Tet Celebration, Vietnam: 26-28 Jan

Daddy Events Faythe Jazzmint Travelogue Vyktore

no. 2 super back dated post.

Continuation of our Tet Celebration in Vietnam. We slept rather late on the eve of CNY cause we were told there will be fireworks. Vyktore was too tired, so he slept with Daddy after our scrumptious reunion dinner.

Faythe was happily toddling around the roof top while waiting for the fireworks. The landlord also prepared some goodies to be offered during prayers, but theirs are not as extravagant like those I usually see in KL. But when the firework finally started, Faythe got bored. She said, “Mama, lets go and sleep, this fireworks not nice“. haha..result of watching too many Malaysia Fireworks Competition in close range, so the ones in Vietnam was really nothing to her. I enjoyed it though. There were fireworks at 4 locations, but a tad far from us.

Our 1st, 2nd & 3rd day was rather boring. Since Daddy were working most of the time, we ended up staying at home. On 1st Day, we signed up for Cu Chi Tunnel Tour for my dad and he went off with the Tour, while myself and the kids sat at home. Most of the restaurants were closed too. Hence we eat in on some of the meals.

On 2nd Day, I brought my Dad to Reunification Palace since this the 1st time he’s there. Vyktore & Faythe were bored to death as usual :P. Especially Faythe. I kept telling her she can’t touch the things and some places we can’t walk, in the end she said this: “Mama, why this place everything cannot touch, cannot walk one?

On 3rd Day, we wanted to go bank, but it was closed!! So then we thought we should go to Binh Tanh, but it was closed too…DUH!! So we just wandered around the town (like a ghost town, so quiet..no BEP BEP everywhere LOL) and finally we head home for lunch.

At night, we went out dinner with Daddy’s friends, and finally we found 1 restaurant which was open (we knew it was open cause Daddy has a friend that works there..duhh duhh..LOL).

So that wraps up the boring 3 days…

I manage to take more photos of the quiet city. Photos HERE.
