Langkawi 2006

Travelogue

Hhmm…seems like langkawi is our destination of the year!! We’ve been going there 2 years back to back. Last year more for holiday. This year for holiday + wedding. Yup, we attended a beach wedding. Very romantic. Here’s the trip in long (lots of pics).

We didn’t bring Vyktore boy, only Faythe since we can’t handle 2 kids. We took the bus from KL Sentral to LCCT. Faythe enjoying her breakfast, while Daddy going thru the speech he’s gonna give. Third pic shows Faythe in LCCT, while waiting for the ticket to be ready. We paid a total of RM160 for 3 person 1 way, cheap ehh…And guess what, I actually left my milk storage bag in the bus!!! OMG, I ran like a mad woman back to the bus stop, thank god it was still there and the workers were opening it trying to find the address to send it back.

She instantly made friends with the 2 jie jie (bridesmaid & friend) while waiting to board the aircraft. She was all briefed about flight safety, and when the aircraft took off, she sat still and made sure the belt was put on. Last pic shows Daddy & Faythe in Langkawi airport.

We checked in at about 2pm+, Faythe was sleeping, but soon she was awake. Mommy and Daddy too tired, I slept in the sofa in our apartment while Faythe jumping around constantly climbing next to me asking me, “Mommy, OK?”…grrr…We went to the beach where the wedding supposed to be in the evening to get a feel of the beach. The last time we took her there, she didn’t like it, now she loves it so much. She even asked me to walk her from one end of the beach to the other end…exhausted liao Mommy.

Sunset at the beach…ahh so beautiful. 2nd pic is where the hotel is. Casa del Mar. Nice place and the beach is very long and clean..very fine. Daddy and the rest were doing rehearsal, while Mommy and Faythe exploring the beach. We went for dinner later on.

Next day, we went to the Marina near the Cable Car, wanted to have breakfast there, but only shop opened was Mamak!! Anyway, no harm having some roti canai. I love the Marina with all the yacht parking there..beautiful sight.

We then went home and took a nap before head for the beach wedding. Suppose to start at 4pm, but we arrived at 430pm, bride was still busy preparing. I took some oppotunities to snap some pics. The bouquet of roses, the flower petals and flower cones (Faythe suppose to distribute the cones) & the bride’s shoes.

Faythe caught the attention of the bride’s Mom. One of the bridesmaid…is she gonna cry or what eh?? Daddy giving me that where-should-I-pin-the-corsage-LOOK.

Groom getting ready (asking me if the position was ok). Drinks served before the wedding commence. Pretty nails of the bride. It has real mini flowers stuck on it..lovely!!

The bride, so pretty. Love her dress too. Faythe with the bride. 3 bridesmaid getting themselves ready (hogging the mirror LOL)

Groom chilling out with Faythe :). Wearing necklace for each other.

Faythe, the center of attraction. Everyone wanted to take picture with her LOL. And she wasn’t too co-operative :(. That was the pic of the groom’s parents. 2nd pic, bride’s Mom & elder brother.

Wedding started, right at the beach…scorching hot!! Pauline reading a verse from the bible. Granny (too hot), gotta use fan to block the eyes. Groom’s parents, so happy at last their son is getting married :).

Meanwhile, when everyone was paying attention to the ceremony, our lil girl couldn’t sit still. One moment she sat there quietly. Next, she made some noise. And then, she started walking around, throwing all the flower petals from the leftover cones.

Coconut tree and the beautiful beach. Bride and groom..so serious!!. Bride looking so happy.

The bridesmaid & flower girl. The ceremony itself.

After the ceremony, it’s time for tossing the flower!!! And guess who got the bouquet 😛

One of the guest talking on the handphone. Happy moments. Nehh..this lady got the flower lorr hahaha…look she’s so so happy!!

Details of the wedding gown from the back…the wedding cake…groom with the niece I think.

Bottom to top view of the bride (I love this pic). Faythe enjoying herself on the beach. Hugs and kisses of the newly wed.

Faythe with the cones..she distributed 90% of it before start of the wedding. We had dinner in lamanpadi (opposite the hotel). A very nice place, a restaurant set in the middle of padi field. Faythe, so tired, she only had 3 pieces of popiah..but enjoyed the fruits. The food Mommy had..it’s a buffet dinner, food was great..I was so hungry LOL.

We left quiet early (9pm+) cause we were all so tired and sticky & sweaty. The beach wedding was really romantic, but at the same time, so hot lahh…

Woke up early next morning and made our way to the waterfalls at Telaga Tujuh. Faythe managed to climb up the slope by herself…bravoo!!! We were all half dead by the time we reached the top…so so steep.

She didn’t like the water as it was too cold. So she took a quick dip, then decide to sit next to Mommy to snack. Look…2 man trying to show their bxtt!!!

We met up with Sandra and had lunch in Kuah town. Nice restaurant with simple food. Faythe taking pics with the lil monks. Mommy keeping her busy by drawign on some spoons for her to count LOL.

OK…we are done with Langkawi. Faythe so happy, trying on Mommy’s sunglasses. We’re in airport waiting for the tickets to be ready. Reached home at 9pm, all so tired.
