extra $$$

Work

Last week, as usual I started my work day at 830am. First thing I usually do, download my emails. While downloading the mails, I started to login to MSN & Jabber (office IM).

When I switch my screen back to the MS Outlook, one email caught my attention. It was a FW mail came from my boss, with the title eAwards. I quickly open that email, scroll up and down and read through it.

Yahooo!!! The Global Transition Lead for one of the project I was doing gave me eAwards point.

Our company has many ways to award their employees. Other than the usual 13 month salary, we get awards point as well for accomplishment that we’ve made. Each point can be converted to cash (which you can withdraw) or purchase products from the company. Who wants to buy company products lah..unless I’m leaving the company, then maybe I want a laptop lah. That also on usual days we can get discount, so why bother buying company products.

I quickly login into the eAwards portal. Check my total points. I’ve not withdrawn any points/cash since I joined the company. To my amaze…wahh…I’ve got more than RM3K inside. Went to check the history, hmmm…seems like someone gave me 500 points this year in April, but never state who!! Aiyoo…mysterious. Anyway, I’m happy lah, no matter who gives so long as got points.

Muaks muaks to the global transition lead. At least for all the panda eyes, sleepness nights and midnite conference call, it’s kinda worth it.
