Vyktore: 28 Months

pheww…I’m sure everyone is glad that the Australia trip posting has finally ended LOL.

This is a very much delayed post for Vyktore, who turned 28 months this month on the 10th. Must slap myself for being suck a slacker in updating their latest updates.

As you can see in the pic…he’s so sneaky and cheeky nowadays, sometimes I so beh tahan….

Vital Stats:

Weight: 13kg but I feel that he’s heavier than Faythe at anytime!!

Height: Can’t remember, but I notice he has grown taller lately and lost a bit of his chubbiness. He’s 1/2 a head shorter than Faythe.

Teeth: 16!!

Dietary:

He’s not very adventurous when it comes to solid. He’d stick to his good old fried rice or rice with soup. He don’t really fancy western food (pizza, spaghetti). But when comes to snack & drinks, he will try just  everything.

For the record:

Grapes: He loves grapes. He eats that day in day out after his meals as snacks!! Pretty expensive taste he has. He used to eat them minus the skin, now he will take the skin too. He’s been having these as snacks for pass 2 months and still not bored with it. He can finish a bowl all by himself 😐

Speech: He’s speaking more now, but still on simple words and not exact pronunciation. Sometimes he refuse to say the correct word but insist what he says is right (e.g. watch, he’d say it’s clock). Some of the new words which I manage to jot down:

• kakak – the maid
• mama – mommy, but he only calls me when he got very urgent needs, if not don’t even hope for that
• jeh jeh – faythe
• kok – clock
• ark – shark
• ide – hide (hiding under the blanket to play peek-a-boo)
• bah – bus
• bar – butterfly
• pane – aeroplane
• coh – helicopter

I’ll add more to the list when I can remember.

Books: loves to read, but only a few books which has his favourite stuff in it (butterfly, bus, train, aeroplane, helicopter, cars, fish). He likes me to read only the page with the things he wants to see and refuse to let me turn the page :|.

Tip toe: He’s been tip toeing at home very often now that I’m wandering if he’s a potential ballerina LOL. He loves walking on his toes and running on his toes…

Spinning around: besides tip toeing, he loves spinning himself around. He will raise both his hand shoulder level, then he’d turn himself round n round non stop until he gets dizzy and out of balance. Then he’d laugh out loud.

Skip: lately I notice he started skipping too :|. While tip toeing, he’d skip a few steps front and backwards…whoa…he’s really telling me he’s a potential dancer perhaps.

Terrible 2s: He seems to have split personality. Sometimes he’s very good boy, sitting down alone playing by himself. But once he’s disturbed (usually by Faythe grabbing his toys), he’d go berserk and throw all his tantrums ranging from high pitch scream, throw things on the floor, lying down on the floor with his face down. Lately, if you do something he don’t like, he will spit :|. Gosh, I don’t know where he learned this. He still screams in high pitch but the throwing things & himself has lessen after many stern staring from ME. And I’ve continuously slap his mouth lightly each time he spits and tell him NO.

Looks for alternative: He knows very well that I don’t give in to him at times and I don’t turn on the TV for him, hence he look for alternative to ask the maid to do it. Good thing the maid is new, so she doesn’t know how to turn it on. Of which he’s not too happy bout it and will start his screaming series when he don’t get his TV session at home

Love the water: He loves loves the water so much. So much that when we bath, I’d actually switch it to spray mode so that the water would spray all over the bathroom. Guess what, he’d dance in joy and try to catch the water :|. He’ll keep asking me to switch to that mode everytime I change it back to normal mode for shower.

Toilet trained: Yup, I wrote bout this last week, he’s toilet trained, at least for the day time. I’m really glad that although he doesn’t speak much, he’s still able to signal us that he needs to go off to the loo. He’s still doesn’t like public toilet, or even pee-ing by the roadside 😛

The jinx morning cry: I think I wrote too early bout him not crying to school. After the 5 days raya break, he’s back to his old self. He still whines when we drop him off now, but he no longer shake his head whenever we say go school. I guess he’s more happy now, but still not very prepared to see me leave the school every morning.

The stairs affair: He stopped taking his milk on the stairs for sometime, but it has returned again!! Each morning before going to school, he’d lie down on the stairs (last step of the stairs) and quietly drink his milk. He’d actually put all his fav toys next to the steps so that he can drink and peep them at the same time :|.

School Report:

Teacher told me his attention span has increased lately and he’d follow them when they sing nursery rhymes. He’s also more receptive towards the things they said to him.
