red eggs, pickled ginger….

Motherhood

It’s fullmoon for faythe today :)…..marking her birth of 1 month old and also the end of confinement….mix feelings of joy and worry. Joy for I no longer need to smell the scent of ginger…worry that I might not be able to cope taking care of faythe. Yet, I’ve spoken to a lot of mothers, and they’ve convinced me that it’s no big deal…Super MOM rite hehehe…..

So, it’s no more pregnant and end of confinement…lets see what are the things that I’ve learned, what I didn’t like and what I wished I had known….

Learned:

  1. must always get a damn good CL or else si peh jia lat…..terpengsan
  2. never try to be super hero and take care of baby when u just gave birth, it’s not as easy as people say
  3. when pregnant, don’t over eat…or else u got a lot of pounds to shed after that
  4. need to get more rest during confinement…..make sure u are treated like a queen..which I didn’t have that treatment
  5. never think that babies’ job are only eat & sleep…..as of 1 month, they aleady start playing with u 🙂
  6. Must always put cream or olive oil on your tummy during pregnancy…..it really helps
  7. Must wear socks & slippers at home during confinement
  8. giving birth wasn’t an uphill task…..but confinement is!!
  9. always prepare some formula milk @ home in case your milk don’t come in fast

Dislikes:

  1. the question that people keep asking, how come gave birth oredi still can see tummy one?? DUH..u try to gain 20kg over 9 months, see how much u can put off after 1 month…..see what results u get 😛
  2. eating ginger is good……but then again, u get sick of it…that’s why must have creative cooking CL hahaha
  3. Washing hair and having to blowdry it……blowdry is certainly a waste of time

Wished I known:

  1. need a bean bag to calm baby…still haven’t bought that 🙁
  2. packing to hospital was just a failure, need to redo the checklist
  3. how much baby eats a day…heheheh
