Photoshoot: Brickfields & Petaling Street

One night while I was online, a family friend msn-ed me. Asked if I want to go Brickfields pagi pagi or not. He’s dropping off his wife at KL Sentral and he wants to shoot some pics at Brickfields then go Petaling Street for Chu Chap Porridge.

Thought bout it whole night. Want to go don’t want to go haha….You see my camera is like got a soul, calling me to go all the time :|. So what else, itchy hands went lorr…I also decided to try out shooting in RAW for the first time. I’ve heard so much good things about it. Since this is a short trip, I anticipate I won’t shoot a lot of photos (try to control myself as well), hence I decided I should try out RAW and see how it goes. The outcome was fantastic and I fell in love with RAW (kanasai case, cause every photo gotta edit and convert to jpeg).

It was a great day, nice and sunny. I parked my car at Bangsar LRT and took the LRT down to KL Sentral. Just 1 stop lah haha…but good enough…tried to capture some LRT Train Movement. Wasn’t easy, didn’t like the shots.

Then Alan (my friend), picked me up after he drop his wife off and we parked at Brickfields. It is very interesting, that this side of the city has a lot of religion influence. You can see Hindu Temple, which I thought that was it. All this while I thought it’s an indian community there. But then we also saw Chinese Temple :|. It was somewhat hidden. I know there’s Church there, and probably a Mosque somewhere too. I love the Hindu Temple the most. It’s always interesting shooting those statues at the Temple.

After that we got pretty hungry and decided we should leave for Petaling Street. We had our yummy porridge by the roadside. Then we walk down the road to the florist. Whoa…fell in love with the flowers. Got so excited snapping the flowers until the lady boss stopped us: Hey no snapping pics inside the shop :|. Ooppss..Alan immediately bought a bunch of tiger lilies haha..he felt so paiseh LOL…

Then we head back to the car, on our way back we stop over at a very Old Dentist. Gosh so old…I took a peek into the Dentist, no customer around. Then we came to this graffiti wall which was pretty interesting to me. Wished they had painted it hehe…

Twas a short trip coupled with yummy breakfast. I believe Petaling Street has alot to offer for photographers. But then again, those people there are not a friendly bunch, hence I didn’t dare to snap much except for buildings. Photos HERE. I won’t mind going for another round of chu chap porridge, anyone?
