Early Morning Punishment

Scrapbooking Vyktore

(credits & details here)

One morning when he woke up, he was very happy. Walked out from our room and saw Faythe flipping her book. Well, he got a lil bit excited cause he saw Nemo on the book. Faythe was turning the pages and Vyktore tried to stop her from turning the page. In the end…the page tore apart :|. And Faythe screamed and cried, “Vyktore tear the book”…wuaahh…..wuaahhh….

So both Mr. Hon & myself came out from the room and saw what happened. This is in fact not the 1st time he tears a book. In fact, his favourite Nemo book is already in 4 pieces :|. Boys are really rough. So what else, Mr. Hon sent him to naughty corner.

The poor boy, instantly his face turned 🙁 and cried…Daddy was trying to tell him no he can’t tear the book. But I wonder if he understands as he’s too young. Or he’s just too manja and never been scolded. I also add the *api* and scold him. Telling him he can’t tear the book.

He didn’t stop crying till I gave him a hug later. This boy of mine, whenever he stars crying, he doesn’t stop :|. I hope he learns his lesson well and handle books with better care next round.

  1. Poor boy … but being that you scold him more than once some more you add ‘api’, he’ll understand and over time, he’ll understand why you scold him and he won’t do it again.

  2. Awwww……..you could actually see the tear running down the left cheek 🙁 What can I say? I’m a softie hence a lousy disciplinarian.

  3. boys are definitely different from girls. Max used to tear his books, so we kept all those torn books and now show them to him, just as a reminder. The phase will definitely pass, he’s probably just testing the boundaries now that he’s almost 2

  4. Mine also doesn’t stop crying once he starts! *shakes head* Anyway my kids used to tear books but they’ve outgrown it now. They still treat their books a little roughly but much better than tearing. Hehe.

  5. Yalor, boys r seriously worse than girls la. Their crayons can never stay in 1 pc 🙁 all broken into smaller pieces, so teruk.

  6. My boy also like that, rough and always tear book … i also duno how, have to watch him and be with him when he read book .
Noti Corner ?? i try to put Jeremy to Noti Corner when he behave noti, but he won and run to me and cry even hug my leg tight . hmmmm …. i think he too young to understand abt the “noti Corner !!”

  7. My boy, he does that too. He doesn’t tear his ultraman book, but he tears his jiejie’s. We make him stand naughty corner too. He knows he’s not suppose to tear, but when his “tak boleh tahan” feel comes, he will still tear…. If he doesn’t stop, i think i won’t have any book to pass down to younger ones…. He even can tear puzzle… How?

  8. Alamak… kesiannya. Pagi-pagi already kena send to the naughty corner. Anyway, as for books, Irfan has managed to tear some of his books and car magazines too. I think it’s just normal for boys. I’d usually keep the books away and let him learn his lesson – but sekejap onlylah. After that do again. Sigh.

  9. Aiyo, kesiannya Vyktore boy. He’s still young, I’m sure he’ll learn how to take good care of his books when he grows older.

Consider me as one of the lucky ones whose daughters don’t dare to tear or draw in their books and were taught to treasure their (esp) story books. 🙂

  10. Teel me bout it, both my boy & girl not only like to tear books but also would bite the book.

Dillon won’t cry very long in the naughty corner, but same also will wait I hug him 1st then only dare to leave the corner.

  11. Sigh.. my boy oso sama lah. XY handled books much better when she was younger. N once he cry, won’t stop one.. till u go hug n pacify him. Really spoilt hor our boys.
