If you read my facebook status today, you’d probably know that I had a *showdown* with the traffic police this morning. YES!!! I got really cheesed off with that fella I beh tahan, I wind down the window and showdown with him.
So what happened? Here’s what happened…
I left the house at 745am, after feeding both my kids with medicine, and myself already like half dead (have to see doctor later). Was on my way to send Faythe to school, as usual, I’ll take the road from Sea Park, then turn to Sea Park Market, then go down all the way near the ferrari showroom that road.
The jam was unexpected…then I took a left turn at the Guocera junction and head towards Rothmans roundabout.
Again it’s bumper to bumper…and slowly as the car was moving, I look at my watch, it’s already 8:10am. Late!! Anyway, jalan only lah right…
I already can see that gemuk-traffic police standing in front diverting traffic (seriously, I think he’s a nuisance, cause when he’s not around, the traffic is so smooth).
So all the cars start moving, then when it was right at the time I was suppose to turn out, he stopped me.
I looked at him and he stared at me…Then I looked right, there’s no traffic, so I attempt to go forward to sneak out..Yes I’m not a very good driver. Then he stare at me and gave me a hand signal, ask me wait…
I mengamuk already..F U lah…that side no traffic, why you stop me..so I show my *apalah* hand sign (not middle finger OK)
Then he show me his *apalah* hand sign to me….then I point my hand to Faythe…trying to tell him I’m so so so late!!! He ignored, still stand in front of my car…so I no choice, wait lah..takkan want to bang him right.
But other side cars not many…so I honked…he stared at me…
Then I beh tahan, so I reverse and try to go left to go out then turn into right…and that moment i reverse and move left…he also move left and I almost bang into him…
Then he stared at me again and I also stare at him with my fiery eyes (wearing my sunglasses)
Finally, he had no choice, he just walk to the side, so I start to get ready to move…And you know what???
He came right next to my car and bang bang bang my door!! F…what the hell he wants, so I wind down my window.
Jasmine: Apa mau?
Polis: Tak boleh tunggu kah? Orang semua nak lalu..traffic jam.
Jasmine: Encik, tadi traffic mana ada, kereta pun tak ada, kenapa awak tak kasi saya lalu?
Polis: LDP sana jam teruk, saya kasi orang lalu…
Jasmine: Macam lah saya dari sini tak jam…itu jam sudah sampai belakang sana…waving my hand showing him that the jam is so far behind
Polis: Saya tau, tapi LDP sana sangat jam..
Jasmine: SO!!! Tiap tiap hari awak berdiri sini pun jam, bila awak tak ada sini, jam tak ada…buat apa awak berdiri sini?
Polis: Stunned…and he mumbled himself…then he said, “Jalan jalan”
Jasmine: Yalah…you berdiri sini tengok, kalau u tak divert traffic, tengok ada jam atau tidak…
Then I wind my window and left him there mumbling to himself and I left the incidental roundabout :P.
I’ve always been so cheesed with them every morning. Because of them, the traffic outside my house is so jam…and I’ve always been tempted to scold that fella..but never did of course.
So to avoid the jam, I had to use the backway to get out and go thru Sea Park then thru Rothmans roundabout..and this police every morning also standing there and today he really *liu hei ngo pah foh*.
I really don’t see they serve any purpose. Cause if they are not around, the traffic is much better, no jam at all!!!
They better just go and catch criminals rather that divert traffic without any cow sense.
wah .. so brave u “ting” the police man, lucky he didnt give u a ‘saman’ lei …. even they r the one who make the traffic worst!!
Hi Jasmine, You may want to try to turn right from the Guocera junction if there’s a long queue on your left leading to Rothmans roundabout. I used to take that shortcut when I sent my boy to JC.
Good job!! *applause*
I try to avoid going out during ‘busy’ hours. Not because of the jams but because I hate it when these traffic polices are there pretending to do their job. In fact, when they are there, lagi jam la…
i liked this part :
“awak tak ada sini, jam tak adaรขโฌยฆ”
that’s exactly what i would like to say to the traffic police too.
Now I only use Jalan Belakang to go home when it rains…because when rain, no police. If police ada, mesti jam teruk!!!!
He is traffic police, cannot catch thief. If he doesn’t stand there, then he gaji buta. So must do something la…
Jazzmint, good one! I had exactly the same experience, I should learn from you ๐
you very brave!!!!
LOL…As mentioned in your FB, you should hv taken out your sunglasses and play eyes with him – lagi fierce mah. You so “lang” and really daring! Poor fella, let him do his “job” lah.
wahahahahahahaha! tabik inspector jazz ๐ keng ah you! my “ngau cheong”… hahahaha!
very brave la you.
but yea..dont mess with a disgruntled mama! Luckily he didnt shoot you la!!!
You so brave wo..
What if your comment made him angrier and he did something nasty…
I dare not ler.. ‘yeh koon fei’…
*clap clap clap* bravo…hahahahahahahhaa. that fella must be still in shock ๐
100% agreed with you. *raising hand & legs*
LOL!!! Jazz, this is a good one!! You so terror!
One word for you. “KENG!”
Honestly. Have u seen police busy catching criminals? If you ever see police “beeboo beeboo” speeding down the road, it is also not to catch criminal but to open road for some big shots.
wah..u so daring go against the traffic police ah!
you are so brave wo…:)
Yea, I think those traffic police who divert traffic are causing the jam too…
Woah… dun play play with Jazz oh. Police oso she scold. *quickly runs away*
WUAH, hats off 2 u for giving a piece of ur mind to a traffic policeman! I dont know if I can or would do it. It depends on the situation I guess hehe…
lol!!!! traffic police is to jaga the traffic only ma, hardly go catch thieves unless they happen to see 1 on the road. if not all these go to the crime division ma..
dont worry, rothman there turning into traffic light instead of round a bout liao ma, easier for u next time..
but u so daring hor..! kakaka!
wow, you’re so brave. not many of us will dare to give it to the policemen (i only curse them from inside the car). but the again, it’s so obvious he ‘teng’ you so i also wld be just as pissed! so way to go to show him!
nice to finally meet u over the weekend! ๐
Eh, you no longer take the illegal turn at PJ Drama & Speech Centre? I’m still doing that…wakakaka. But I can sooo relate to being late for JC – I think 9/10 days we are late, though only by 3-5mins.
