At birth, Vyktore had quite a bit of hair, but not as much compared to Faythe. When his hair grew longer, I actually spotted 1 strand of grey hair growing right on top. Not many people spotted it except ME!!
But now that he’s growing older and no more a baby, I spotted even more!!! One day when he was fully concentrating watching TV. I sat next to him and stroke his hair. I love to stroke my kids hair LOL. Then I look at it as I brush, OMG!!! I saw 1…then 2…..then 3…..3 strands lining up nicely after each other (like you can see in the pic here). Then stroke somemore…i found somemore!! Aiyo..why this boy got so many strands of grey hair.
I did a rough count, in front has got like 8-10 strands. Then of late, I also notice behind there are 2-3 strands. I’m kinda worried if it’s genetic or something wrong with him. I went to check with the paed. Paed told me that I shouldn’t worry, probably it’s the root of the hair origin is grey, then becomes grey :|. She say if genetic, then it would be patches of grey.
Hmm…I hope she’s right. I’m gonna ask her again if I spot more after my last count of grey hair. Looks like he’s ageing from young. Maybe gonna have a headful of grey hair when he’s 20!! *Fainted*

My nephew also has this problem, he is just 3+ now, what i see my sis does is, put code 10 (not sure the spelling, it is the hair cream) and no shampoo while washing his hair. And, you can let him has more sun bathe. So far, the result is quite obvious, and his grey hair is getting lesser.

i read somewhere that taking ‘blackstrap molasses’ may help in slowing down or reversing grey hair. not so sure whether its appropriate for toddler.

Wow, your boy has more of that…Mine also used to have 2-3 strands of grey and white hair…I just pull it off when I saw it…
I have the same thought as you are is that the early ageing sign? but since he is not having much I didn’t check out with paed.

Aging? that fast??? i think probably nothing to worried about. Does anyone in the family has grey hair when they are young? if not then its most likely not genetic.
My lyon’s hair is like golden color color too. I am quite worry at first but since my hair also quite golden, so less worry now.

nolah…i think every person is different la. my dad’s hair all turned grey when he was 30 yrs old. Everyone thought he is my grandfather from the back but when see the face, then they know he is my dad.
But still no worry la…there;s always hair dye like how chinnee said up there

Don’t worry. If it is genetic, there is nothing you can do. Anyway how come the root of his hair is brown? At first I thot someone else head, look like dye.
u dun ask the paed whether can “cabut” it or not, juz curious to see whether it will grow back in gray or not.

Sometimes it may be due to diet.
I used to have grey hair, which turn to black again, then grey again. Haha.. like a zebra. I think when my diet change, it affects the hair.
But now.. memang lots of grey hair after Zaria’s birth.

Since paed said is ok, don’t worry so much :), I have a friend in HK who have very nice grey hair, like silver color, but he is only 27yrs old.
I think when he grow older, the color will change 🙂
Don’t ever, EVER, pull the grey hair. Not superstitious but scientific term memang can spread cos the root will die (no longer produce hair) and the bad gene (greying) will spread to the neighbouring roots. Itu sebab, when you pull one, three will come out. Hopefully i’m correct. lol.
hopefully this is not permanent… so kesian… baby time already got grey hair…
