Hot Air Balloon Fiesta: 22nd March

Events Faythe Jazzmint Scrapbooking Vyktore

before this gets backdated, I thought I better post it up.

Over the weekend, I came to know about the KL 1st Hot Air Balloon Fiesta which was held in Putrajaya. Yah…you read me, Putrajaya again..Don’t we have enough of this place :P.

Anyway, i thought to bring the kids and have a look what hot air balloon is all about. And to avoid the traffic, I decided to go during the morning session which starts at 745am!! We were supposed to meet Sue and family there, but she decided not to go, so only myself, the kids & Cheryl came along too.

I went to loan a 70-300mm Nikkor lense from my sifu, but since I was so near to the Hot Air Balloon Launching Pad, it was rather useless. Only those shots taken with the balloon on air was with the zoom lense. Those on the ground were better off with the Tamron.

Faythe was excited as usual and she even took some photos with our point n shoot camera. But she was a bit upset we couldn’t sit the hot air balloon :P.

Vyktore as usual, was afraid cause the balloon was so huge. He didn’t even want to stand, just cling on to the maid.

The event was short, by 830am, everything was done. We bought 2 halogen balloons (similar to those we got in Vietnam during Tet) each for Faythe & Vyktore.

I’d say there’s nothing special bout this event, apart from the odd shapes of a few balloons :P. Good thing we didn’t need to pay for it.
