Faythe is 34 Months!!

Faythe turns 34 months today. I was supposed to schedule this post last night, but I was soo tired I slept together with Vyktore. My used to be lil girl is almost gonna be 3 years old. Lately I’ve noticed that she’s getting taller and heavier too.

Vital Stats
Height: unknown, maybe around 90cm? She’s almost my waist level
Weight: 12.1kg
Teeth: Still got 4 to go to complete set
Dietary

She eats quite alot nowadays. Started eating supper too. Her supper ranges from heavy meals e.g. rice with dishes, hokkien mee (her fav!!) or biscuits with Milo. After meal, sometimes she can still eat 3/4 of a bun.

She’s not too keen with water or liquid, which explains why she gets nose bleed often. We are now most of the time force her to drink.

Development

I’ve really lost track on what’s the development of this 34 months old girl. Each day she amazes me with new things.

  • stubborn – I start to see more of this coming out from her, especially when she doesn’t get it her way. She will straighten her body like a log and say “No No”
  • manipulative – she’s really good at this. If you tell her something like “Daddy say can’t”, she will go tell Daddy, “Mommy say you say cannot”. So sometimes we have to pakat with each other and comm in Chinese so that she doesn’t know
  • two face – when she’s in good mood, she’s like an angel, but when she’s in bad mood, she’s like the devil…..the 2 faces can change within minutes 😐
  • language – she’s starting to use he/she/her/him, but all got mixed up most of the time.
  • doesn’t want to go home – yeah, this is one of her latest trick. She wants to sleep with MIL and refuse to follow me home almost every other day. This is probably cause in MIL’s house she’s queen, but not in my house.
  • she’s able to recite ABC and missing some alphabets here n there. Also begin to show interest in recognising some alphabets.
  • loves drawing – she’s able to draw big circles, some closely formed shape like heart, lines, uses a ruler
  • love hate relationship with Vyktore – she loves him dearly, but sometimes they do fight with toys (that’s normal lahh…)
  • attending Sunday school – she’s a regular there (whenever we go church). She enjoys the classes, learns to sing there as well. So far no problem at all for that 1.5 hours.

I have not started planning on her birthday, but it’s gonna be a family affair with a few friends. There are some upcoming changes in the family so I hope I still have time for her birthday preparation. I’ll be announcing the BIG CHANGES soon, with a protected post. Stay tuned!!

  1. Can’t you just wait for her to start singing those lovely children’s gospel songs?
    *starts singing*
“Jesus loves the little children…all the children of the world!”

  2. Hi, you have a nice blog and 2 lovely kids. Are you aware of your blog add is being published in Mother & Baby Magazine ( Nov’07 issue ). Do keep up the good work!

  3. Congratulations! …. I think!

Yeah, plenty of liquids is a must for kids; I guess everyone. I insist my little Caitlin (36 months this month!) at least sips some water after she wakes, from both afternoon and overnight sleeps.

I instill this when I bring her to go poop. Most times she complains that her poop is hard, “keras”, “ying (mandarin)”, depending on which language she prefers to tell me about her poop! That’s when I say she needs to eat more vege and drink more water to make things easier…

  4. what a big girl she is now…..
I know what you mean about the love-hate relationship with vyktore…ashley has the same kind of love-hate relationship towards aidan:)

  8. Oh, forgot to mention. What really worked for my girls when they don’t drink water is get them new tumblers and give them some cool water. Kids love cool water. Or maybe add a tinge of Ribena into the water. Or make Ribena or fruit juice popsicles – it contains lots of water!

  9. You make me quity, I haven’t found time to post my girl recent development too. Let me take some off her picture first, she is sick now…Headache.
