Joke of the Day

Work

Today about 4:30pm, I received a mail in my office Inbox. The message reads:

“Colleagues, thanks for attending my grandmother’s funeral. I really appreciate that..bla bla bla”

The first thing when I saw I was like huh….grandmother’s funeral. I didn’t attend any funeral leh…

Next I check the mailing list see any of my colleagues are there…aiks…nobody I know one??

Then I check the email sign off of the sender…oooooo…….salah email LOL..it’s intended to another person, in Singapore, not KL, that has the same email as me, but surname is Choong, not Chong.

This is what happens to me every once in a while, I get mails from all over the place, asking:

  1. go do tendering, due date is bla bla – alamak…apa dateline…
  2. package sent, please receive – err…I never order barang lehh
  3. meeting invitation, very urgent somemore – aiyo..how to fly down to SG 😛

Well, at least I do my best and fwd to my *counterpart* in SG. And she also sometimes receive my emails haha….

This the problem when your company is too big..you can find same names all over the place.

  1. My colik also same case, got same name as him, but it’sa girl. So, if u type the name, it will be the same, just tat the location is diferent, AP and MY … lagi hard to differentiate …

  2. You case is small issue liao. Imagine mine.. same name, same surname, and she has left the company in 2005. She used to be based in Australia.

Since she’s a black belt holder, I always get mails to tell me to validate ppl’s project sent in for black belt certification.
I get her mails sent to me all the way from Syndey, the people there probably thought
she’s relocated, and hence all her mails were forwarded to me.
Worse, I get calls from her bank all the way from Sydney.. telling me it’s urgent I call back.
