Fishing in the park

On one of those weekend when I was free (as in I could get up early and weather wasn’t too hot) I brought the kids to TTDI Park. I’ve always like this park cause it’s huge, comes with rubbery jogging tracks, a playground and even a stream and waterfall (man made of course).

So I prepared some sandwiches (salted chicken sandwich), brought some drinks, a big MAT, pails and scoops, net of course and off we went. Oh, make sure bring some extra clothing for them to change.

We picked a spot where usually people will have picnic there and the man made stream is pretty shallow, ankle level for the kids. They had their share of sandwiches then they started fishing. Actually there’s no fish, just tadpoles. But just for the sake of having fun for them.

Faythe will be busy netting fish sand and putting them into the pail. She really enjoys it. After she’s done with fishing, she built some sandcastle at the side of the stream with the maid’s help.

Vyktore on the other hand didn’t want to go in cause the water was cold. But after warming up, he got himself all wet!! He also poured all the tadpoles that maid & Faythe caught LOL. And then he didn’t wanna go home after that *smack head*.

As for me, I just watch them, once a while go into the stream and take some pics. And I like taking photos of the dragonfly. They are just so beautiful. That dragonfly you see in the Scrap page is real, not fake eh….I went really close to this fella and thank god it didn’t fly away.

So if weekend you have nothing to do, call me up we go picnic in the park OK :). It’s not so tiring for me since I don’t have to runaround catch them like going to the mall. This place is quite shaded even up to 11am. And on our way back to the car, we usually feed the monkeys with the breadskin hahaha…I know it’s not good practice cause the Monkeys might get used to it…forgive me for that OK.

Directions: If you are driving into TTDi, IBM on the right, just go straight and turn left (you can’t turn anywhere anyway). Then drive straight pass some houses on the left, pass WIM Building on the right, just after that you’ll see a big park, slightly opposite the School.

So anyone for fishing next weekend? In fact I just went with Sue yesterday since it was Public Holiday hehe…

  1. Yeahh..nice place to go during weekends. Nice dragonfly shot! Luckily it didn’t fly away. Haven’t brought the kids to the stream though. We just walked around the park.
