I definitely have heaps to catch up with in terms of blogging. While I’m very excited to share the CNY photos, sad to say I’ve not even downloaded them from my camera(s) :(. I sort of regret at times getting a PNS, because it means I have even more photos now to process O.o.
Anyway, lets start with something that happened in mid of Jan.
When the kids were babies, we always have some toys for them to play. Just so to distract them so that we can quickly bath them. Ever since then, they’ve been having various toys in the bathroom.
When they were babies, they had rubber ducks. Then they graduated to cups and spoons. At times, Vyktore even brings his plastic animals to bath together O.o.
Recently, apart from all these, they also invented a new bath toy. When I empty a refill pack of body shampoo, they will use it to fill it up with water, then smash it up, like a volcano effect *roll eyes*. Yes, they are very creative in creating games for themselves.
As much as want them to enjoy bath time, I think they are getting too old for bath toys. And bath time has become 1 hour, it used to be 15 mins!!
So on 15th Jan, I made the decision: Bye bye bath toys!!
And here’s what I told them:
Mommy: Look, both of you are quite big already. You don’t need toys to keep you company during bath time. So lets all say good bye to them. No more toys during bath time. Mandi fast fast and done with it.
Both of them looked at me stunned.
Faythe will always have her reasoning. “But Mommy, we are still children”.
As for Vyktore, he didn’t really care much. He still brings his personal animals into the shower now and he will ask me to wipe them dry after bathing so that he can continue playing with them.
So officially, we are moving to another phase of their childhood. I didn’t get rid of the pail, just the stuff in it. So they still have the pail. Now they constantly fill it up with water and then put a hanky in it and pretend to help me clean my bathroom walls.
Kids!! Never fail to amaze us.
My bathroom is also filled with various types of toys…:)
Ya… My kids too like to bring face towels into the shower to play!
Even though I get rid of those bath toys, they still use the pail, water scoop and shower head as their toys *rolleyes*
kids and their toys ey? mine brings a plastic watering can for plant, a small one and a wooden spoon to bath *slap head*
Hey you might as well give them rugs and get them to clean up the bathroom wall for real 🙂
Hey, sms me the password for your HK post pls.
