This quarter, we decide to go Paddy Field & Fishing Village for our department field trip. I think the photography club is doing pretty well, planning all the activities. And we see alot of regular faces which is great. Means we got photographer community :).
So off we head to Sekinchan. Philip and Yau actually went there 2 months ago to check out the place, and check when is harvest time, etc. Cause we don’t want to go there end up no paddy only cut paddy LOL.
The day is OK. The sky not blue enough, but at least it wasn’t raining. We arrived there probably close to 930am. And everyone started to shoot on their own pace. We were supposed to meet back for lunch at 1200pm.
Sun was getting a bit too hot and I found out that I look like a lobster when I reached home.
Then I also found the Irrigation System and took some photos, which turns out not bad too.
Between the walking path, there’s always a small water path thingy, that has lotus growing on it.
Do you see that tall grey cement building right at the end…We thought it was place for storing rice, but nope. It’s not. It’s a place they built to have swallows living in there and build that precious BIRD NEST!!
Just some lamp post, all in a line.
A do-re-mi bunch of banana trees…
A funny shape of the cables tied to the pole.
We head for lunch near Pasir Penampang. The place was recommended by Adeline. Love the food, especially the Grilled Stingray…slurps…..
After lunch, since there’s a fishing village behind the restaurant, we decide to take a walk and snap more pics.
It’s certainly very interesting to see the fishing village. How run down the place is, and to remind us how lucky we are, living in a nice brick wall house.
This is some funny looking feng-shui thingy…wonder if it works.
Salted fish
A man walking back home after fishing
Sea horse……
A pink house!!…Adeline sure love this hahaha..
An abandon old wooden house, love the door though
After that we went back to Sekinchan for group photo…and the guys were also busy taking photos, posing, etc.
I changed to my 50mm lense and took this dreamy effect paddy field…slurp slurp…so nice!!
And that’s me…really like a lobster rite!! More pics can be found HERE.
Peter found me a remedy for the sunburn. Apply aloe vera on the sunburn area. I did and it was so cooling, and now it doesn’t feel that bad.
