Big Apple

OK more food review. I remember Angie wrote bout Big Apple Donut. It sure looks good. And I knew bout it when I passed by The Curve one day. I could no longer contain my desire, I headed to The Curve. Grab a box of 6 Donuts (You can only see 4 here, already chomped down 2 LOL). If you buy a box of 6 it’s cheaper. Usual price per piece is RM2.

My first bite, whoa…..it was so so so soft, so so so yummy!!! I love every bite of it. And I chomped down like 4 at 1 go together with my kids haha…Daddy is not a donut fan.

Looking at the pic, that’s the order:

  1. Brown with a dollop of yellow in the middle – that’s chocolate banana. Very nice, one of the signature donut.
  2. Yellow topping – that’s shaded Cheese on top. This is nice too, a bit of salty taste. I kept it in fridge, next day still taste as good :).
  3. White topping – that’s with vanilla filling inside. When you bite, there’s vanilla cream in it, the white topping is icing sugar. Feel very cold when you eat this.
  4. White with Chocolate topping – this my favourite!! the top is white chocolate (I think), then filling is peanut butter!! Slurps. This is the one I like best and also their best seller.

So what are you waiting, go grab your donuts today. This shop is located next to Eden at The Curve. If you are coming from the inside of the Curve, it’s where the Apartment (new rest, next to Italiannes) is…just walk along that lane, you can see it!!

  1. hehe…. nice lei… i went and bought another 6-pcs yesterday nite. gosh, i am going to turn into a… DONUT!!! but this time round, i only get 3 of each which i super like the most… the 101 Dalmatians and also the one with the peanut butter la.. (forgot the name liow)…. hehe..

  2. I can’t find it on my last visit to Curve. Will try what you recommend. Donut is the trend now cause my last visit to Singapore, we saw a very very long queue out one particular and guess what! DONUT shop.

  3. you described it so well until i can actually imagine tasting it. i’m thinking of buying it for my hub and kids (as an excuse)……and take a bite or two for my own sake hahaha…(i’m seriously plotting this ).

btw, i actually sent an email through your ‘contact me’ in this blog and i resent again this morning.

going to see my doc today (i’m a mess now with the flu- my nose is so sore from all the rubbing) and heading off to the Curve to get the donuts (i told you i’m so tempted – lol) and to get some supplies for Z&Z project.

  4. I’ve nvr eaten Big Apple donuts b4 but I’ve tried the one at the Pavillion (JC & Co or something?). That one’s really light n puffy too. Can eat 2 or 3 at 1 go. 🙂

  5. Is Big Apple nicer or J.Co nicer? I find J.CO doughnuts really sweet. Me not really a doughnut person, i prefer Beard Papa’s cream puff, yum! Eh, this post sounds like a paid post ler 😀

  6. I think that J.Co taste better wor… less oily…
This Big Apple, they deep fried their donuts but J.Co they baked their donuts.
Varieties wise, Big Apple has more localized flavor…

  7. yeaaaa good … i’m not a donut fan but became addicted to it like drugs after have my first bite … ahhaha .. and that’s donuts for me and the kids eversince. they love oreos best. we tried jc donuts last wkend .. too desperate .. not that great … too sweet and not as soft. that’s my view .. you can try it out .. they haf an outlet in sunway pyramid 2 opening in mid dec.
