2006 Doggie Chinese New Year

Faythe

Mommy is too lazy to post 15 post for CNY, so shorten this with 1 post for 15 days…..with loads of photos :). Gong Xi Fa Chai.

Chinese New Year Eve

had reunion dinner @ Jade Inn Kota Damansara. Upon reaching home, we have guest, Auntie Sandra (came back from Langkawi) to visit us. After that Daddy’s friends came over for drinks and Faythe doze to wonderland.

Some photos of her roaming around the living room.We even change the lights at our garage to a red light…cool right!!! Got this @ Thai :).

Day 1

went to pai-lin with MIL and exchange angpaus among ourselves. Then went TOTO shop to distribute angpau to workers.

we head to church thereafter, then went to pick up my Dad (Faythe’s grandpa) and had lunch over at our place.
Daddy decide to visit the olk folks home and give angpau…Faythe was happily helping us distributing angpaus :).At night, we had dinner with Daddy’s friend, Uncle Marc, then we light up some fireworks & firecrackers….

Faythe was equally amazed @ the fireworks….

Day 2 – *Hoi Lin*

lazy day for everyone. Since Daddy is studying for exam, we had lunch at home. Mommy cooked vegetarian.
At night, Uncle York Gene & Auntie Jackie together with Michelle che-che came and we had steamboat dinner behind our house. After that, more drinking sessions for adults and more sleeping session for Faythe 🙂

Day 3 – No speaking bad words

quiet & lazy day for all…Faythe had massage session conducted by Daddy. She just loves it.
We had lunch with MIL over at Lau Hiong, Kepong. Yummy food and cheap too!!! Then we went Jusco Kepong for some window shopping.@ nite, Uncle Marc came over and went dinner @ Malacca Rest behind our house. Food thumbs down 😛

Day 4

Mommy expecting some ex-schoolmate over for gambling session. Hence she cooked up a feast on that day…macaroni with 2 choices of sauce :).Like 10 of the aunties came over, they gambled for 3 hours (in between & mahjong). They all left contended after the gambling session.

Dinner time, Uncle Poh Huat (daddy’s friend) and his lady friend came over and we had dinner over @ Hong Hing – delicious hokkien mee with pork soup.

Day 5

No photos or happenings…Faythe in slumber land for 4 hours whilst we *cook* Dark Angel series in Daddy’s study room. We went dinner with MIL & friends @ Tanker Restaurant Damansara Kim. 2nd bowl of sharksfin for me…slurpp…..Then we drop over at Uncle Selva’s place to visit his wife & Joshua, to pass Joshua his gifts from Daddy.

Day 6

Daddy needs to renew his flying license before he leaves for China for his simulator. So we took a drive to Putrajaya to get it done @ DCA (Department of Civil Aviation)
Faythe was asleep all the way there, this gives Mommy lots of opportunity to take shots of the beautiful architecture of Putrajaya while waiting for Daddy.
We then head for lunch over @ Sri Kembangan, then went home.
@ nite, Daddy came back late after his training and we had homemade wan tan mee for dinner

Day 7 – Everybody’s Birthday

After so many days of Chinese food, we finally turn over our heads to Western food for a change.

Went to 1utama and did some grocery shopping in the morning.

@ nite, Uncle George came over and Daddy cooked dinner for us…german sausages, mashed potato, ABC pasta soup, grilled pineapples, fried brocolli and prawns cooked in white wine!!!

Simply delicious 🙂

Day 8 – Mommy’s Chinese Birthday & Pai Tin Kong

Today is also Mommy’s Chinese Birthday!!!
Daddy went lunch with his colleagues while Faythe slept on the sofa when Mommy was watching some TVB series over the DVD and snapping photos.@ nite, as usual, it’s *pai tin kong* nite, so we went to Datuk Khoo’s house for buffet dinner (yearly event).

We reached home close to 12am, and the housing area was surrounded by fireworks. Both Mommy & Faythe stood watching by the window (left & right), so enjoyful :). Fireworks went on for pretty long, but Faythe was too tired & fell asleep, undisturbed by the sounds at all.

Day 9

Back to work for Mommy & everyone else. So it’s back to routine.Took this photo on Day 9 of CNY, Faythe in her purple frocks bought @ Summerset Bay. She looks so sweet in it

Day 10 – Day 12
Work, work, work as usual. Dinner @ home…..nothing much…

Day 13 – Dinner with office-mates

Work as usual. Had dinner @ Paris Restaurant SS2 with Mommy’s colleagues (all 7 of them). Food was so so…didn’t have gambling session over @ our house cause there were only 4 of them..what a shame!!!

Day 14 – Decanter Open House

We were invited for lunch @ Decanter, Damansara Heights. Organised by Tun Ling’s family. Daddy is pretty close friend to Uncle Hee Keat (one of Tun’s son). There were 5 lions performing lion dance. Amazing, what a sight!!!

Lunch was good too, with abundance of food & of course free flow of beer.

Even Datuk Ng Yen Yen came over to enjoy the food.

@ nite, we had dinner behind our house

Day 15 – Chap Goh Mei

Last day of CNY, as usual Daddy is busy with today cause he organise Chap Goh Mei for community in Kepong. This year he’s not the organiser, so a bit more free. He manage to get AirAsia to sponsor 6 tickets during Lucky Draw.

About 500 residents turn up…lion dance as well and Faythe enjoyed herself walking around the park and watching people throw oranges.

She even had the guts to touch the Lion Head :). The event ended at 10pm+, we all head to kepong for prawn mee @ Hoo Yee Kee.

That’s the synopsis of this year 2006 Chinese New Year. May year of Dog brings lots of luck to our family, our soon to arrive baby and to Daddy as well. All the best for his Airbus exam.
