Stamping Activity

Some of the not so messy activity that I do with Faythe on weekends while Vyktore naps is stamping. It’s pretty simple activity which can keep her busy for say 30mins before she want to do painting over the papers.

There are some preparation work that needs to be done by Mommy though. I started her with potatoes stamping. So I cut the potatoes half, then I cut them into shapes like star, stripes & square. Daddy did very good work, he did a heart shape for Faythe :D.

Then prepare some paint, and she can start stamping all the way. She enjoyed the potatoes stamping. So 2nd round I prepared some ladies finger. Easier job for me, no need to cut into shapes. But she didn’t quite like it.

Some other stamping we did was hand stamping & lotus root stamping. She likes painting more, cause she can draw now…some alien looking thingy. So after stamping for a while and she’s bored, she will wanna draw. Then we switch to drawing.

I’m lucky she’s quite *siu jeh* when she’s doing painting. She won’t go paint around my walls!! And she keeps on requesting to wipe her fingers…she’s a clean freak though I told her it’s OK later we wash.

  1. ur girl girl is a good kid. my wall is being scribbled like hell! luckily i didn’t give them paint! or else my dad would scold me dunno like wat! hehe…

  2. i hide the water colours/paints from my children now. they will start by painting on the paper, once they get bored, they will start painting their finger nail then it slowly spread all over their body which they enjoy the most and mommy will suffer later cleaning and scrubbing them. oh ya, i usually let them paint topless coz i do not want them to mess up their clothes.

  3. Kids do love painting n stamping. XY too. And lazy mommy has yet to let her try stamping potatoes/sponge/ladies finger. I feel quite bad now. Must try it soon.

  4. Faythe is such a cute little artist!
I’m not sure when I’ll ever introduce Sean to paint. Maybe yeeearrrss later!
The house will probably become truly messy when Sean gets his hands on some paint!
