PD Trip on 3rd May

very backdated post.

OK, lets start somewhere. Before we head to Saigon, I’ve got a couple of things to post up hehe…Daddy came back beginning of May and he insisted on a trip to PD. Cause he plans to ride his motorbike to PD with his kawan, while the kawan’s gf and me and the kids drive down :|. Somewhat crazy idea, but since he wants to try a biking trip, let him try.

Hence we made the arrangement with the hotel, we stayed at Legend Water Chalet. We managed to get 30% discount (if I recall correctly) with Daddy’s privilege hehe…and what else, I asked Sue if she wants to join us, so she came as well, with another of her schoolmate, whom so happen when I saw her schoolmate later…OMG!! I know her too LOL….we used to sit the same school bus, but she forgot me liao haha…

We head to PD quite early, didn’t wait for Sue *giggles* cause Daddy didn’t want to ride under the sun. So we left home at 830am to pick his friend’s gf. And off we went, heading towards Sepang. We stopped at Dengkil and had breakfast there before hitting off the trunk road to PD. Yeah, we took the trunk road. It was somewhat interesting for me, cause all this while when I drive to anywhere, I only use highway.

Kids were fast asleep in the car, so friend’s gf, Lin, kept me busy chit chatting with me. Then we stopped by a dragon fruit farm on our way. Took some pics and bought some fruits to eat before we hit the road again. The 2 men were complaining bout how hot it’s getting LOL. We had to put on sunblock lotion for Daddy.

We arrived at the hotel close to 1130am, check-in 1 of the room and rested for a while. I like the room very much, nice seaview, came with 2 beds and a very nice bathroom. The only problem was the bathroom was smacked right at the entrance LOL. Weird design.

Then we went out, since nobody was hungry, so we drove along the coastal road and landed in PD Ostrich Farm. Made our stop there and went in to look at the pathetic Big Bird. Gosh…some of them the feathers are all coming off, poor thing :|. We bought some corns too to feed them, and boy oh boy, they are a bunch of hungry birds. Faythe was very daring, allowing the bird to peck from her hand for food, Vyktore dare not at all hehe…as for me, I dare not too, I got bird phobia one :P…don’t come so close to me.

Then we pass by the area where they had some so called pets, caged up. Iguana & rabbits. Then we came to the place where we can ride an Ostrich. We asked Faythe if she wanted to ride, NO, she didn’t want. She screamed to high heaven when Daddy walked in and stood next to the bird and we told her Daddy was going to ride on the bird LOL. Then Vyktore also went in (don’t know why now he’s not scared) and again Faythe screamed to high heaven and ask us to pull him out quick, when he was only standing at the door, not even close to the bird haha…

After that we drove back to hotel as Sue gave is a call that she’s arriving soon. We had our lunch on our way back too at one of the shop by the roadside.

Everyone was so tired, but the kids refused to sleep when we went back to hotel, we took a nap before we went off to the beach late evening about 6pm. The beach at this Water Chalet is lousy. And the pool was filled with people. Basically, it’s too small for a resort that huge. So we drove up nearer to Avilion where we could find cleaner sandy beach. The kids had fun by the beach side. The most hilarious one was Izac. He refused to get down to the beach, but he wanted to play. So Sue’s maid gotta carry him and he bend down to scoop the sand LOL. But after sometime, he couldn’t resist and finally got his feet dirty hahaha…

My batt went flat at the beach, when I popped in the other battery, half way snapping, I suddenly saw it went down 1 bar. Shiaks…I forgot to charge my backup battery :|. And the worse thing was I didn’t bring my charger….arghh…hence I off my camera and took less shots towards the evening.

We arrived at the hotel close to 730pm, quickly wash up and bath and we went off for dinner. Drove so far, and finally found a shop. The food was cheap & not bad. Stuffed ourselves crazy haha…

Whoa….so tiring driving up and down, finally went home close to 11pm and all went to bed. Next morning, woke up late and missed the Sunrise LOL…we had breakfast and walked to the Water Chalet. It’s nice, wished we could get a unit instead of staying on the tower. Probably next time. The kids had fun at the pool after that, which was loaded with people too :|. Then we check out and head back to KL.

Not much running to do, but tired cause of the long distance driving. That’s all for the trip report. More photos can be seen HERE.
