Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di IF

Jazzmint Photography

That’s the 3rd piece of good news. I was contemplating whether I should get a multipurpose lense Nikkor 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED IF DX VR vs kit/slightly wide lense Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di IF with a constant aperture.

After reading the review on the Nikkor lense, which cost RM2.3k (after discount), the temptation melts. As the further you go, the quality drops quite a fair bit. And further more it’s not constant aperture (F value). So I drop that lense from my to buy list.
And I was fortunate, I loan the Tamron F2.8 (yeah…it’s constant!!) from my sifu and I tested it during the model photoshoot, I instantly fell in love with the aperture haha…..as usual, who don’t love the bokeh right ;).

The Tamron actual price is about 1.3K, if you buy a Nikkor, it will cost RM4.5K. Very big difference!! And I’m very sure I’m not ready to buy a RM4.5k lense since my camera body is only like RM2.3k!!

And again, I was fortunate, one of my colleague wants to upgrade his camera, hence he wants to sell his Tamron. After some bargaining, I manage to get it at RM950!! Yahoo…..close deal and I’m so happy. It even came with a Hoya CPL Filter.

So that’s my latest damage for my photography hobby. Lucky thing, paid post sponsoring hehe…
