Well, after the birthday dinner @ Sweet Deli Station, it wasn’t the end of dinners. It was in fact a marathon weekend for me…

15 Feb
On Friday night, I attended a colleague’s wedding @ Royal China Palace, Jalan Ampang. It was indeed my 1st time there. I was a bit worried bout the traffic jam since it’s down town Ampang, so I left my house about 630pm. And I was so so relieved when there wasn’t any jam at all!!!
The great thing bout this place was the view. We sat right at the corner where we could dine while gazing at Petronas Twin Towers. So I didn’t want to give it a miss I snapped a few photos of the Twin Towers. But too bad I didn’t bring my kit lense, hence I only had the top portion, not the whole Twin Towers.
The wedding dinner was great. The groom & bride even sang duet!!! Then it became like a concert/karaoke session cause everyone started singing love songs LOL. And there was a fight within Citibank (bride) & HP (groom). I left the place a lil bit early before the dinner ends.

On Saturday, it was a mad rush. I had like 10 things to complete for that day. So we left the house at 11am in the morning to finish all the task. Then our last stop was at Cineleisure where we actually managed to catch the movies, CJ7. Faythe loves the show very much, but Vyktore was a tad too busy toddling up and down between the maid and myself.
We reached home close to 4pm, I quickly put them to sleep and get ready for the night. Yeah…my office (not my dept, the whole office) had their Annual Dinner & Dance @ 1World Hotel (next to 1Utama). So some of my colleagues suppose to come over and car pool together since I stay so near to 1U.
So they reach here by 5pm, the kids were still sleeping, we sneaked out to the hotel to register, hoping for early bird, but we were a bit too late!!! Then we went home and had a few rounds of mahjong LOL…before we proceeded back to the hotel for the Gala Dinner.

It was Themed: Jazz Night. Everyone was supposed to wear Silver, Black & White. I love the way they deco the foyer with silver & white helium balloons…really very class!!
The ballroom was beautiful too…with silver star shaped helium ballons filled the air (I curi the balloons back for my kids after the dinner haha). So cool eh…
The food served was fine dining style.
- Stew portobello mushroom with salsa sauce
- Wild mushroom soup
- Grilled salmon with baked vegetables
- Cheese cake served with Vanilla Sorbet
There were performance by 2 local artiste. Adibah Nor & Jaclyn Victor. There was also some violinist performing, forgot her name..apparently some very famous violinist (not Vanessa Mae though).
The lucky draw was a bit of dissapointment. There were only 160 prizes for that 1000+ people!!! So few leh…comparing to our own dept dinner, we had 250 gifts for 600 people!!! And obviously I didn’t win anything. My table, only 1 person won the 32″ Flat Screen LCD TV.
Overall, we felt that it was rather boring, cause the dinner ended like 12am. There were just too many singing (I’m not saying the singers aren’t great) and it made the night a bit too draggy. It should end like 1030 – 1100pm.
Some of the photos of the event can be seen HERE.

I dragged myself up from the bed to go to market early morning. Went to buy some brocolli, cauliflower & lotus root. I was supposed to bake fish with veg, but I didn’t have time to buy cheese and fish, so I thought just goreng the veg with some mince chicken good enough.

We pick Annie & her twins up from TTDI on our way to Barb’s house. It was a CNY bloggers gathering since Alice was in KL, we decided we should meet up. Everyone brought food over, it was more like a potluck.
Thank god for Angie, she brought a bunch of CDs to keep the kids entertained while the parents mommy yak n yak non stop while eating LOL.
We left Barbara’s house at 3pm, the kids were tired and Faythe slept in the car. Vyktore didn’t sleep but when we reached home, all of us slept. I slept till 5pm+ and woke up. It was raining cats & dogs, so I called up my friends and told them to delay the dinner a bit.
We had dinner @ Delicious 1u with some of my old schoolmate in conjunction with my belated birthday celebration. It was great to catch up and chit chat. We always love these sort of gathering sessions. After all, we’ve left school so long and it’s surprising that we still have so many common topics to chat about.

The gals got me some facial products from Loccitane & Body Shop. Thanks gals…I will try that and show you all the results LOL. Cheryl brought me some cupcakes and some chocolates. Whoa, the onde onde cupcake was so yummy. I shared the cupcake with my 2 kids.
That was the end of the marathon weekend. And now all 3 of us are having cough & cold..yah all 3 of us at home!! I was on MC yesterday and all 3 of us nap together. Lets hope I heal fast enough since this Friday we are having 1 more party to attend.
