Meaning of Faythe’s name.
English Name: Faythe
Daddy thought of this name one day and I instantly approve it cause I like it. It also jives with the surname Hon (which is so difficult to find a name matching to that). He likes concept, so Faith is a conceptual name.
The twist:He change the I to Y, and added a E. That’s how we arrived at the weird spelling.
Chinese Name: Min Yue
We are banana parents (don’t know Mandarin), so we got sifu (my good friend) to select some names for us to choose. He’s good at this and he does it out of favour. As good as Loh Tit Pat, mind you :). We were given 5 names to choose, each bringing different meaning, Min Yue being the 1st choice.
We fell in love with the name at first sight, so we took it. Convince the whole family this the best and approval given!!!
