Today is Vyktore’s Birthday. I’m now blogging at close to 5am (scheduled post). I remember at 5am 2 years ago, this lil’ one testing my pain endurance. I could still remember clearly I was watching football while trying to overcome my labour pain. I could still remember Daddy came to the hospital at the wee hours after his flight. Boy you kept me awake whole night, by the time you were delivered at 6am+, I was so tired n exhausted I wished I could konk-ed out on the spot.

And so fast you are already turning 2!! I seriously can’t imagine how time files sigh….I’m getting old (can’t deny bout that). Being the 2nd child in the family, I do admit that sometimes you have to share the attention within Faythe & You. I feel guilty at times when I think about it. Although Daddy denies it, I can see that he loves Jie Jie more than you. Which makes me sometimes favours you rather than Jie Jie. But I’m trying very hard to be fair, to both of you, at most of the time. You have your own way of winning our hearts. Making our hearts melt with your killer stare. Being passionate to us all the time. Though you don’t speak much, but actions do tell.

We’ve started you with playschool as early as 2 years old simply because I want you to learn more and to talk more. Don’t just talk about cars my dear. There are many more wonderful things on earth besides cars & robots. Open up your eyes, open up your mind and look at other things around you besides cars & robots. I seriously hope you enjoy your playgroup and interact with your peers.

OK, enough of soppy write up. Lets get to your birthday celebration. I so much wanted to celebrate your birthday in Chinese Restaurant, like we did for Jie Jie when she turned 2 (I’m very anal of being fair when it comes to bday celebration), but the fact that Daddy is not around, makes that even tougher. That’s because Daddy can help us to sapu all the food on the table when we can’t finish LOL. But at the very last minute, we decided to do steamboat at home. It’s much cheaper than eating in restaurant, but we put on alot more effort to make the birthday celebration a success.

So pagi pagi buta last Sunday, when it was raining still, I went to market and bought all the ingredients required for the steamboat. Seriously, I was so worried we didn’t have enough for everyone, but Thank God we have some extra, not much (just 1 tupperware extra hehe). At least I don’t have to eat steamboat for the whole of this week :). Went home, cooked the soup and then went off to 1utama to grab some kids clothes.

We had dinner at 7pm. As usual, the only child that was eating with the adults were Faythe. She was like the CEO that day, entertaining everyone. Dinner was great. We finished closed to 9pm. Then clean up all the stuff on the table, and we took the cake out. I gave Vyktore to have a look, cause at that time he was already tugging our clothes telling us, “Mom Mom”, he’s hungry liao. And boy he was so fast, when he saw the Cartoon Car on the cake, he quickly left finger prints on the cake :|.

He was very happy when we sang Happy Birthday for him. But he was so afraid of the candle, he hanged on to Cheryl so tight LOL. Cheryl is his godmother (Mommy side). It’s a pity Gerald not around, and Lawrence & Angie too (father side godparents). Then he slowly blew the candle off, and cut the cake.

And for once, he was so interested with that piece of cake, he finished a whole big piece which I cut for him. He has sweet tooth, for sure. So that was all for the party, except I have 1 thing to rant about the cake. I shall leave that to another post. I almost wanted to burn down the cake house LOL.

Happy Birthday Vyktore Boy!! My only wish for you is to grow up strong & healthy like every other child.

  19. Happy Birthday to Vyktore. Time sure flies. Its the same for us this fairness unfairness and the first girl being daddy’s gal and all. Can’t wait to read why you want to burn the cake house down. Hahaha.

    psst psst: still remember the day when u delivered Vyktore 2 years ago, World Cup was on and Mr. Hon joked about the name to be given to Vyktore i.e. Vyktore was to be named after the 1st person who shoots in the goal. Hahaha! (forgot what’s the name oredi).
