Tet Celebration, Vietnam: 29-31 Jan

Daddy Events Faythe Jazzmint Travelogue Vyktore

no. 3 super backdated post.

On the 4th day of CNY, we decided to visit War Remnants Musuem while Daddy went to work. This Musuem houses alot of gory photos during Vietnam War, including the Agent Orange Victims. It also houses the replica of Tiger Cage, a prison meant for the Vietnamese during War.

We were there about 11am, and little did we know it closes at 12pm for lunch..DUH!! Hence we were there for an hour, and then went to KFC for lunch. We adjourned back to the Musuem after that and went home by 3pm.

On the 5th day, Benh Tanh Market finally opened, hence we went there to get some goodies as souvenirs to bring home.

We made a trip up to Mekong River Delta on the 6th Day. Early morning, we dragged the kids up from their bed and we were already at Sinh Cafe by 8am!! The bus ride was pretty long, can’t remember how long though. Both Faythe & Vyktore doze off in the bus, but I didn’t (as usual).

We arrived there like 11ish, and boarded the boat which took us on the Mekong River Cruise.

We had lunch at one of the village, which was part of the package. Then went on the boat again..then went to some Coconut Candy Factory and before I knew it, we were all riding a PONY!! Yeah, all 5 of us on a PONY!! Poor fella.

After the ride, we were entertained with some traditional Vietnamese music which is not to my liking. Then we proceeded to take a smaller boat for the last part of the tour.

Overall the trip was tiring but I bet the kids had fun, especially when they saw the snake LOL.

We got home almost 8pm due to the massive jam on our way back to HCMC.

That wraps up our 4th, 5th & 6th Day of CNY. And 2 more days, we will be heading back to KL. One more deck of photos for your enjoyment :).
