowed to select only 1 monster from Ben10 (not all the 10 of course!!). And we have Diamond Head.

Faythe with 2 important man in her life: Godfather & Daddy. Psst..godfather is still available, any takers LOL.

There’s no big celebration of course, since we only came home on the 3rd Jan. So we booked a room in Super Tanker Restaurant in Damansara Kim, ordered some dishes and had the celebration there. In fact I was nursing a sore throat and flu at the same time. What a day man.

Faythe with MIL

She was very happy seeing the Ben10 Cake. While Vyktore was telling us he wants a cake too though it’s not his birthday O.o.

Here are some of the photos taken on that day. Happy Birthday Faythe. And may all your wishes come true. Mommy & Daddy love you.

This is what happens when I try to get 4 of them to take photo. Look at the 2 cousins & Vyktore. *Roll eyes*

Faythe blowing the candle. And she got some cream on her nose courtesy of Daddy haha. This her classic expression nowadays.

The cake…

Vyktore: He had 3 pieces of cake!! He just love cakes…Faythe only ate a lil bit. Look even his nose has cake haha

Sigh, sometimes I wonder when I’m ever gonna resolve the issue with my mom’s house. The lawyer that we hired to do the job never did his job and he’s sitting on the document for like ages…I wonder why does he have to take so long to do it. Just to get some paperwork done, don’t tell me I gotta hire a mesothelioma lawyer to get the job completed.

Have you ever heard of WGU (Westerner Governor University)? Well, it’s not just a university, but an online university where students that are engaged with them attend courses online instead of being present pyhsically at the lecture hall itself. Pretty interesting right. Well it definitely safe alot of travelling time from home to the university. I was actually browsing thru some of the online degree programs offered by them and I found something for myself as well. I wonder if I can get exemption since I have so much of working experience. Never did I thought I’d go back to study someday, though I don’t mind going thru that again someday.
