Do you know Totoro? That’s me ;)

Faythe is now 20 weeks. 4 days ago, we sent her to the paed for the routine jab. She weighs 6.5kg now and measuring about 64cm…That’s pretty good, doing very well. From the chart, she’s above average in terms of weight & height, but have not reach the “monster” measurement kekeke…good good…she was very talkative too at the paed LOL…

OK, so what’s bout your name? Mommy has got a beautiful name for her little girl, thanks to Sifu Poh, Min Yue, it means quick and intelligent…yah indeed she’s very quick….achieving milestones one after another…and let’s hope she’s intelligent too hehehe….Faythe, was given by dearest daddy…pronounced as Faith – with a silent E…some people ask if that’s a silent e, why do u put it in? Hmm good question, answer is Mommy doesn’t know, it’s all Daddy’s “creativity”. Other that calling her Faythe, she has a lot of nicknames, which I find them funny, and the list goes:

1. Fay-the-Hon > means fay the hon family baby, we don’t call her by that, but dunno why sometimes we just say that, sounds funny
2. Fay-the > some people pronounce it by splitting the name, we will correct them 🙂
3. Fay-the (pronounce as thee) > Gene gave this name to her, cause Mun Wah used to give him nickname, so now is his turn giving nickname to Faythe
4. Min Yue > Mommy sometimes call her this name, to practice her so that she knows she has a chinese name :), and of course sifu Poh calls her this name too since he’s the one that gave her the name.
5. Little Angel > Daddy calls her that, when she’s not crying like a monster
6. My Pet > Grandpa says that she’s his pet
7. Monyet- chai > yup, she’s born in the year of monkey although it’s 2005, the tail of monkey hehe…so we sometimes call her that
8. Mommy’s darling > when mommy is very geram and wanna hug her, mommy will call her that…sometimes you just can’t resist when you see ur kid is so cute and adorable 🙂
9. Totoro > only used in within the “parliament” of Samy, Ah Bee & PM. Got this name because when Mommy was pregnant, PM said she looks like totoro 🙂
10. Notty > this is classic….MIL & FIL always call say that she’s notty girl when she’s @ their home. So one fine weekend, the maid, Wasiah, asked where is notty? She’s not coming today? MIL asked her, who is notty? Then we found out that Wasiah thought her name was notty as they were calling her that everyday…kekekeke….ROTF….

Well, of course we do worry that when she grows up, her friends will call her wrongly due to the silent E, but rest assure that we will try to correct them as time goes. Even up till today, there’s still people pronouncing Mommy’s chinese name wrongly, thanks to some *oink oink* generation who can’t read English 🙂 and a huge chinese Gorilla that cant differentiate Chong and Choong….DUHHH.

As we always tell people, her name is Faith, you know Faith Hill, but it different spelling 😉
