Faythe is trying to learn how to use chopsticks. She actually requested me to let her eat with that when she sees all of us using chopstick to eat our meals. So I will usually give her a pair for her to learn. She’s very slow and struggling with it. But I guess it’s not easy. I only learned how to use chopstick at a very later age.
This cheeky girl of mine, she tried to cheat using the chopsticks, so she was holding the peanut with 1 hand, and the other hand put the chopstick close to her mouth, as though she’s holding the peanut with chopstick.
I could still remember when I was young, my brother always hit my hand when I eat with chopstick. Reason is I’m a leftie and he’s trying to ask me to use right hand so that I won’t clash with other chopsticks. Somehow as I grow older, I learned to use with my right hand and it improved. Now I can use with both my hands hehe…at home I use left, outside dinner, I use right..but if Daddy sits next to me, I have to use left, cause he’s a leftie too.
I must go and find a pair of children chopsticks. I heard they are specially designed to train the kids how to use chopsticks. Any idea where can we get those?
I know a kiddies shop in Dataran Sunway, CAMY, carries it. It’s just two shops away from Pasaraya 99.
I also it under either “Combi” or “pigeon”, retailing at RM29.90.
i buy normal children chopstick saja! the gift shop opp Ajisen ramen at 1U old wing got many ler!
She’s considered too young to be able to hold them properly, right? When u use chopsticks to eat at home, naturally the kids wud want to follow. Unfortunately, we don’t.
i never think of introducing chopstick to jo as he even can’t eat properly with only fork and spoon.
She does look cheeky on the pics. My children hold chopsticks with 2 hands.
I didn’t know that there were children chopsticks.. but i guess learning to use it takes some time. I remember being tested on whether i was good or not, when i went to china on a busines strip. they were wondering how good was I since I was an indian. And they were impressed that I was able to carry a small tomato using a pair of chopsticks 🙂
ya, can be bought those kiddie chopstick for them to learn. i can find out from my fren coz her girl has one.
I think Chicco has the training chopsticks, but quite small lor so I didn’t get it…
Faythe is left-hander??? Good for her that she learns how to use the chopstick. way to go gal…
I have seen those trainer chopsticks sold online at Lil Danzell. My SIL bought a pair for Ethan though, but I don’t know where she got them from. I tried using them too, and it’s quite good. But Ethan is not ready for it yet la.
i would not suggest training ones coz they are more difficult actually and will only confuse the faythe and vyktore. even a smaller one can be tricky coz when you go out the size is not the same. just let them keep trying and be patient. azmarea got it after one go last august so i am sure faythe and vyktore will be the same.
Ivan also uses the chopsticks at home during dinner, coz he sees us using it. Izac also follows his bro and makes a mess everywhere 😛
Wah lah.. I need trainer chopstick. My chopstick skill is atrocious =D
Faythe is so cute =D
Oh, got trainer chopsticks? first time heard that wo. Please update where you got the trainer chopsticks. I want to get a pair too.
So fast already learning to use chopstix….. leftie some more 😀
Here comes creativity!!!
interesting……if you & dadi both lefties, are your kids lefties too? cos genetics play a role……..
