My 2nd Helper

Scrapbooking Vyktore
(credits & details here)

I always want my kids to be involved in daily household chores. This is because I believe that training starts young. And we should not rely too much on the maid doing most of the work if the kids can do it themselves.

I’ve trained Faythe (pretty successful), since she’s 1+ (when she can walk). She throws her own diapers, puts the dirty laundry into the basket, passes the milk bottle to the maid to wash. She still do this now. She even gladly help Vyktore to do it when Vyktore was younger and still crawling.

Now it’s Vyktore’s turn to be trained. So far it’s quite successful, except that his instructions following is still not very clear. If you give him a piece of rubbish, he will happily throw it for you so long as he sees any wastebasket near him. But the funny thing is when we ask him to throw diapers, instead of going into the wastebasket, it goes into the laundry basket. Simply because the laundry basket comes first. And he’d still happily dump the diaper in there, and clap his hands (signing he completed the job successfully)…haha….

I hope soon he can be as good as Faythe, knowing boys are never as tidy as girls. Daddy is absolutely a bad role model to follow, and I seriously don’t want my kids leaving their clothes all over the floor or even sweet wrapper on the table (yes, Daddy does that!!!).
