Ahh…it’s time again for Vyktore’s monthly development. So fast already 14 months. In fact I just finished sorting out his birthday photos not too long ago!!! This month he has achieved quite a fair bit, from babyhood now moving to toddlerhood.
Vital Stats
Teeth: 8 + 2 (upcoming)
Hair: No more spiky, just cut last week and boy he hates cutting hair!!!
Weight: Still around 9kg+
Height: ermm..forgot to measure
Dietary
- 7oz milk x 3-4 times a day
- Rice with dishes – he chews pretty well, but has problem swallowing and keeping food in his mouth like a squirrel
- Fruits
- Yoghurts
- Biscuits
- And just any food which you eat, he wants to taste..even water also when he sees us drinks, he’d go hmmm…..hmm…asking us give him to taste *aiyoooo*
Development:
Walking
He’s quite pro in walking now, fall down less often.
Squatting
He’s able to squat from standing position, and from squatting goes back to standing position without holding anything
Climbing
Not so pro, he’s probably afraid, he won’t dare to climb the sofa or bed unless we are sitting on it and helps him.
Hates being alone
Whenever he sees everyone walks away from him, he will cry out loud…simply because he thinks we are all leaving him..the start of separation anxiety!!!
Takes instructions
He can takes quite alot of instructions nowadays, and in the training to be my 2nd lil helper in the house. He’s able to:
- throw his own diapers – with some guide from Mommy or Jie Jie
- brings his milk bottle to the back to wash
- takes his own shoes when we say go *kai kai*
- can pass things from one person to another
- will come and *sayang* you when you ask him to
Shyness
He’s not as friendly as Faythe and is a bit shy when he sees strangers. But once he’s used to you, then he’s OK.
Able to recognise
- everyone in the family by pointing or looking at the person
- animals – zebra, sheep, fishes, dog & cat
- body parts – nose, ears, eyes
He’s not talking much, mostly bla bla all over the place but we don’t understand what he wants.
When he agrees with us..he’d go hmmm…hmmm…
Praises
He loves praising himself. Each time if he gives in something when we ask, after that he’ll clap his hand and we’ll say clever boy…and he will make sure he claps his hand everytime he completes a task.
Actions he can do
- Dance – he shakes the butt up and down
- Twinkle Little Star – his palm goes open and close
- Comb hair – takes anything in his hand and brush the head
- Beat mossie – claps with her hand and look very serious
- Walking backwards – haha yah he can do this when he wants to sit on the stairs
Stubborn
He is another one that won’t give in. If he’s holding a toy and Faythe snatches from him, he’d scream very loud. But if you ask and he gives, then he’s OK and praises himself by clapping hands.

eh, v turned 13 or 14 mths? scrap said 13 title said 14 wor…hehe, he is so so cute, just like faythe, told oscar we are meeting up with faythe this sat and he keep on asking me to turn on the pc to show him faythe’s face *faint*…. haha, can submit resume or not my son… hahaha…

He’s such a cheeky lil fella…look at him with that spoon in his mouth! He must have an amazing appetite!

Vyktore is indeed growing up!!! I like the part about him clapping his hands. Very very cute lah!

Actually, CE and V has quite a few things in common (but V is sure more adv in language than CE). 1 thing for sure.. vy perasan.. likes self praise. 😀 But sooo cute when they clap hands after achieving something, rite?

At one glance, I thought Vyktore turned into Pinocchio. *phew* Luckily, its just a spoon. He is very very handsome indeed.

Vyktore is 1 mth behind en en, I mean age lah! He got lots of hair and soo black! I think you also mentioned Faythe is stubborn as well, right? Watch up if they fight one day…. Give him all the praising to motivate him.

so fast 14 months. so many teeth. my son still only has 7, 4 top half way out. bottom 3 all out.
