I don’t know why, but I like watching my kids playing with blocks. I’ve bought them 3 sets so far. One of the set is pretty different. It doesn’t come in shapes of square or rectangle, but round. When 4 pieces join together, it becomes a round shape.
Faythe didn’t quite like it at first, cause it looks a bit more challenging than the usual block she plays with. But one night, she started to put them together and eventually found a way to do it. She showed me her 1st round shape. I encouraged her to do even more. At first it was different colours. Then it became same colour / shape. She gets faster and faster.
In the end, she finish up like 20 block of cakes. She told me those are cakes. So I helped her arranged it nicely like a tower. Then she wanted me to sing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to everyone *roll eyes*.
So I sang the song for like umpteen times…and she blow the “imaginary” candle…and we keep repeating it. I think she’s very proud, having make so many cakes in just 1 nite ;).
us mothers are creatures of repeating songs
Faythe is practising to blow the candles for her coming birthday party ar … hehe…
same with my boy, he likes to build the birthday cake using the wooden blocks and then blow it, they are juz so imaginative, I like it …

when i was little, i love playing with blocks too. this post reminds me that i should really get some blocks for my kids!!

i love to play lego too but never try this blocks for en en… maybe one day shall search through all her toys passed down from her cousins… hehe… I’m lucky no need to buy more new toys as every type of toys are available…
