another backdated post.
OK, one more backdated post…still got loads to come :P. I took up an assignment to be a wedding photographer for the day. It was for my friend’s brother. And I thought wedding photography is fun…but after the event, I have 2nd thoughts. It’s not because the day was long and tiring. But rather it was quite stressful being the official photographer.
Before I went for the photoshoot, I could imagine myself what shots I want to take, where I should hide myself, etc. But when the time comes…gosh….it’s pretty stressful. Taking wedding photos are not as easy cause it’s only that 1 moment, once it’s gone it’s gone. I got so stressed up because I was afraid the shots came out blur. I was afraid to miss that moment of life time. I was trying to hide myself, but couldn’t. Imagine, I was using flash even broad day light in the house, cause I was so worried if the shots all come out blur, then jia lat liao. And I kept checking my screen to make sure the shots are OK. Especially those family pic shots. Those are really important.
So after the event, I did a post mortem on my shots. Hmm…not bad *angkat sendiri*. I shortlisted close to 200 shots for the web album. Seriously, I think there are alot of room for improvement. But if you ask me I want to shoot wedding again, I’ll think twice. The stress level is wayyy too high…can get heart attack one.

You are right. It must be stressful! I was pleased with my wedding photographer. He did a good job in getting everyone to smile for photos. Your photos look very nice and artistic but I noticed one thing missing in most of them. Feet. It would be nice to have full shorts in some including the feet. Hehe. Having said that though, I think you did a great job. I think the bride and groom would be pleased with the photos.
Yeah, too stressful hoh… better to take pictures of babies than wedding keke…
Hey I thought the photos were really good! If you didn’t tell me, I would have thought they were taken by a pro wedding photographer!!!
haha, yeah, the stress is bad right? it’s someone’s memory depending on u… and the chaotic environment everyone doing something really make ur heart beat faster…. but i like taking photography shots… the happiness of everything and everyone…

I’d agree with you with my recent wedding photography assignment. Thank goodness it was a free service, thus if I screw up, its not that bad… imagine if I was paid… LOL>
Haha. I echo sue’s thoughts! Better to take babies’ pictures than wedding shots! 😉

You shouldn’t be too stress. Your pictures are cool and captured lots moments. I think you should be proud.
The outcome is great. It’s as if the pictures came alive, can really feel the “moments” you have captured.
I love all your photos… Looking at the photos you took (esp those of Faythe & Vyktore) is tempting me to get a DSLR to play around.
Any tips for DSLR to buy. Low budget for beginner. I probly won’t get too serious abt it. Just wanna snap kiddie photos.
